Recap / Yu Gi Oh SEVENS Ep 26 Maximum Duel

Go To

Yuga brings out his own Maximum Monster, Super Magitek Deity Magnum Over Road, to counter Nail's Yggdrago. The intense duel between Yuga and Nail draws to a close with Rush Dueling and Yuga's friends' accounts on the line.

Tropes:

  • All Your Powers Combined: The support of Yuga's friends and acquaintances alike all grant him the determination to persevere in his duel against Nail to the very end.
  • Determinator: Though Nail continues to give Yuga a hard time even after the latter brings out his own Maximum Monster, he doesn't relent, and perseveres to the very end with the moral support of his friends and acquaintances.

  • Graceful Loser: Nail takes his loss against Yuga in stride and acknowledges the potential of Rush Duels.
  • I Gave My Word: After losing to Yuga, Nail returns Kaizo's original data to him as promised.
  • One-Hit Kill: Yuga depletes the entirety of Nail's 4000 LP in a single attack with the 9400 ATK Magnum Over Road against the 4000 ATK Yggdrago.
  • Reality Ensues: Of course Nail knew Yuga was going to find his own way to Maximum Summon. After revealing such a powerful monster, he's going to assume someone like Yuga is going to push back with either his own Maximum Monster, a counter-strategy against his own, or both.
  • Taking You with Me: Nail would've been able to force the duel to end in a DRAW with the trap card Annihilation. He doesn't get the chance, however, as Yuga boosts Magnum Over Road's ATK to the point that the difference between it and Yggdrago's ATK far exceeds that of Nail's 4000 LP, allowing Yuga to fully deplete his opponent's LP before he can activate Annihilation.

  • Up to Eleven: Prior to their final battle, Magnum Over Road's effects boost its ATK to 9400, allowing it to finish off the 4000 ATK Yggdrago.
