2F - Crown Game

    Season 1: Ch. 14 (Chapter 14)

Ranker Test Administrator Quant arrives before Yu Hansung to inform him of three powerful newcomers that destroyed his starting test area. Two of which were a Jahad Princess and an Irregular, much to Yu Hansung's shock that they've ended up in a rough situation due to Quant's crazy testing methods. As a result, Yu Hansung decides to create a bonus game involving these three powerful people.

As Bam and company wait on standby with around 20 other 3-man-teams that made it through Yu Hansung's test, Khun heads off to take a bathroom break while Shibisu greets Bam to get to know one another better. After Khun returns, Lero-Ro arrives to inform everyone that it's been decided for the Regulars to take part in a Crown Game, and that the 3-man-team that wins it will be allowed to skip the remaining 2nd Floor tests to automatically head up to the Tower's 3rd Floor, which catches everyone's attention. Bam and the Regulars are then brought to a circular arena with a large chair in the middle of it. In addition, a small gold crown is seen on one of the chair's armrests, and each of 3-man-teams are put into their own little starting rooms with the option to choose if they should enter the arena or not.

Lero-Ro then goes over the rules, which basically amounts to teams having the option to enter at any time over the course of five rounds, and whichever team has possession of the crown by the end of the 5th round is announced as the Crown Game's winner. However, teams that buzz in have to remain in the arena for the rest of the game. He also informs his group of Regulars that the 3-man-team from Quant's testing area will also be participating. Lero-Ro announces for the Crown Game to now begin, but no one buzzes in right away knowing how disadvantageous it is to go in right away, and have to hold out for all five rounds. Shibisu decides to follow this notion, but Annak and Hatz are confident that they can easily win, and buzz in. They're met in the arena by the only other team daring enough to try to try to last the whole game, which is Team Kancho/Kon/Shopin.

    Season 1: Ch. 15 (Chapter 15)

The Crown Game's 1st Round begins. Only the Shibisu/Anaak/Hatz and Kancho/Kon/Shopin teams enter the Crown Game since many have deduced that going in too early will be a huge disadvantage. However, Anaak orders Shibisu and Hatz to stay back as she will dispose of the enemy team herself. Anaak easily overpowers the Kancho/Kon/Shopin team on her own thanks to her powerful hook-weapon and overall strength. With fighting not being an option, Kancho orders his team to try to make for the chair, but Anaak easily gets ahead of them, and knocks them all back with her hook-weapon.

Anaak then places the crown on her head, and ends the 1st Round with her sitting on the chair. Everyone watching admits that Anaak will be a powerful opponent as Shibisu asks for the Crown since him being the weakling makes it obvious that it should be his two powerful teammates protecting him. However, Anaak refuses to hand the crown over, much to Shibisu's confusion and anger over Anaak restricting herself.

    Season 1: Ch. 16 (Chapter 16)

The Crown Game's 2nd Round begins. Shibisu remains annoyed that Anaak is screwing their team over by sitting in the chair with the crown on her head, which Khun is relieved that a powerful foe has decided to weaken herself. Despite Shibisu's worry that they're team is now screwed, Hatz remains confident that they're powerful enough to defend Anaak. The FirstEmperor/LeoCloaker/Deod and Lauroe/Serena/Hoh teams enter the Crown Game to face off against the Shibisu/Anaak/Hatz team. However, Lauroe remains fast asleep despite being in the arena, which puts the Serena/Hoh duo down a man.

While Shibisu's forced to hold off Serena and Hoh on his own using taunts and dirty tactics, Hatz being a good sword user manages to overpower and defeat the FirstEmperor/LeoCloaker/Deod team on his own. Hoh manages to grab hold of Shibisu from behind, but Hatz then comes to his teammate's rescue. Hatz then turns his attention to strike the sleeping Lauroe.

    Season 1: Ch. 17 (Chapter 17)

A brief flashback is seen of the Lauroe/Serena/Hoh team in their Crown Game starting room. Lauroe decides that their team should enter the 2nd Round, much to Serena and Hoh's confusion. He explains the plan that the ones defending the crown will be at an advantage once more teams start to join in and fight one another to try to claim the crown, so they should join in while the number of teams are still low in order to take advantage of the attacking teams fighting one another later on. He also reveals that he's a shinsu user, and that he's more than powerful enough to defend the crown once they've stolen it.

In the present, Lauroe wakes up, and enters the fight by showing off his incredible shinsu usage. He aims a blast of shinsu at Anaak, which surprises her into finally being forced to move while remaining on the chair. Hoh and Serena then charge forward as a duel take place on the chair against Shibisu and Hatz. Lauroe's continued shinsu blasts eventually forces Anaak to ignite her hook-weapon to hold him off. Her hook-weapon extends large enough to slam down upon Lauroe's location from far away, much to everyone's surprise. Meanwhile, Bam watches and grabs hold of Black March, which it's showing a reaction to Anaak's hook-weapon.

    Season 1: Ch. 18 (Chapter 18)

Lauroe managed to avoid Anaak's long-range hook-weapon attack, which he starts to realize why Anaak was confident enough to be the one that remains on the chair. The watching Lero-Ro also notes how dangerous Anaak's weapon seems to be. Anaak continues with a barrage of long-ranged attacks with her extended hook-weapon upon the Lauroe/Serena/Hoh team, which Khun deems unfair that a newcomer Regular has a powerful ignition weapon. Meanwhile, Bam warns his teammates that Black March is acting weird. It's at this point that Anaak senses her hook-weapon reacting to the weapon in Bam's possession, and looks in his direction. To her surprise, she realizes that he has the Black March.

While Anaak's distracted, Serena and Hoh grab hold of Lauroe and return to their starting room to surrender out of the match. Lauroe disagrees with the decision, but Serena convinces him that this was a moment to run given how powerful Anaak is, and that it was only a bonus game. Shibisu advises Anaak to calm down now that the 2nd Round is over, but Anaak gives up the throne, and charges over to Bam's location. Breaking into the Bam/Khun/Rak starting room, Anaak orders Bam to hand over the Black March.

    Season 1: Ch. 19 (Chapter 19)

Anaak stands in front of the Bam/Khun/Rak team wanting Bam's Black March. Shibisu and Hatz catch up to Anaak, which Shibisu scolds her for disqualifying their team from the Crown Game over a stupid weapon. However, Anaak informs him that what Bam has is one of the 13 Month Weapon Series crafted by the famed blacksmith, Ashul Edwaru. Shibisu asks how Anaak knows that, which she reveals that she's a daughter of King Jahad. Everyone's surprised to hear that Anaak's a Jahad Princess, which she reveals that the hook-weapon in her possession is actually another 13 Month Weapon Series known as the Green April, and that 13 Month Weapons react if they're near one another. However, Bam refuses to hand over the Black March since he's only borrowing it from Princess Yuri, and has to return it to her.

Not liking Bam's answer, Anaak prepares her Green April to take the Black March by force, but she's stopped by Lero-Ro, who orders Anaak to return to her starting room since her actions have lost her the Crown Game. Anaak relents, but still wanting the Black March, she asks for a rule change. A rule that puts their 13 Month Weapons up for grabs depending on if Bam wins the Crown Game. Lero-Ro finds the idea interesting while Bam doesn't see why he should take on such a bet. She threatens to kill him after the Crown Game if he decides to keep the Black March from her. Seeing Bam struggling to think it over, Anaak taunts that she gets his lack of confidence in winning given his weak looking teammates, which causes Khun and Rak to answer for Bam that they will accept the bet.

    Season 1: Ch. 20 (Chapter 20)

Lero-Ro agrees to the rule change where Baam will get the Green April if he wins the Crown Game while losing will result in him giving the Black March to Anaak. In addition, the Crown Game is reset due to the Shibisu/Anaak/Hatz team's disqualification while the Bam/Khun/Rak team is forced to play from here on out. On the way back to their starting room, the Shibisu/Anaak/Hatz team passes by the starting room of the monster team from Quant's survival test. One of the hooded girls from the monster team whispers something to Anaak, which pisses the latter off, but she's stopped from acting out by Hatz, and they continue on.

Meanwhile, Bam apologizes to his teammates for putting them in a bad situation. However, Khun praises him for refusing to hand over the Black March to a Jahad Princess. Thus, Bam flashes back to when Rachel taught him to not betray people, especially girls, which in the present, Bam wants to keep to that philosophy. In return, Khun thinks over how his mother once told him the opposite to not trust anyone. In the end, Khun praises Bam even further doing what he could not. That despite how weak he is, Bam's choosing to protect people he trusts. An announcement is then made that the 3rd Round of the Crown Game will now begin as the Bam/Khun/Rak team enters the arena along with the Rozeal/Chichi/HyunSeung, Levin/Catan/Palgyon, and Aleksai/Chungchung/Leon3 teams.

