29F - Bet

    Season 2: Ch. 52 (Chapter 131)

After the Hand of Arlene structure exploded, Viole, Nobic, and Ran are shown being transported away within a rock golem that FUG established as an escape vehicle once they've captured Viole. The three of them are greeted by Sia and Cassano. The later of which is holding Horyang's body, who's not actually dead, but just unconscious. Sia's surprised to see that Nobic and Ran somehow ended up within the escape golem, which she informs them that FUG destroying the Hand of Arlene was just the beginning to establish the legend of their great Slayer-Candidate that will be a symbol of fear and worship in the Tower. She also adds that they will be making a new E-rank FUG team to build on the legend by destroying their opponents in the upcoming Workshop Battle.

Not wanting to be part of FUG's scheme, Nobic and Ran prepare to duel Sia and Cassano, but Viole steps in before the fight could start. He blocks them off from one another using a Hayeol barrier ability that he copied from Nobic, and then orders Sia to make the two of them part of FUG's team. Without FUG noticing, Viole sends a message to Ran's Pocket to hint that he's not their enemy, and that Khun no doubt survived the explosion. As a result, Ran and Nobic agree to become part of the team, which Sia's forced to go along with it.

Meanwhile, Team Sweet-and-Sour searches through the Hand of Arlene rubble hoping that they will find any signs of Viole and Horyang. Ehwa's able to track Viole's Pocket deep in the rubble, which Wangnan uses one of his shinsu bombs to blow away the rocks. However, instead of finding their missing teammates near Viole's Pocket, they uncover an unconscious Khun that managed to survive Sia's bomb.

    Season 2: Ch. 53 (Chapter 132)

Khun rests in a hospital after being found by Team Sweet-and-Sour. During his sleep, he tries to put together how everything he's witnessed up to this point is connected, and can't help but think that it somehow all points to Bam still being alive. He suddenly wakes up to see Wangnan and Ehwa trying to take care of him. Springing into action, Khun threatens Wangnan wanting to know why they're helping him, which Wangnan answers that it's because his team needs answers. As a result, Khun's introduced to the other remaining members of Sweet-and-Sour, Miseng, Goseng, Prince, and Akraptor, which Khun thinks over how off it is that Viole, FUG's dreaded Slayer-Candidate, would have such an ordinary team.

Wangnan explains that they're trying to figure out what happened to Viole and Horyang at the Hand of Arlene, but Khun answers that even he doesn't know yet. Next, Wangnan hands over Viole's Pocket that was found near him in the rubble, which Khun takes note of seeing that it's a high-end grade-A Pocket that Regulars don't normally have. Taking the Pocket, Khun gets ready to leave to return to his base on the 29th Floor, but Team Sweet-and-Sour ask to tag along since they believe that Khun's situation is somehow connected to them. Hearing that Sweet-and-Sour completed the 28th Floor test to go to the next Floor, Khun agrees to take them along.

Shortly after, Khun and Team Sweet-and-Sour arrive at the 29th Floor bunker that Team Khun was using as their home base. Akraptor speaks privately with Khun knowing the latter's true identity as Khun Aguero Agnis, and that he must be viewed as an enemy that would fight Viole. However, Khun assures Akraptor that he saw Viole and the others survive the Hand of Arlene exploding. They all then go inside the bunker to locate the remaining members of Khun's team, but come across the room with Gyetang's corpse, the injured Dan, and "F.U.G." written on the wall. Sweet-and-Sour pick up Dan to take him to a hospital, but Khun notices that said teammate's legs have been brutally damaged.

Some time later, Dan rests in a hospital as Khun informs Team Sweet-and-Sour of his teammate's severe leg injury. Khun reassures the group that he knows that despite it being FUG's doing, Viole wasn't the cause of Team Khun falling apart, but was actually done by a girl named Rachel. Khun then asks that he have a brief moment alone to organize his thoughts. He uses the moment alone to inspect Viole's grade-A Pocket, and comes to the conclusion that it's the same high-end Pocket that Princess Yuri gave Bam on Headon's 1st Floor. He's finally able to connect the dots that everything he's witnessed is because of the existence of an Irregular, which Bam turned out to be, but he still isn't fully convinced that Viole is Bam. It's at this point that Khun is greeted by the Guide, Hwaryun, who tells him outright that Viole is indeed the Irregular known as 25th Bam.

Meanwhile, Shibisu's Workshop ready team is seen in their home watching a newscast regarding the Hand of Arlene incident being the start of the legacy for FUG's Slayer-Candidate, Viole. This team being Shibisu, Endorsi, Anaak, Hatz, Lauroe, Aleksai, and two other new recruits that look like a bee-person and a little girl. At another Tower location, Rak is greeted by Paracule, who informs the alligator of Khun's apparent death. However, Rak refuses to believe it as the two of them head off to search for Khun.

