In order to keep the Xiaolin Dragons from finding the secret to destroying all evil, Chase Young combines the Monkey Staff and Tongue of Saiping to give Jack Spicer an army of monkeys to control. With his monkey army, Jack launches an attack on the Xiaolin Temple.
Tropes:
- The Bad Guy Wins: Chase's plan to prevent the monks from getting the Eagle Scope is successful, and thus they have lost their chance to learn the secret to destroying all evil.
- Big Eater: While not really shown in this (unless you count Jack and the Green Monkeys eating all those bananas), but Clay's family is apparently like this, because when he and the others are fighting off the Green Monkeys, Clay exclaims, "I haven't seen this much biting and scratching since [my family's] last Thanksgiving!"
- Man Bites Man: In the Showdown, the monkey-like Jack bites Omi. At the end, when Omni has distracted Jack with a banana, he gets revenge by biting him himself, sending him down the bottomless pit.
- The Mind Is a Plaything of the Body: A side effect of the Monkey Staff is causing its wielder to slowly become increasingly monkey-like. Chase allows Jack to use it against the monks but does not take it away, causing Jack to eventually lose the ability think and act like a human. As it turns out, it was all part of Chase's plan to keep Jack out of the way.
- Once an Episode: Omi places the Changing Chopsticks in a banana so Jack will touch them at the same time. Omi wagers the Mantis Flip Coin for Jack's Monkey Staff. Whoever falls fist loses. They fight in a jungle gym made of bamboo and Omi wins by placing a banana between bamboo stalks distracting Monkey Jack who can't dislodge it from the bamboo. Omi uses the opportunity to bite Monkey Jack in the butt after Monkey Jack bit him in rear end earlier and sending him plummeting.
- Wham Episode: Wuya leaves Jack for good in this episode in favor of Chase.
- Also begins Chase’s more overt attempts to make Omi his apprentice and the latter being The Chosen One.