    Season 1: Ch. 21 (Chapter 21)

The Crown Game's 3rd Round begins. Team Bam/Khun/Rak are set to face off against three other teams: Rozeal/Chichi/HyunSeung, Levin/Catan/Palgyon, and Aleksai/Chungchung/Leon3. The three opposing teams deduce that it will be based on speed to reach the crown first, but before they could act, Khun suddenly appears at the crown chair before everyone else using a bit of trickery. Rather than Khun putting the crown on himself, he offers it to the other teams, and taunts them to come at him, which the watching Shibisu gets what Khun is going for. Khun's plan being to stall for time until Bam reaches the chair so that Bam can be the crowned one on the chair while Khun and Rak serve as the guards.

Khun taunts the other teams to the point of throwing them the crown, and that the winner of their fights for it will get to challenge him for the chair. Khun being so arrogant and cocky as if he's looking down on them enrages the other three teams into forming a truce against Khun. As Rak and Khun fight off the members of the opposing teams, Chungchung waits for the opportunity to go for the crown while everyone's distracted.

    Season 1: Ch. 22 (Chapter 22)

Bam watches as Rak and Khun fight off the opposing three teams, such as seeing Khun trap Catan in his Manbarondena bag, and him quickly disposing of Chichi. The opposing teams eventually manage to encircle Rak and Khun, but Khun relies on trickery again by making Rak dodge an enemy swing from Leon3 that takes out enemy allies. Seeing that they're on the backfoot, the rifleman, Levin, fires a bullet at the weakest opponent, Bam. However, as if the Black March is supporting him, Bam unintentionally casts up a shinsu freezing barrier that stops the bullet in its tracks, much to everyone's surprise.

Rak throws his spear at Levin to destroy the latter's rifle as he and Khun dispose of the remaining enemies. With no other options left, Chungchung makes the move to go for the crown that Khun threw on the ground earlier. However, Khun pulls out another crown from his bag. He reveals that the crown he's currently holding is the real one while the crown he threw on the ground is a fake that was created by his Manbarondena bag that has the power to duplicate objects, which shocks Chungchung.

    Season 1: Ch. 23 (Chapter 23)

The 3rd Round ends with the real crown being placed on Bam's head while he sits in the chair. Meanwhile, having pieced together the real/fake crown scheme that Khun pulled, the watching Shibisu realizes how smart the former actually is. Khun then takes out a piece of blue cloth and ties up his hair with it. Rak stands ready for the next fight, but Khun assures him that they have nothing to worry about.

The Crown Game's 4th Round begins. Three teams, InoaYoran/Hoshi/Pichuru, Blarouse/KukakuRakukakuka/Grey, and RedHair/Le-Ara/Ucha enter the Crown Game to take on the Bam/Khun/Rak team. Two of the teams agree to team up until the crown team is eliminated, but they're both suddenly attacked by the Blarouse/KukakuRakukakuka/Grey team as it turns out that they're working for Bam's team. Rak remains confused by what's going on, which Khun reveals what he did.

Khun explains that he recruited three other Regulars during the initial 2nd Floor survival test, and that this is them repaying Khun for allowing them to hide in his Manbarondena bag through the first couple 2nd Floor tests until Yu Hansung noticed something was up. The bathroom break before the Crown Game being when Khun finally let his three recruits out of the bag, and the blue cloth he put on just now being the sign for when Khun calls upon them to repay the debt. Khun adds that he didn't want to waste such a trick on a bonus game, but given what's happened so far, he's started to come around on the idea that he wants to climb the Tower alongside Bam and Rak. After the fighting, the 4th Round ends with the Blarouse/KukakuRakukakuka/Grey team having defeated the other two teams for the Bam/Khun/Rak team.

    Season 1: Ch. 24 (Chapter 24)

The Crown Game's 5th Round begins. As Shibisu is left wondering if Bam can pull it off, four teams enter the final round to take on the Bam/Khun/Rak team. These four opposing teams include Mask/YungChangsoo/Goon, Dahdi/RedBull/GreenPhil, Baunian/Azadni/BlakStatil, and the dreaded 3-man-team that destroyed Quant's testing area. To the surprise of the Bam/Khun/Rak team, they watch as Mask easily dispose of the Dahdi/RedBull/GreenPhil and Baunian/Azadni/BlakStatil teams with a pole-like weapon. Mask then quickly bypasses Khun and Rak, and reaches Bam at the crown chair. Meanwhile, Goon and Yung then battle it out with Rak and Khun to keep them preoccupied from helping Bam.

Standing before Bam, Mask orders him to drop the crown, but Bam refuses; stating that he will protect it to the end. Mask swings its pole-like weapon down upon Bam to force him to drop it, but the strike is blocked by the hooded girl that whispered something to Anaak earlier using a floating object that she can control. The other hooded girl of the dreaded 3-man-team assures Bam that they won't take the crown as it turns out that they've come to Bam's aid against the Mask/YungChangsoo/Goon team. Hearing the new hooded girl's voice, Bam recognizes it as Rachel's.

    Season 1: Ch. 25 (Chapter 25)

Mask attempts to attack the hooded girl that spoke to Anaak while Bam tries to call out to the other hooded girl that he believes is Rachel, but she refuses to answer, and the big red guy of the dreaded 3-man-team standing by keeps Bam on edge. Meanwhile, Khun and Rak realize that they're being supported by the dreaded 3-man-team while Shibisu and Anaak remain confused as to what's going on. Khun remains convinced that they've won while Bam thinks over how to deal with the current Rachel situation. Before he could decide however, Mask breaks away from the hooded girl that was keeping her preoccupied, and goes after the hooded girl that Bam believes is Rachel. Mask strikes her head, which causes the hood to drop; revealing Rachel to Bam.

As Mask's about to land the finishing blow on Rachel, Bam goes to her aid, much to everyone's shock that Bam abandoned the crown chair, which disqualifies the Bam/Khun/Rak team from the Crown Game. Bam ends up getting smashed in the head from Mask's weapon as Mask goes for another strike. As he's about to fall unconscious, Bam thinks to himself apologizing to Khun and Rak for his failure as he remembers back to his time spent with Rachel, and his desire to protect her. The result is Bam performing some unknown attack against Mask that breaks through the latter's facial-mask, and leaves everyone shocked and confused as to what Bam just did.

At another Tower location, Yuri and Evan meet with Rankers from the Wolhaiksong organization as they explore several tunnels looking for a way to sneak into Evankhell's 2nd Floor. Amongst the Wolhaiksong Rankers is a big guy named Kurudan, which Yuri orders him to hand over his special Wing Tree Badge to someone that they're meeting up with on the 2nd Floor.

Test Administrator, Quant Blitz

At an area of Evankhall's fortress, Yu Hansung is seen talking with his fellow 2nd Floor Test Administrator Ranker, Quant Blitz, who has just finished evaluating the survival test for his Regulars. Yu Hansung comes off surprised that only three managed to pass Quant's test, which he questions if the Regulars took part in some crazy death match. However, Quant answers that it was just a 30-minute survival match. Yu Hansung refuses to believe that only three survived out of the 200 Regulars that took part in Quant's test, but Quant assures him that he's telling the truth. Yu Hansung then asks if the slaughter was due to the arrival of a Jahad Princess or an Irregular, but Quant answers that it was both.

The revelation shocks Yu Hansung hearing that two powerful monsters have appeared at once, and complains to Quant wanting to know why he didn't inform anyone else of this. Quant admits that he just forgot about it, and apologizes for failing to check the information on the combatants. Yu Hansung covers his face in defeat worrying about what Administrator Evankhell will think of them the moment he gets word about this, and tells Quant that they will definitely be fired over this. Quant apologizes once more, and begs Yu Hansung to come up with a solution for this that doesn't result in him getting canned, but despite not having a solution yet, Yu Hansung informs him that he will come up with something. He then asks for Quant to prepare him coffee, which Quant quickly chooses to do so.

Khun informs his team that he needs a bathroom break

Resting after the day's work as a Test Administrator, Yu Hansung gives off a smile, and takes out his pocket. Yu Hansung chooses to call Lero-Ro about the recent discovery, and thinks to himself how much of a smart person he is.

Within a waiting room, the Regulars that have all passed Yu Hansung's test have all gathered. Regulars are all seen looking at one another as Bam points out that the number of people have dropped significantly. Khun points out that about 20 teams appear to have made it through, and mentions to his team that he needs to go to the bathroom. Bam watches Khun inform Yellowy's guide about the emergency, and is greeted, at this point, by Shibisu.

