Flug and Co must defeat Superhero Bulldozer and 5.0.5. must prove that he's not so useless at the job.

Tropes

  • A Plot in Deed: Black Hat's price for the mission is the deed to the manor.
  • An Offer You Can't Refuse: Black Hat makes it clear he and only he can make Bulldozer disappear.
Black Hat: Your salvation... is in my hands...
  • Apathetic Citizens: A bystander stumbles upon the defeated Ringworm, and stops to take a photo with his phone.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: The house's boiler/heart. Bulldozer manages to get as far as its actual location... which is where he meets 5.0.5.
  • Brick Joke: In the second scene, Black Hat drags the gang back to his office along with an unfortunate bystander. We see Black Hat imprison him in his own cellphone later.
  • The Cameo: Grim can be seen in a painting with Mother Poltergeist and Emilia.
  • Cutting the Knot: As the Black Hat ship approaches the house, the living hedge maze at the front threatens the crew. Flug simply increases the height the ship's traveling at and bypasses it entirely. When it tries again with Bulldozer, he smashes past the hedges entirely.
Flug: Thanks, buddy, not now! Maybe on the way out.
  • Deus Exit Machina: Demencia is lost in the house when Bulldozer comes to the possessed house.
  • Genius Loci: The house itself is sentient, and almost completely animated.
  • Hero Of The Week: Bulldozer.
  • I Know What You Fear: Inverted. The house and the children are getting desperate because, for all their tricks, they don't know what Bulldozer's afraid of. Flug diagnoses him with "Captain Hook Syndrome" - the thing that took his hand is the one thing he fears. It's bears. Even the relentlessly cheery and cuddly 5.0.5 elicits a reaction of sheer terror.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Played for Laughs. Flug and 5.0.5. realised that Demencia isn't with them at the end only when she didn't answer back to Flug.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus:
    • Fred - like teen from the beginning can be seen trapped in the picture.
    • The visual distortion after the title card shows flashes of Miss Heed's medical exam file for P.E.A.C.E.
  • Kick the Dog: Demencia gets very annoyed with 5.0.5 when he fails to do much against Ringworm, and even mocks him with Flug's gesture to cut her tirade out.
  • Mood Whiplash: In Black Hat's words:
  • Obliviously Evil: Bulldozer wants to destroy the possessed house that he mistakenly thinks is evil.
  • Oh, No... Not Again!: Black Hat dumps a defeated Ringworm, trussed and served on a plate with the classic apple in the mouth, to a family of monsters. The hero can only wearily moan the trope name.
  • Ominous Visual Glitch: Black Hat causes this twice: first, Bulldozer's announcement fizzles out into a communication with the ghost children, and later on, the bystander gawking at the fight with Ringworm battle tries taking Black Hat's photo on his cell, to this effect.
  • Running Gag:
    • Demencia's interest in Flug's wallet in this episode.
  • Scooby-Dooby Doors: One of the doors in the possessed house is linked to every other door in the property, forming a Portal Network in the house that changes destination every time you open it. To Flug's annoyance, though, it follows a pattern, and if you miss a door you want, you have to open and close it over five thousand times to get back to that specific door.
  • Shadow Walker: The main trio, their ship and a bystander are devoured by a shadow creature (that could very well be Black Hat's pet snake Lil' Jack) and spat out into Black Hat's office.
  • Shoo the Dog: Flug tries to keep 5.0.5 at the ship, since he doesn't feel the bear can be a real asset.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Something We Forgot: Played for Laughs. After getting the deed to the manor and flying away, Flug and 5.0.5. noticed that Demencia is not with them. She's actually playing the cards with ghost children at this moment. When ghosts asked Demencia about all this, she replied that they'll come back. At least because she has Flug's wallet.
  • There Was a Door: Bulldozer smashes through the front maze and a wall when he first enters the house, and parodying the trope, flees through the main door when 5.0.5 terrifies him, and gets back inside so he can smash another wall on his way out.
  • Undead Child: This episode's clients are a group of ghost children.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Bulldozer greatly fears bears, since one bit his hand off. Even the cutesy 5.0.5 and the Bear Brothers terrify him by being bears alone.
