- Subverted. While Blue Angel's "Trickstar Treat" would have lead to her defeat by the time Spectre's turn ends, Spectre instead decides to end her himself with his "Sunbloom Doom", wiping out her remaining LP.
- Spectre defied this trope shortly before that too; when Blue Angel points out that him occupying all the three zones linked to "Dryannome" leaves him exposed to an attack, since he can't use "Dryanome's" effect to summon a token anymore, he reveals that he can negate an attack by shifting a monster to another zone, leaving him with a free zone to summon a token in the process.
- Kick the Dog: For Spectre, calling Blue Angel a "worthless woman who will never be a blue angel" is a verbally serious slap to her face. He also later goes on to burn her beloved 'Blue Angel' book right in front of her.
- Nightmare Face: Spectre makes some disturbing facial expressions as he activates his Sunbloom Doom Trap, and when finishing off Blue Angel while slamming her with a "The Reason You Suck" Speech.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Combined with Break Them by Talking, Spectre calls Blue Angel an incompetent blue angel as he wipes out the rest of her LP and defeats her.
- Sadist: Spectre, following the footsteps of Yuri, takes pleasure in breaking Blue Angel mentally, tearing and incinerating the "Blue Angel" picture book in front of her eyes.
- Say My Name: Akira cries out for Aoi after she is defeated by Spectre.