Introducing himself to Bam, Shibisu mentions how he's a Regular in the same boat as him. Bam introduces himself as well as Shibisu next asks about the alligator next to him. Rak introduces himself as well, but also claims himself to be the true leader of the current era. Having a conversation, Shibisu points out how awesome it is that Bam managed to make it this far despite looking like just a normal boy. Bam answers that it's because of his teammates that he's been able to make it this far, which Shibisu agrees that they can also be the most scary.

Shibisu and Bam discuss their desire to climb the Tower

Looking over at the remaining Regulars, Shibisu mentions how the 2nd Floor tests seem to be approaching the finish, and announces to Bam that he will pass the tests in order to complete a promoise he made to a friend about climbing to the top of the Tower. He then asks Bam what his purpose to climb the Tower is, which Bam answers that he's trying to find someone in the Tower. Shibisu informs Bam that the search for a single Regular may be rough due to the size of the Tower, but Bam makes it clear that no matter what, he needs to see her again. Getting up, Shibisu apologizes for his previous statement, but adds that he hopes for Bam to find what he's searching for. At this point, Khun has returned from his bathroom break, Shibisu then states that he hopes to see Bam again after the next test, and returns over to his team.

Lero-Ro enters the waiting room, and states that he's happy to see that many have passed the test. The Regulars look in his direction as the Ranker informs them that he has good news. Lero-Ro informs them that due to a conversation with his top supervisor, he has been asked to provide the Regulars with a bonus game. Shibisu objects with a statement that they've been through a few too many tests already, which Lero-Ro reassures him that the bonus test is optional, and that there is no penalty for not participating. However, he informs the Regulars that the reward for winning this bonus game will have the ability to skip the final 2nd Floor tests, and go directly to the 3rd Floor.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_04.jpg
The Crown Game arena

This grabs the attention of many Regulars as Lero-Ro continues to explain that the winning team won't be required to finish the remaining tests. Seeing that he now has the attention of the Regulars, Lero-Ro states the name of the next test, the Crown Game, and that he will explain the details of said game when they get to the test's location.

Arriving at large circular location that's been designed for the game, Lero-Ro and Yellowy are seen stating in the middle of it next to a giant chair, which also has a tiny yellow crown placed on one of its arms. Each of the Regular teams are asked to wait on standby at closed off rooms surrounding the edge of the circle as Lero-Ro begins his explanation for the test. The most basic rule being that the test's purpose is to steal the crown, and that the team holding the crown at the end of the test are the ones who win the game. However, he points out that there are complicated rule as well. He points out that there are five rounds in a Crown Game, and that each round lasts about ten minutes. The first round will have five teams fighting for the crown, and the one holding the crown by the end of it is the team that moves on to the next round. The next rounds will then bring in four new teams to compete against the winner of the previous round, and will follow that format until the winning team is holding the crown by the end of the fifth round.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_05.jpg
Teams are shown the button to participate in the Crown Game

The Regulars, having heard the game's basic rules, are shown a giant red button in their closed off rooms. Lero-Ro explains that pressing the button will mean that a team has accepted to participate in the Crown Game, and that the first five teams who press it will be the five teams that play in the first round. Lero-Ro also mentions a rule that there's a way to finish the round early. He explains that if someone sits on the chair before five minutes pass, then the round will end automatically, and at the start of the next round, the winning team is forcedto have someone always sitting on the chair with the crown on their head. Opposing teams would then try to steal the crown for themselves, and the process would repeat for that team for the next round. However, Lero-ro also mentions that if the crown wearer steps off the throne, or loses the crown to someone else, they are eliminated from Crown Game.

Listening to the rules, Khun deduces that its a disadvantage to be one of the teams that plays the game early, which Lero-Ro answers to be correct. Lero-Ro explains that, because the advantage for the later rounds is obvious, it will mean that a lot of teams will be trying to hold out until then; making it a greater risk that you won't be able to participate. Picking up the crown, Lero-Ro reminds them that in the end, all that matters is to be holding the crown by the end of the fifth round, and asks the Regulars not to overthink the rules surrounding that fact.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_06.jpg
Lero-Ro announces the start of the Crown Game

Before beginning the test, Lero-Ro also informs the Regulars that there will be a new group joining them from another testing spot. Khun is left wondering what he's referring to, but Lero-Ro states that its too long a story to explain it. Putting the crown back on the throne, Lero-Ro informs the Regulars to look to the instruction book they've been provided in case they forgot the rules, and announces that the Crown Game has begun.

Waiting on standby, Lero-Ro announces that he will count down from five, and asks for teams to click the button in that time-frame. Bam's team decide not to press due to the first round being too risky. The Nare/Chunhwa team also choose not to press the button under the belief that holding out for another four rounds would make for a tough task. Shibisu chooses for his team to wait and see the results of the early rounds, and believes that they can claim victory if they hold to the fourth round. However, he is surprised to find that Hatz and Anaak have chosen to go. Despite not going to plan, Shibisu admits that it was to be expected from the two as the three of them enter the Crown Game arena.

Hatz and Anaak remain confident that they can destroy their opponents over the next 50 minutes as Shibisu asks for them to be less impulsive for once. The three of them look across the arena, and spot only one other team that chose to participate in the first round; Kancho's 3-man-team. Shibisu finds it surprising that there was another team as stupid as them to fight in the first round as the two teams prepare for a fight. Lero-Ro is heard stating that his countdown is over, and for the first round to now begin.

    The Crown Game's 1st Round

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_07.jpg
Two teams appear for Round One of the Crown Game

Anaak tells Hatz and Shibisu to leave this match to her, and steps toward Kancho's team. Kancho asks Anaak if she's insane taking them on three against one, but Anaak continues to walk towards them. Kancho's team start to get angry believing that Anaak isn't taking them seriously. However, Anaak pulls out her green sword, and asks if they truly want her to be serious. Despite Kancho thinking that Anaak is bluffing, one of his teammates, revealed to be named Kon, reaches a breaking point, and steps forward; pulling out his two swords to duel Anaak. Kon charges toward Anaak, but ends up taking Anaak's palm to the face. The attack sends Kon across the arena, and smashes into the wall; knocking Kon out in the process. Kancho, and his blonde teammate, beg for him to wake up, but receive no answer.

Pulling out a red spear, Kancho aims to strike at Anaak in retaliation. However, Anaak activates her green sword to slash at the ground before Kancho, which stops his movements. Khun, who had been paying attention to the battle, notices how Anaak's sword is a peculiar one; being shaped like a hook, and having the ability to change its length. Kancho's blonde teammate, who's the religious god worshipper, activates his Hohohhohohho form, and attempts to strike Anaak in the head.

Anaak takes on Kancho, Kon and Mr. Shopin, all by herself

However, he and Kancho are shocked to see that his attack had no effect. Anaak grabs the Hohohhohohho worshipper's hand, and, like Kon, throws him across the arena into a wall. Kancho then charges forward about to stab Anaak with his spear. However, Anaak grabs the end of his spear, and throws him into a wall as well. Anaak is now left alone, as the Regulars all around stare in amazement. Serena questions what she just witnessed as a hooded Regular watches in excitement.

The members of team Kancho try to get up to fight once more. However, Kancho admits that she's a powerful one. Kancho wipes the blood off his mouth, and steps before Anaak for anouther round. Khun, having just witnessed Anaak's incredible strength without relying on shinsu, starts to question if she is perhaps someone of note as Kancho prepares his spear once more. He sends a strike towards Anaak, who easily dodges out of the way. However, he starts running forward towards another location, the throne. Kancho yells for his teammates to charge as well as he, Kon, and the blonde teammate revealed to be named Mr. Shopin, all run towards the throne to grab the crown. Thinking it over, Kancho believes that they have won as their surprise run to grab the crown has placed them far ahead of the opposing team. However, they watch as Anaak jumps to their location, and lands on the throne.

Standing on the top of the throne, Anaak swings her green hook sword, and knocks all three of the Kancho team members back once more. She then grabs the crown, and places it on her head. Now sitting on the throne, Anaak realizes that she still has the opportunity to end the game right away as there was still over five minutes left in the first round. Khun and Rak look in amazement upon finding out that there's a monster Regular amongst their group that's stronger than all of them, and figure that they're in trouble.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_09.jpg
Anaak ends the first round by sitting on the throne with the crown

Khun deduces that if Shibisu takes over as the one sitting on the throne, then Anaak and Hatz could easily protect him, and the Crown Game would come to an end. Shibisu thinks of this plan as well, and asks for Anaak to have him take over for her. However, Anaak rejects, and states that she doesn't want to. This confuses Shibisu as he watches Anaak lazily sit on the char, and begins to berate the lizard girl for making herself a useless sitting duck on the chair despite her incredible strength. Lero-Ro announces that because Anaak sat on the chair with the crown before five minutes had passed, team Shibisu/Anaak/Hatz are declared the winners of Round One as the team with control of the crown for the start of Round Two.

