Go To

Playmaker chases after the mysterious individual who attacked Jin, and challenges him to a Duel. However, he has a hard time trying to deal with the mysterious man's never-before-seen cards. In order to achieve victory, Playmaker uses the new card he received from Ai to counterattack!

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Big Damn Heroes: After Haru sics both Bit and Boot on Playmaker to keep him distracted, Soulburner arrives to deal with the pair so that Playmaker can concentrate on pursuing Bowman and Haru.
  • Big Entrance: Soulburner appears from a whirling burst of flame, and confronts the Bit and Boot pair in Playmaker's stead so that he can concentrate on tailing Bowman and Haru.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Haru gives Bohman an Anti-Ignis program in case he loses and Ai tries to eat him for his memories.
  • Identity Amnesia: After Playmaker uncovers the unknown figure, revealed to be Bohman, Bohman questions his own identity, only to be quickly reminded of who he is thanks to Haru.
  • Magical Incantation: For the first time, Playmaker recites a unique Summoning chant, which he does for the Ritual Summoning of Cyberse Magician.
The contract has been made. The sage who wields dark power inherits these two souls! Ritual Summon! Rise, Cyberse Magician!
  • Mythology Gag: Prior to Playmaker performing a Ritual Summon, Ai is seen wearing a shaman's hat stirring something in a cauldron while saying "Du-Du-Duel!", which sounds very similar to the English OP of the original series.
  • No-Sell: Playmaker Tributes Linkuriboh to change the ATK of the unknown figure's other Flow High Drive to 0, saving himself from losing the Duel.
  • Oh, Crap!: Haru is surprised at the sight of a Cyberse Ritual Monster, as he doesn't recall any records of them.
  • Protagonist Title: The title "Judgement Arrow" doesn't only refer to Bowman's link magic, but it also refers to Playmaker's new Link Monster Shootingcode Talker, who uses a bow to attack.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Haru escapes with Bohman, and sics Bit and Boot on Playmaker to keep him occupied.
  • Sherlock Scan: Bohman, after getting over his apparent Identity Amnesia, does a quick accessment of the field before resuming the Duel. He is then able to quickly put the odds back in his favor.
  • Wham Line:
Playmaker: From my hand, I activate the ritual spell, Cybernet Ritual!
