Recap / Twelve Forever Pilot

Go To

An enthusiastic young girl who doesn't want to grow up creates a fantastic world for herself where she never has to.

  • Early-Installment Weirdness: Given that it's the original pilot, there's plenty of things that differ from the full series.
    • "Endless Island" is called "Party Island".
    • Two characters that don't exist in the main series, Shane and Tristan, appear here; Shane was ultimately replaced by Todd and Esther, and some of Tristan's character traits were given to Dustin, Reggie's brother.
    • Shane needs Twelve to help activate his powers, while Todd and Esther can both activate their powers on their own. He also doesn't get a wardrobe change when he goes to the island.
    • In the series proper, it's explicitly stated that Reggie can't bring anything from the island into the real world; here, she's able to do so, and said items still work in the real world.
    • Here, the Butt Witch hates being called that. In the series proper, she doesn't care (though Big Deal does).
  • Fountain of Youth: The Butt Witch uses a potion that will turn whoever drinks it into a baby. It's used on her at the end.
  • Gender Bender: Reggie briefly turns Shane into a giant mother in order to turn a babyfied Tristan back to normal.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Shane doesn't seem to mind Reggie using her powers to turn him into a surfboard and a giant mother.