Shibisu steps before Anaak and complains to her that she will be useless as someone that is forced to remain sitting on the throne. Shibisu explains that it would be better for the team if he sat in the chair with the crown while Anaak and Hatz defend him with their monster strength. He tries to force Anaak up himself. However, Anaak completely ignores him. Lero-Ro can be heard over the loudspeaker reminding the Regulars that the one who sits on the throne while wearing the crown can not move until the rounds are over. Shibisu asks if that means she's stuck on the chair all the way to the Fifth Round, which Lero-Ro answers to be correct. Shibisu then objects to the rule stating that there should at least be the ability to switch out teammates on the chair, but Lero-Ro informs him that the rules were all given in the instruction book. Shibisu is left shaking his head in disappointment knowing that he never got a chance to read the book.

Khun explains to Bam why Anaak's choice to sit on the throne was a mistake

Back to Bam's team, Khun sighs in relief knowing that they caught a break due to Anaak's poor decision to get stuck sitting on the throne. Bam asks if that's truly an advantage for them, which Khun answers that it keeps Anaak from moving around freely. However, Khun also warns him that Hatz and Shibisu look like strong opponents before they could even reach Anaak. Thinking back to the strength that Anaak displayed, Khun deduces that the green lizard was already at a much higher level than any of them. Knowing that she's powerful enough to possibly solo this game, Khun questions why she felt the need to limit her strength sitting on the throne.

Shibisu falls to his knees in utter defeat believing that his team has now failed the game due to Anaak's decision. However, Hatz steps before him, and asks what Shibisu is so worried about. He answers to Shibisu that their job is simply to defend the throne with his swordsmanship, and his martial arts, which confuses Shibisu to wonder why Hatz believes that he's good at fighting. Shibisu cries out in joy over the fact that Hatz believes in his teammate, which Hatz answers that its only natural for that to be the case. He asks for Shibisu to get ready as Lero-Ro announces that they will now begin the Second Round.

    The Crown Game's 2nd Round

Two teams head out to participate in Round Two

Lero-Ro begins the countdown for the next teams to press the participation button, but states that it will only be four possible teams due to the Shibisu/Anaak/Hatz team carrying over. Bam asks Khun if it's still not the correct time to go yet, which Khun answers to be correct. The timer ends, and it shows two teams having pressed the button; meaning that there will be three teams battling in the Second Round.

The Shibisu/Anaak/Hatz team stand ready as they watch their two new opposing teams appear for the Second Round. Hatz spots the FirstEmperor/LeoCloaker/Deod team appear before him, and Shibisu prepares himself as he sees the Lauroe/Serena/Hoh team appear in the arena. Shibisu calls out Serena for coming out to kill him despite their bonding moment at Lero-Ro's shinsu veil, but Serena answers that she never considered him to be her partner, and pulls out a knife ready to fight. Shibisu then questions where Lauroe went as Serena and Hoh turn around to see him curled up in his blanket. Serena tries to ignore the embarrassing scene claiming that they're saving him for the next round so that he doesn't waste his energy on weaklings. Khun admits to himself that he knows he's not that strong, but he gets confident knowing that he has the guts to fight until he dies, and prepares to fight.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_12.jpg
Hatz vs. Deod and Leo

The Second Round fighting begins as Hatz is greeted by Deod, who's also a fellow swordsman. Deod points out that due to the shinsu getting thicker higher up in the Tower, it becomes a challenge to use larger swords there. Pulling out his sword, Deod explains that this might be their last time to use swords such as the ones they're holding, and finds their duel to be an amazing situation. He apologizes to Hatz that he can't have a proper duel due to the rules of the Crown Game as he, and his teammate, Leo, charges the opposing swordsman. Hatz activates his high and low flying sword techniques to strike at his two enemies. However, his low technique gets parried by Leo, which allows for Deod to try to land a free strike on Hatz. The high sword technique arrives to block Deod's strike, and the power of Hatz's low technique is shown to have broke Leo's weapon. Deod goes in for yet another attack, but has Leo forced into him due to Hatz pushing back.

The FirstEmperor/LeoCloaker/Deod team take a moment to catch their breath as First Emperor finally steps in realizing that Hatz is a monster as well. Powering up his fist with fire, First Emperor orders for the three of them to attack Hatz at once.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_13.jpg
Shibisu vs. Serena and Ho

Meanwhile, Shibisu's fight with the Lauroe/Serena/Hoh has been going on. Shibisu continues to block each attack aimed his way from Serena and Hoh, and manages to land a punch to Serena's face. Holding her bloody nose, Serena complains to Shibisu how he can just so easily punch a woman, and reveals to him that she's not taking their fight seriously due to their previous endeavor together. Shibisu states that he doesn't care due to being on the team that's currently cornered, and calls out Serena for now trying to play nice after ignoring him at the start of the round. He then asks if Serena has perhaps developed a crush on him, which enrages her to the point of wanting to kill Shibisu.

Shibisu then taunts Serena once more as an old lady hoping that she will finally get provoked into making a mistake. Thinking over the situation, Shibisu deduces that his situation will become rough if he doesn't defeat Serena or Hoh before their teamwork gets the best of him. He also looks over to Lauroe, and worries about what the sleeping Regular is capable of. Shibisu finally looks over to Hatz's fight, and hopes that he will be able to eventually come over to help him.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_14.jpg
Hatz comes to Shibisu's aid against Serena and Ho

Serena is the next to give a taunt informing Shibisu not to kid himself for thinking that he's worthy enough to be teamed up with two beasts despite being just an ordinary guy. She then charges at Shibisu and begins to swing her knife towards him. Hoh then appears as well and manages to lock his arms from behind. Shibisu realizes that he's finally been cornered by their teamwork, and figures that this is the end of him. Shibisu cowers ready to accept their strike, but Serena's attack does not reach him, which leaves Shibisu bewildered.

Checking his surroundings, Shibisu realizes that Hatz has appeared to knock Serena's knife away. Serena questions how Hatz was fast enough to get to their location so quickly, and looks over to the FirstEmperor/LeoCloaker/Deod team that was fighting him. However, she sees all three of them lying on the ground, and have already been defeated. Serena questions how they could be defeated so easily, but Hatz just ends up ignoring it. Shibisu then grabs onto Hatz, and gives him a hug for saving his hide, which, despite telling Shibisu to get off him, asks about his next opponents here. Shibisu informs him of Lauroe, the Regular that has been fast asleep nearby. Hatz steps forward disappointed that his next opponent is a Regular choosing to sleep while his teammates are out risking their lives. He questions if Headon perhaps made a mistake allowing for such scum to be chosen into the Tower, and activates his high flying sword technique. The sword flies toward the sleeping Regular as Hatz points out that while he doesn't like being a killer, his one exception is toward people that he considers to be scum. Serena and Hoh watch Hatz's sword fly towards Lauroe as they have a flashback of the moment they chose to enter the Second Round.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_15.jpg
Lauroe informs Serena and Hoh that they should head out for the Second Round

The Lauroe/Serena/Hoh team are seen in their Crown Game waiting room as Lauroe states that it's now the time for them to go out. Serena questions Lauroe's logic about trying to fight through four rounds, and orders him to go back to sleep. However, Lauroe calls her stupid, and explains his reasoning that those trying to defend the crown would be at a disadvantage early on, but would start to change to the other side by the time of the Third Round. He claims that a team such as theirs is built to take advantage of this tactic, but Serena still refuses to see any advantage. Lauroe continues to educate her by reminding her of the crown stealing rule, and how once more teams start to appear in the later rounds, the ones attacking will be facing off against one another in order to keep opposing attacking teams from also stealing the crown. The point Lauroe is trying to make is that the attacking teams fighting each other to keep the other teams from stealing their crown will do the protecting for them. That no matter what, they will be safe until the opposing teams can no longer keep one another in check, which Serena finally understands. Now having his teammates attention, Lauroe asks them who it is that will be the safest in this scenario, which Hoh answers to be the one sitting in the chair. Serena finally admits to go along with it, but points out that it will be likely for all the teams to attack the chair to keep them from ending the round after five minutes. However, Lauroe informs them that as a shinsu user, he alone can do it as long as he's the one sitting on the chair with the crown. For their uncoming battle, he informs Hoh and Serena to stay away from Hatz, and let the swordsman fight whatever other team joins the Second Round. Instead, he tells them to pretend to fight Shibisu until the exact moment that will appear for them to steal the crown away.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_16.jpg
Lauroe fires a beam of shinsu toward Anaak

Back to the present, Lauroe wakes up, and gets in a sitting position. Shibisu and Hatz watch as Lauroe starts to wave his hand, and shinsu begins to gather at his palm. Hatz then turns to Anaak warning her to get away; claiming that Lauroe is a wave-controller. A beam of shinsu from Lauroe's hand is shot towards the throne as the surprised Anaak jumps to the top of the throne to dodge the attack. Hoh and Serena use the distraction as a chance to charge the chair, and attempt to strike. However, Anaak dodges them both as Shibisu and Hatz arrive to reinforce her. Shibisu engages with Hoh while Hatz takes on Serena, but watch as Anaak takes yet another shinsu beam from Lauroe.

