Daniel and Grimlock stumble upon mysterious room under Cybertron that transports them to Menonia, a magical realm filled with fantasy creature. The two encounter the Red Wizard who asks for their help in stopping a rebellion that seeks to dispose of his rule. However, there's more to the Red Wizard's rule than initially appears.

- Comically Missing the Point: After Daniel is safely returned to Cybertron, his father Spike wants to have a stern talk with him. Grimlock steps up for Daniel, but he thinks Spike is upset about Daniel getting his tuxedo dirty instead of running off and getting trapped in another dimension.Spike: Young man, I want to talk to you.
Daniel: But dad, it was an accident. Honest.
Grimlock: Daniel tell truth. He not mean to get all dirty.

Grimlock: What so funny? - Deceptive Disciple: Mara-Al-Utha studied under the Golden One after he was banished to Menonia and trained to harness his skills in sorcery. Mara-Al-Utha used his new magical skills to betray the Golden One and take over the kingdom for himself.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Grimlock is tricked by the Red Wizard into helping him repel the rebel forces that have gathered to overthrow his tyrannical rule. The other Autobots help Grimlock fight off the rebels once they arrive in Menonia, unaware of the Red Wizard's true colors.
- Our Centaurs Are Different: Daniel and Grimlock are attacked by a group of centaur-like creatures when the arrive in Menonia. The centaurs start off as trees before turning into wooden cyclopes with their bodies jutting out the back of shaggy boar creatures.
- Sealed Evil in Another World: The Quintessons used to banish criminals to other dimensions when they ruled Cybertron. The Red Wizard is revealed to be Mara-Al-Utha, who was banished for studying the forbidden art of sorcery back on Cybertron.
- This Is No Time to Panic: When Daniel goes missing, everyone panics when they learn he was last seen running off with Grimlock. Rodimus tries to reassure everyone in his own special way:Rodimus: Don't panic yet. Stay calm until we know what's going on. Then we'll panic.
- Trapped in Another World: Daniel and Grimlock come across an ancient inter-dimensional gateway that the Quintessons used to banish criminals to other worlds. The two end up stranded in the fantasy realm of Menonia, which is ruled by the evil Quintesson sorcerer the Red Wizard.
- Unreliable Voiceover: The Red Wizard explains that he was a loyal student of the Golden One and after he took over as Menonia's benevolent ruler when he mysteriously disappeared, an armed rebellion formed to dispose of him and seize power for themselves. During his narration, we actually see the Red Wizard betrayed the Golden One, enslaved the population of Menonia, and is trying to stop the rebellion from overthrowing his tyrannical rule.