Shibisu calls out to her hoping that she survived the attack as Lauroe warns her to hand over the crown. He claims to be able to attack her from anywhere, but watches as Anaak shakes off his shinsu attack, and ready to fight. Enraged, Anaak complains about having to deal with Lauroe, and that her actions up until now have been to bait out someone else. Pulling out her green weapon, Anaak yells for ignition, and claims that she will now kill everyone. Her hook weapon greatly extends, and drops down her now giant sword towards Lauroe's location. Bam, who had been watching the fight is seen gripping the Black March.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_17.jpg
Anaak shows off her ignited weapon's unlimited reach against Lauroe

Lauroe is shown to have dodged out of the way of Anaak's weapon as he tries to figure out the overall size and strength of it. Unable to come up with an answer, Lauroe realizes that he made a mistake not observing Anaak properly, and deduces that Anaak sitting in the chair wasn't an error. Watching over the game, Lero-Ro is left disappointed of the Regular known as Anaak Jahad. Lero-Ro states to himself that he would have liked to see a strength on the level of when he first met Yuri Jahad, but admits that Anaak's efforts so far have still proven her to be an absolute monster amongst the current Regulars. He then looks over at Anaak's green hook sword, and notes that the weapon might be a bit too dangerous for her.

Back to the Crown Game, Anaak shortens the green sword back to its original length, and taunts Lauroe with the exact words back at him that she can attack anywhere from the throne. She swings her weapon towards Lauroe once more, who is left stunned to witness the green sword split into several different attacks towards him. Lauroe goes about dodging each attack from Anaak's green sword as everyone else on the battlefield begins to dodge out of the way as well.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_18.jpg
Anaak realizes that Bam has the Black March in his possession

Khun, having witnessed the power of Anaak's green sword, finds the current situation to not be fair. He points out how Anaak is just a new Regular like the rest of them, and yet she has possession of a powerful ignition weapon. He questions how they're going to deal with such a monster, and begins to back down from joining the Crown Game. However, Bam next to him starts to scream, and asks what's wrong. Breathing for air, Bam answers that something about the Black March is acting weird. Anaak, still swinging her green sword around, spots Bam in his closed off Crown Game room struggling to hold on to a sword, which she realizes to be the Black March, and stops her attack.

The Crown Game arena is now calm again as Lauroe questions what's caught Anaak's attention away from the current battle. However, before he could figure it out, Lauroe is grabbed from behind by Serena as the Lauroe/Serena/Hoh team begin running for the edge of the arena back to their waiting room. Lauroe complains to Serena about why they're running away, to which Serena answers that it would be crazy for them to try to fight the monster green lizard. She also points out there's no point risking their lives here since it's just a bonus game, which causes Lauroe to ask her why she chooses to give up so quickly. Serena answers that being on the run has always been a part of her life due to never being anything great, and that with her experience, she knows that this is a fight to run away from.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_19.jpg
Anaak gives up the game to force Bam into handing over the Black March

The three of them reenter the waiting room they started at and are considered to have forfeited their fight in the Crown Game; no longer being able to participate. The Lauroe/Serena/Hoh team take the moment to rest as Serena checks the team for any possible injuries. Serena and Hoh claim themselves to be ok, but Lauroe shrivels back into a cocoon not wanting to speak. Serena looks at him in disappointment, and asks Lauroe to not be a baby.

Still struggling to hold the Black March, Khun asks him again if he's ok, which Bam answers that he's slowly getting better now. Shibisu calls out to Anaak to come down off the top of the throne now that everyone's run away from fighting her in the Second Round. However, she jumps off the throne, which shocks Shibisu and Hatz. Arriving at the Crown Game room housing the Bam/Khun/Rak team, Anaak destroys their door, and orders for Bam to hand over the Black March. Khun objects to the order reminding Anaak that its against the rules to bust into another team's Crown Game waiting room. However, he is ignored, and Anaak asks Bam where he got the Black March. Looking over at Bam, Khun is left wondering how Anaak knows about the Black March, as Bam asks why she asks about the Black March. Anaak answers that it's because Bam is someone who the weapon doesn't belong to as Shibisu appears before them.

Bam's Black March and Anaak's Green April

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_20.jpg
Shibisu complains to Anaak that their team lost the Crown Game because of her

Complaining about why Anaak left the throne, Shibisu explains that they lost the Crown Game because of her action just now. She orders Bam once more to hand the Black March over to her as Shibisu complains over the thought that Anaak gave up the game just to take someone's stupid weapon. However, Anaak grabs one of Shibisu's fingers and educates him that the Black March is part of the 13-month weapon series that was created by Ashul Edwaru. Crying over his now swollen finger, Shibisu is left confused since the information on his end is that the 13-month weapons were passed down to the Jahad Princesses, and asks how it got in the hands of an ordinary boy. Anaak answers that it's because she's a daughter of Jahad that she can tell that the sword is the Black March; leaving Shibisu stunned that one of his teammates turned out to be a Jahad Princess.

Looking at Anak, Shibisu begins to put together that he's always felt that there was something more to her, but would have never come to the conclusion that she was actually one of King Jahad's daughters. Bam puts together that she's someone in the exact same position as Yuri, which Anaak then states that her weapon is known as Green April; a tool from the same 13-month series as the Black March.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_21.jpg
Anaak's weapon, the Green April

Anaak asks if Bam felt the resonance when their two 13-month weapons came near one another, which Bam answers to be true. She then states once more that the Black March shouldn't be in the hands of someone other than a Jahad Daughter. Khun, having been listening to the conversation, puts together that Anaak was able to sense the Black Marsh through the Green April, but finds something to be odd. She asks Bam once more to hand her the Black March, but answers her that he can't; stating that he promised to return it to who he borrowed the weapon from, Princess Yuri. Getting on her nerves, Anaak activates the Green April once more, and prepares to attack the Bam/Khun/Rak team; stating that its something her mother once said that it's a common theme for people that don't know themselves to die young. She orders for Bam to die, but gets annoyed at the fact that her attack stopped. Looking over her shoulder, she sees that Lero-Ro has grabbed the Green April.

Lero-Ro berates Anaak as someone who has failed to know about oneself, and reveals that he had already known of her identity as a Jahad Princess. Having given up the Crown Game throne, Lero-Ro orders for her to return to her Crown Game room with Hatz and Shibisu, and states that he won't be having her misbehaving anymore. Shibisu begs for Anaak to not take this any further as Anaak finally chooses to drop it.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_22_0.jpg
Threatening to kill him, Anaak bets her Green April for Bam's Black March

Thinking back to her mom's words about being ignored if you come off weak, Anaak asks Lero-Ro for a rule change knowing that it can be done if the Test Administrator agrees. Showing an interest, Lero-Ro asks what she would like to see changed, which Anaak answers to be a blockbuster event with the Green April, and Black March, as the prizes. Giving off a smile, Lero-Ro agrees that it sounds like an interesting change.

Turning to Bam, Anaak orders him to play a game with her. Anaak explains that she will bet her Green April while Bam puts the Black March up for grabs, and that depending on which side loses, they hand the 13-month weapon over to them. The rule she gives is that in order to win Green April, the Bam/Khun/Rak team has to play from here on out to win the Crown Game, but if they lose at any point, he will have to hand Black March over to her. Bam objects stating that he has no reason to take part in such a game, but Anaak warns him that she will kill Bam in order to steal the Black March away from him no matter what. Anaak informs him that it would be smart to take the bet; being given a chance to move up to the 3rd Floor without having to deal with her anymore.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_23.jpg
Khun and Rak accept Anaak's challenge to win the Crown Game for Bam's sake

Thinking it over, Bam concludes that Anaak is probably the strongest Regular amongst the Regulars he's currently on the Floor of Tests with, and knows that there would be no way to keep away from her. Struggling to come up with an answer, Anaak deduces that Bam's wondering if his team can win through the last three rounds of the Crown Game, and states that she understands due to his teammates looking particularly weak. This strikes a nerve with Khun and Rak, which Bam admits that he doesn't want to see them hurt because of him. Bam continues to think the situation over, but this time around, its Khun that speaks; asking what Bam is doing.

Hearing Khun yell, he orders for Bam to take the bet. Bam is left surprised that Khun chose to go along with the game, but is informed that the plan was to finally join by the time of the Third Round anyway. He calls out Anaak for being an extra that doesn't know what's up, and states that it's time for the main characters to take over. Khun then asks Rak if he feels the same way, which Rak, giving out a mighty roar, agrees with. Rak yells out to the Regulars all around him that the game means nothing if he remains absent, and warns Anaak not to back off on the bet. Seeing that they've come to an agreement, Lero-Ro accepts the offer, and will add an additional rule to the game. That if Bam joins at the third round, and fights to come out the winner of the Crown Game, he will get Green April, and can't have the Black March stolen away from him. But if Bam loses at any point in the Crown Game, he will have to give up the Black March to Anaak.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_24.jpg
Anaak receives a greeting from one of the hooded Regulars

Lero-Ro reminds Anaak that her team will now be sitting having jumped off the throne, and states that the next round will start without a winning team. Walking back to the arena, Lero-Ro states to the Regulars that the game will now proceed once more. Returning to his spot looking down at the Crown Game arena, Lero-Ro states to himself that this will go down as one of the greatest matches ever recorded in history.

Walking back to their Crown Game room, Shibisu, Anaak and Hatz remain silent. They walk by a room with a three hooded Regular team, as Anaak spots a hooded girl trying to say something to her. The hooded Regular gives off a grin afterward, which pisses Anaak off to the point of preparing to use Green April again, but has her movements stalled when Hatz puts his sword up to Anaak's throat. Shibisu is left stunned at the development, which Hatz answers that Anaak has already done enough to harm their team. However, Anaak pushes Hatz's sword away stating that she doesn't see this as a team. The hooded Regular girl gives off another grin as she watches Shibisu from afar trying to get an answer out of Anaak regarding her actions. Within the Crown Game room of the hooded Regular, another cloaked Regular asks if she's having fun toying with the lizard girl. Giving off a yawn, the hooded girl stretches, and states to her two teammates that it's time to get ready.

Bam apologizes to Khun and Rak about getting them involved with his problem

Returning to team Bam/Khun/Rak's room. Bam apologizes to his teammates that he's put the two of them in danger due to something involving him, and that he's too useless to do anything useful. However, Khun reassures him not to worry, and that the very fact Bam is here is the reason Anaak got off the throne. He also states that Bam is an amazing person for choosing to keep Black March for himself rather than hand it over, but Bam answers that he was only able to do it because of the people around him that have supported him.

At this point, Bam remembers back to another time when Rachel was teaching him. Showing Bam a book she made from scratch that will teach him how to become cool, Rachel asks for him to never betray anyone no matter what, especially when it comes to girls. She states that the world's roof will fall on him if he makes such a mistake, which Bam agrees with in fear. He promises to Rachel that he won't betray anyone no matter what. Back in the present, Bam thinks about Yuri holding on to the Black March, and mentions to Khun these exact words that he learned about not betraying anyone. Khun thinks about words that were passed down to him as well, and remembers back to when his mother told him not to trust anyone. He calls out Bam for being too weak to do anything about holding on to the Black March, and points out to Rak how the alligator doesn't look that useful despite his huge body size. However, he still praises Bam for coming off as an amazing person to him.

    The Crown Game's 3rd Round

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_26.jpg
Bam, Khun and Rak enter Round Three along with three other teams

Seeing Bam confused, Khun explains that despite Bam having no skills or strength to rely on, he's still willing to try to protect those that he trusts. He reveals to Khun that that's a characteristic he can never pull off. Moments after, Lero-Ro begins the announcement for Regulars to start the Third Round.

Lero-Ro asks for teams to begin pressing the buzzer before his countdown ends as Khun asks if they should go now to conquer the king's chair. The Bam/Khun/Rak team head out, and finally enter the arena of the Crown Game, seeing their Third Round opponents before them. Amongst the four teams including Bam's, the first team consists of Rozeal/Chichi/HyunSeung, the second team consists of Levin/Catan/Palgyon, and the third team consists of Aleksai/Chungchung/Leon3. Lero-Ro than announces for the Third Round of the Crown Game to begin.

Looking around, Rozeal points out how a lot of people have chosen to take advantage of the fact that the green lizard forced herself out of the game. She also notes that due to the game being back to square one, it's become a speed game amongst the current teams to get someone to sit on the chair first. Pulling out a wand-like weapon, Rozeal confidently states to herself that using it to control shinsu will allow for her to bring the crown to her, and win the match easily.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_27.jpg
Khun arrives at the throne before the other three teams

Levin also looks around, and comes to a similar realization that this round will be determined through speed due to the game reset. He looks over to his teammate, Catan, and notes how due to the nature of the Regular's body being able to elongate, he can reach the location of the crown faster than anyone, and that all Levin has to do is provide cover while Catan does his work.

Over at Aleksai's team, his tiny squirrel teammate, Chungchung, points out that a bunch of losers have come forward, and, like the other teams, comes to the conclusion that this round has become a speed game due to the reset. Chungchung notes that because he's small and light, he can fly at greet speed through the shinsu of the Tower.

At this point, Rozeal, Catan and Chungchung all make the mentioned moves in order to take the crown. However, they all stop instantly as they notice that Khun has already dashed to the throne, and is now seen standing next to it. Khun states to the Regulars that this feeling of being on a throne makes him feel better as the Regulars all around him question how he was able to get to the throne so quickly. Khun then picks up the crown, and taunts the other teams that he can end the round if he sits on the throne wearing it, but informs them that he won't do that, as that would make the match boring. Preparing his knife, Khun taunts the three other opposing teams, and states to them that he will will hand the crown over if they manage to beat him. Rak and Bam watch Khun work from afar as the two try to figure out what his overall goal is.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_28.jpg
Watching Round Three, Shibisu confirms that Khun is a genius amongst them

Shibisu, who's also been paying attention to the game, points out that Khun is playing this round smart. He notes that even though Khun has the opportunity to end the round instantly if he chooses to sit in the throne with the crown, he would end up putting the team at a disadvantage making their weakest member, Bam, fight as one of the throne defenders to keep Khun safe. He deduces that what Khun is going for is to hold out until Bam catches up to him at the throne, and to be the one that sits on the chair instead. However, Shibisu questions if the Bam/Khun/Rak team has the strength to hold off the opposing three teams, and if they can overcome having someone as weak as Bam on their tema. He turns around to ask what Anaak and Hatz think about the current match, but notices that they aren't choosing to talk to one another.

Khun's taunt is shown to have enraged Levin as he remembers back to when Rak got on his nerve as well during the survival test. He begins to fire his rifle in Khun's direction, and asks how he could be someone that shows no respect. Khun blocks the shots with his bag, but he decides to change his mind, and throws the crown before the three teams. Confused at the sight, Khun explains that he expects for the three teams to fight amongst each other for the crown, and takes his seat on the throne. He then states that when they're done fighting, he will take on the one who approaches him to sit on the throne with the crown.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_29.jpg
Levin, Rozeal, Chungchung and company, team up against Khun

Khun's actions are shown to have pissed off the Regulars of the opposing teams as Bam and Rak watch in amazement at how much of a cocky persona their teammate turned out to have. The Regulars of the three enemy teams all remain still staring at the crown on the floor, but Levin, Rozeal and Chungchung are refusing to step forward knowing that this situation is not a good one for them if they start fighting against each other. Showing their anger, they also have something else in mind; kill the white-haired Regular that has ben toying with them.

Levin is the first to call out to the other teams demanding a temporary truce to kill Khun, which Rozeal agrees with, as well as the other remaining Regulars outside the Bam/Khun/Rak team. Khun mentions to them that he was betting on the fat pig, but is ordered to shut up by the opposing Regulars. They claim to Khun that they're all going to beat him to a pulp as Khun states in disappointment that it would have been more fun to watch the other teams fight it out. Pulling out his knife, Khun states to the opposing Regulars that they aren't playing the game well, as Rak readies himself as well. The Regulars are all shown preparing to fight against Khun. However, Chungchung reveals to have other plans; stating to himself that its idiotic for there to be peace here. He hears Khun call out to them about why they haven't attacked him yet, and watches as the Regulars all charge at him. Chungchung instead turns his attention to the crown, and deduces that his next course of action should be to go for it while everyone else is busy fighting Khun.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_30.jpg
Rak vs. Hyon and Khun vs. Palgyon

Palgyon and Hyun are seen attempting to strike at the Bam/Khun/Rak team. However, Khun dodges out of the way of Palgyon's attack, while Rak parries Hyon's. Palgyon attacks to strike at Khun once more, but has his attack blocked by the bag that Khun's been carrying around. Khun tries to escape from Palgyon's assault, but is greeted by Catan, who attempts to eat him. However, Khun manages to open his bag, which he seems to refer to as Manbarondena, and Catan ends up getting sucked into it. The Regulars are all left stunned at Catan disappearing as Nare and Chunhwa can be seen watching the round from their waiting room. Chunhwa questions if the bag is some type of monster while Nare drools over the thought that the bag looked expensive.

The fight continues as Bam watches Rak and Khun continue their duels against Hyun and Palgyon respectively. Bam dodges out of the way of a marble bullet fired from Chichi's pistol, who then ends up getting smashed in the face by Khun's Manbarondena bag. Khun asks for Chichi to go play at home with his marbles and blocks several of Chichi's bullets with the Manbarondena. He is then attacked by Leon, which Khun manages to block once more with the Manbarondena. However, Khun notes that Leon's bat-like weapon has a considerable amount of power, and could prove to be a bit dangerous.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_31.jpg
Black March defends Bam from Levin, Rozeal and Leon's attacks

Rak, who's also been fighting, manages to block a punch from Aleksai with his spear, but is forcibly pushed into the back of Khun. Having their movements blocked by Aleksai and Leon, Hyun and Palgyon charge in as well to strike at Khun and Rak. However, Khun orders for Rak to run as the latter chooses to do so, and Khun manages to duck under Leon's bat; hitting the unsuspecting Aleksai that was behind Khun by mistake. Rak then knocks Hyun back, and Khun blocks the next strike from Palgyon. Beginning to pull out a knife, Palgyon questions how Khun will reach him with such a tiny weapon, but ends up confused when he realizes that he's been stabbed by a long sword instead.

Hyun, Palgyon, and Aleksai are forced to stop fighting due to their injuries as Rozeal, Levin and Leon attempt a counterattack by going for the weakest member first, Bam. However, Bam unintentionally manages to stop all three of their attacks thanks to intervention from the Black March that blocks Rozeal shinsu, Levin's bullet and Leon's bat, all at once. Khun and Rak then come to his aid as Khun knocks Leon back with the Manbarondena, and Rak throws his spear to destroy Levin's rifle. Rak then orders for the surrounding Regulars to not touch his prey as Khun stands by listening to Rak yell. Shibisu, still paying close attention to the match, is surprised at the strength displayed by the Bam/Khun/Rak team, and begins to believe that they may make it to the final round.

Khun revealing to Chungchung that the latter's crown was a fake

Chungchung, who had been standing by watching the fights, is annoyed to admit that the Bam/Khun/Rak are strong enough to defeat their three teams all at once despite the team-up. He then turns toward the location of the crown believing that he's got no other option left, and picks up the crown. Chungchung, calling everyone hidings for fight each other, starts running for the throne with the crown at hand believing that the Bam/Khun/Rak team is distracted by their victory. However, he spots Khun grabbing something in his Manbarondena bag, and is left shocked to see him pull out a second crown.

Looking up at Khun, Chungchung is left in confusion at the sight of the second crown, and watches as Khun's knife, long sword, and the crown that Chungchung's been holding, evaporate into thin air. Chungchung questions what's going on as Khun opens the Manbarondena, and dumps many knives before the little squirrel Regular. Khun reveals that the power of his Manbarondena bag is the ability to duplicate any item with it, which pisses Chungchung off having realized that he had been dooped by Khun.

Shibisu is left surprised as well seeing that Khun's bag can duplicate objects, and is able to understand that Khun threw a fake in front of the other Regulars, while keeping the real one hidden in the Manbarondena. He deduces that Khun's goal by throwing them the fake crown was to provoke the opposing teams into attacking him, and to stir the attention away from their weakest teammate, Bam. Shibisu concludes that the Regular known as Khun is a frightening one.

    The Crown Game's 4th Round

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_33.jpg
Bam sits on the throne to end the third round

Placing the crown on Bam's head, the Third Round comes to an end as Bam sits on the throne. Khun and Rak remain on standby as his protectors awaiting their next opponents for the Fourth Round. Lero-Ro does the countdown as usual as Rak notes that three teams have buzzed in. Rak yells to his opponents that he will hunt everyone, but is told by Khun to take it easy here, and to save his energy for the Fifth Round, which will have all the strongest opponents waiting for them. Rak questions what Khun is referring to, which he answers that he will see.

The three opposing teams for Round Four enter the arena; shown to be the InoaYoran/Hoshi/Pichuru, the Blarouse/KukakuRakukakuka/Grey, and the RedHair/Le-Ara/Ucha teams. Iona looks around surprised that two other teams apart from his chose to appear this round, and notes that he's never seen the weird looking Blarouse/KukakuRakukakuka/Grey team up to this point, but are probably the team that arrived from the second test area. Iona concludes that the teams here have all understood the game at this point that the team with the crown has the advantage in the first five minutes of the round, and figures that there's no reason to fight amongst the other teams until they oust the current crown holder.

Khun's ally team dealing with the two other enemy teams for Round Four

Calling out to the other two teams, Inoa asks for a truce to hold out on fighting each other until they've taken out the defending Bam/Khun/Rak team. The RedHair/Le-Ara/Ucha team are shown to agree to the truce, but are interrupted when Ucha takes an unsuspected hit to the head from Blarouse, Red Hair get getting by Kukaku, and Grey saying something to Le-Ara that forces the Regular to its knees. Inoa is left yelling in confusion why they aren't following along.

Rak prepares himself to fight, but is told by Khun not to do so. Rak questions what Khun is referring to, and is answered that they have an ally this round to do the work for them. Rak is left confused at the statement, which Khun explains for the alligator to remember back to the survival test that was established to reduce the Regulars numbers down from 400 to 200.

Khun explains that he figured he could do something else for said test, because 200 Regulars were going to die off even if he didn't join the slaughter, and attempting to fight would only make enemies. He states to Rak that his goal during that test was to form as many alliances as he could. Beginning to understand Khun's plan, Rak concludes that he was able to do it with the Manbarondena bag, which Khun answers to be correct.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_35.jpg
Khun informing Kukaku, Blarouse and Grey, of the signal for when he calls for aid

He continues his explanation that he searched throughout the test for Regulars that could prove useful for Khun in the future, and that he formed a contract with several Regulars where Khun offered to hide people in his bag, and in return, they would help Khun out with a later test. He also states that while the team-making portion at the end of the test was unexpected for him, he was lucky enough to be near Bam and Rak to complete it on his own, and had already stored three Regulars, the exact amount to pass the test, within his bag, to allow for them to pass the test as well.

Khun also notes that while he was able to hide the Regulars through the first couple tests, Yu Hansung had caught on to the fact that Khun was hiding the Blarouse/KukakuRakukakuka/Grey team, and, despite the Test Administrator letting Khun go, knew that he couldn't keep them in hiding anymore. Khun reveals that the bathroom break before the start of the Crown Game was the point that he let the three Regulars out, and told them of the sign that will signal when he calls for aid from Blarouse, Kukaku and Grey. The signal being that Khun will pull off the blue cloth in his hair, and change his current hairstyle. Looking down in disappointment, Khun states to Rak that he would have liked to use this card on a test that wasn't a bonus game that they have little chance of winning. However, thinking back to the words that Bam told him about not wanting to betray anyone, Khun states that this is a game that he wants to win, and go up the tower with Bam and Rak.

    The Crown Game's 5th Round

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_36.jpg
The dreaded 3-person-team from Quant's test area joins Round Five

The InoaYoran/Hoshi/Pichuru team are eventually defeated as the Blarouse/KukakuRakukakuka/Grey team are seen walking back to their waiting room, and forfeit the match. Lero-Ro is heard over the speaker saying that there's no longer any teams able to fight, and announces that the Bam/Khun/Rak team are the winners of the fourth round. Looking at the three of them enjoying their easy victory, Shibisu asks Anaak what will happen if they manage to make it through the final round. Lero-Ro is heard annoucing that there is now only one round left of the Crown Game, and asks for the remaining teams to press the buzzer. The powerful Regular team that killed everyone in Quant's survival test are shown pressing the buzzer, and begin their walk out to the arena.

Looking at his opponents, Khun notes how for once, it's actually a full group due to being the last round. Standing before the Bam/Khun/Rak team are four opposing teams: the Mask/YungChangsoo/Goon team, the unknown team that passed Quant's survival area, the Dahdi/RedBull/GreenPhil team, and the Baunian/Azadni/BlakStatil team. Spotting the unknown team, Khun deduces that they're the three Regulars that destroyed Quant's test area, and concludes that all the Regulars who've appeared before their team look average at best. He leaves off hoping that it would be nice if they all ended up fighting each other, but knows that it's not very likely.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_37.jpg
Mask defeats two of the five teams right off the bat

With a gold staff at the ready, the Mask Regular charges forward at both the Dahdi/RedBull/GreenPhil and Baunian/Azadni/BlakStatil teams, and defeats each of the six Regulars single-handedly with a single strike. Bam, Khun and Rak watch in shock as they see Mask standing amongst two teams that have already been knocked out. The hooded female Regular form the unknown team grins in acknowledgement at Mask's display of strength, and Khun is left to admit that there's people other than average here.

Readying the gold staff once more, Mask charges at the throne to defeat the Bam/Khun/Rak team. Rak moves in to intercept Mask, but watches as the Regular throws the gold staff into the air, and jumps onto it to dodge Raks attack. Mask then continuously throws the staff through the air, and jumps to it each time; creating a path for Mask to land on the throne in front of Bam. Khun, trying to fall back to the throne, calls out to Bam to escape, but is greeted by one of Mask's teammates, Yung, who reminds Khun that there's still Mask's teammates he's got to deal with. Khun blocks Yung's attack with his Manbarondena bag, and realizes that he's been stalled to reach Bam. Rak meanwhile, has been blocked off by Goon, the second member of Mask's team.

At the throne, Bam is asked by Mask to put the crown down, which Bam refuses; claiming that he will protect it to the end of the match. Mask raises the gold staff ready to strike Bam down as the Regulars all around watch the situation unfold. Bam stands prepared to try to block the attack with Black March, but are interrupted when the hooded girl Regular from the unknown team intercepts Mask's golden staff for him. Mask is forced to retreat back seeing the mysterious Regular now standing in the way as she taunts Mask for wearing such an embarassing suit.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_38.jpg
Bam is greeted by a hooded Regular who sounds like Rachel

Khun calls out to Bam to be careful; warning him that the unknown Regular team are their enemies as well. However, another of the hooded Regulars appears next to Bam claiming that they won't be taking the crown away. Bam looks over at the hooded Regular in shock realizing that he recognizes the voice to be Rachel. The Regular remains silent as Bam continues to look at the hooded figure hoping that it's her.

The other girl Regular from the unknown team continues to stand before Mask, and asks if Mask is staring at her so much because of her beauty. Mask throws the golden staff towards the girl standing before her, but has the attack blocked easily. The girl then throws tiny red needles at Mask to trap her movements, and then instantly appears behind Mask to try for a close-ranged attack. Mask turns around, and attempts a high kick, but the girl Regular dodges, and gets up in Mask's face asking if the view of her beauty is close enough. Mask retreats once more, and prepares the gold staff to fight the unknown girl Regular once more.

At the throne, Bam is shown to be confused as to why the hooded Regular hasn't answered his Rachel name call. He attempts to call for Rachel again, but is interrupted by the appearance of the unknown team's third teammate, who's an absolute giant of a Regular. Meanwhile, Rak and Khun continue their respective duels against Goon and Yung as Rak asks if the unknown team of Regulars helping Bam are another of Khun's allies. However, Khun answers that he's never met them due to being the team that came over from Quant's test spot. Rak then asks why they're helping them then, which Khun wishes to know as well. However, he informs Rak that the one thing he knows for sure is that they come off as a team that's not interested in the crown.

The Regular from the hooded team who fights with red needles

Confused about the recent events, Shibisu complains why there's a team in the Crown Game not wanting to steal the crown, and questions why they even bothered to enter. Anaak, who thought for sure that the unknown team was going to win this easy, begins to get annoyed as well. Knowing that they know nothing about the 13-month series bet between her and Bam, Anaak questions what the unknown team is up to.

Mask stands ready to fight the unknown girl once more. The girl Regular, pulling out another needle to fight Mask, points out to her opponent that her needles are something that Mask won't be able to get through. The two charge each other, and begin to engage in close combat. Mask gets a kick in on the girl's face as well, which causes her to complain, and get enraged about the fight.

Khun and Rak are seen having defeated their opponents, Goon and Yung, who have both been knocked out of commission. Trying to make sense of the situation, Khun is left questioning why the unknown team is helping them. However, knowing that Mask is their only true opponent left, Khun goes about claiming that this game is now theirs. Looking down at Goon and Yung, Khun concludes that the two weren't that strong, and wonders if Mask was carrying the team. Khun then looks over at the two clocked unknown Regulars near the throne with Bam, and wonders what their purpose is.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_40.jpg
The giant of the hooded team

Bam is seen looking at the giant Regular wondering how he might be connected to Rachel. He figures that the two don't seem to go together, but is still not completely sure that the smaller hooded Regular is actually Rachel. Bam states to himself that he would check if it wasn't for the fact that he had to stay on the throne for the game. However, he realizes that if he wins the Crown Game, he would be forced up to the 3rd Floor with Rak and Khun, and wouldn't be able to find out. Bam questions if he should give up on the Crown Game if it means that he has already found Rachel.

The spotlight returns to the fight between the unknown girl Regular, and Mask, who continues to deflect every red needle thrown by her. The girl Regular admits that Mask has good defense, and charges forward in the hopes that she can get back at Mask for hitting her in the face earlier. However, she ends up stumbling due to her high-heel shoes as Mask attempts to take advantage of the mistake, and goes in for another kick. However, the attack is revealed to be a feint, and chooses instead to jump off the golden staff over to the location where the hooded figure, believed to be Rachel, is at. Bam is forced to sit by on the throne, and watch as Mask swings the golden staff at the cloaked Regular's face. The staff is shown to have hit across the person's forehead, and the hood of the cloak falls of the Regular's head, showing the face of Rachel to Bam. Realizing that he's found her, Khun and Rak call out to Bam not to do it as the latter jumps off the throne; aiming to stop Mask from hitting Rachel again.

Bam takes the blow to protect Rachel from Mask

Bam jumps in front of Rachel, and takes the full hit from Mask's golden staff to the head. Mask aims to strike again as Khun and Rak try to get to his location to help him. Losing consciousness due to the blow to the head, Bam apologizes that he was unable to follow through with winning the Crown Game, and starts to see images of Rachel being taken away from him by an unknown enemy. He uses his last bit of energy confirming to himself that he needs to protect Rachel, and is able to perform one last attack before falling unconscious. The mask of the Regular that attacked them is shown to have broken in half as the Regulars all around are left stunned at what just transpired. Lero-Ro is also left in a shocked state trying to figure out what it was that Bam just did.

Elsewhere in the Tower, Yuri and Evan are seen talking with two Rankers from the Tower organization known as Wolhaiksong, Khun Hachuling and Kurdan. Yuri asks them why it's so complicated to travel the correct path to reach the Floor of Tests, and wishes to have brought a light-bearer user to help guide them. Seeing the amount of people that have gathered to get the Black March back, Evan points out that trying to break into the 2nd Floor could cause an all-out war against Evankhell.

Yuri and Wolhaiksong's 2nd Floor Expedition

Kurdan answers back that the reason he's here is because he thought that going to war with Evankhell was the goal from the beginning, but Evan answers that Evankhell is a being too powerful for them to go up against. Seeing Kurdan looking down on him due to his short height, Evan asks to stop looking down on him, or else he will have to kill him.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc05_42.jpg
Yuri Jahad meets with Rankers of Wolhaiksong to sneak into the 2nd Floor

Yuri is then greeted by two more members of Wolhaiksong, Ice Strawberry and her partner. Ice Strawberry informs Yuri of the correct road to the Floor of Tests. However, she also warns Yuri of the eels that have nested along the path, and tries to convince her to take a different path. Yuri reassures her that it wouldn't take long to just kill off all the eels, but Kurdan warns her that the eels living there is a sign of high shinsu concentration, which will greatly limit their ability to move along the path to the Floor of Tests.

Yuri questions Kurdan how he can be someone that complains about limitations, which Kurdan defends himself stating that he's one of the strongest Rankers in the Tower that understands not being able to travel through areas with high shinsu concentration. He informs her that if there is someone out there who can actually move through high levels of shinsu concentration, then he will gladly give up his badge that proves he's one of the strongest. Hachuling, who had been listening to the conversation, finally speaks stating to Kurdan that it's useless trying to explain the high shinsu concentration to her, as Yuri won't be able to understand it anyway. He explains that because Yuri is someone that has unnaturally high resistance to shinsu, she never had the opportunity to learn about one's limitation towards the substance. He also comments that he and Evan were in the same boat as her.

Knowing that everyone is against her, Yuri chooses to take the other road that was offered that didn't have the high shinsu concentration. However, Yuri also states to Kurdan that the moment they reach Evankhell's Floor of Tests, he will have to hand over his badge to someone she knows. Yuri is seen giving off a grin as Kurdan calls out to her in confusion. Knowing that Yuri was referring to Bam, Evan states that the boy may not be as good as he seems, but may in fact be extremely dangerous.