    Season 2: Ch. 54 (Chapter 133)

Within a FUG facility, Horyang, Nobic, and Ran end up getting locked up given that they're not actual members of FUG, which they're forced to wait until Viole's new team is established. Horyang wakes up healed from his injury, and then confronts Cassano over the betrayal. However, Cassano convinces Horyang to join FUG's team so that they can reunite with Sophia at the Workshop Battle. Meanwhile, Nobic and Ran spot Sia walking by with two cloaked FUG newcomers that are going to be joining their Workshop FUG team.

Back to Khun, he remains shocked to see Hwaryun before him having believed that she failed to pass the Floor of Tests. In return, Hwaryun explains that as a Guide, she can go anywhere in the Tower, and reveals to Khun that she had been working for FUG long before they met on the Floor of Tests. She reveals that FUG knew about Bam being an Irregular, and that they gave Hwaryun the task to join the Floor of Tests so that Bam would be brought FUG, and turned into their Slayer Candidate, Viole. The revelation stuns Khun, and along with trying to attack Hwaryun, he orders her to give Bam back, but the Guide reveals that what happened at the Hand of Arlene wasn't part of her plan.

Hwaryun explains to Khun that there's a split in FUG currently regarding if Viole should move about freely, or to be controlled. Her side (led by Jinsung) was to allow Viole to move freely, but there are also power hungry higher-ups within FUG that wish to control him, and laid the trap at the Hand of Arlene in order to provide Viole a new team that would have control over their Slayer-Candidate. She asks for Khun to win the Workshop Battle with Team Sweet-and-Sour so that Viole can return to moving around freely, but Khun rejects it knowing that in the end, Bam will still be stuck within FUG. However, Hwaryun points out that he's in no position to help Bam now that his team's fallen apart, and asks if Khun's choosing to run away. Before Khun could think it over, Wangnan appears before the two in order to inform Khun that Dan's awake.

Shortly after, Khun sits alongside Dan in the hospital room informing his speedster teammate that he won't be able to run as fast as he used to. However, Dan doesn't blame Khun for what happened. Dan explains how he's always regretted running away from the team he lost before joining Khun's, and that he had chosen to stick by Khun as an apology. He also states to Khun that he wants to join in on the Workshop Battle to show Rachel, who kept him alive to see if he could climb with injured legs, that he hasn't given up just yet. Seeing Dan's strong will convinces Khun to go along with Hwaryun's task.

Hwaryun and Team Sweet-and-Sour are seen in the hospital waiting outside Dan's room. Khun then pops out of said room claiming that he will go along with leading Sweet-and-Sour to Workshop. He explains to Team Sweet-and-Sour that despite Wangnan and company having lost their two strongest members, he will come up with a strategy that will win them the Workshop Battle. Khun reassures them that them taking part in Workshop is just to see the friends they lost, which Wangnan agrees with, and accepts Khun as part of the team.

Meanwhile at FUG's facility, Viole is introduced to his two new teammates. One is a masked Fisherman named Reflejo, but the second is still unknown. Reflejo had provided Viole a weapon called the "Thorn," which the Slayer-Candidate tests on a wall, and makes a giant crack.

    Season 2: Ch. 55 (Chapter 134)

After testing out the new power he was given, Viole remains silent, and starts to walk away. Reflejo apologizes for going to such great lengths to force Viole into their team, but Viole answers that it's his own fault for allowing this to happen. Viole then states to his FUG teammates that they should prepare for the 29th Floor test, and returns to walking away.

A month passes as Khun had used the time to train Team Sweet-and-Sour for their upcoming 29th Floor test. Given that it's Khun, they're put through intense training, much to the despair of Sweet-and-Sour. After completing the final day of training, Khun asks that they use the final night before the test to rest. Meanwhile, Dan is also up and about, which Wangnan stops by to check on him. Dan informs Wangnan that the former needs to start walking again to help with the healing process while Wangnan admits that the team is scared as this will be Team Sweet-and-Sour's first test without Viole and Horyang.

Throughout the night, Sweet-and-Sour go against Khun's order, and use it to get in some last minute training. Goseng tries to come up with more strategies, Prince helps Miseng train given that the latter doesn't want to lose Viole and Horyang like she lost her parents, and Ehwa tries to control her flames now that Viole is no longer around to control her. Khun is left annoyed that the team refused to rest, and orders them once more to go to bed to get as much sleep as they can before the test. Dan figures that Khun needs rest as well, but the latter informs the former that he can't since he's never been more nervous trying to climb the Tower with a team that's such a disaster. Khun even mentions that he's starting to understand why FUG wasn't comfortable seeing their Slayer-Candidate with such an awful team while also being confused as to how Bam was able to put up with Team Sweet-and-Sour.

At this point, the invitations for the Workshop Battle are sent out. Viole's FUG Team receive their invites after breezing through the 29th Floor test due to their overwhelming power. Shibisu's team is also seen getting their invites, and the Rak and Paracule team are implied to have received one as well. Before taking their 29th Floor test, Khun receives on his Lighthouse the invitation for the Workshop Battle, which includes invites for his Sweet-and-Sour teammates as well. He figures that it's about time for them to get moving.

Long Summary

    Viole's Return to FUG

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_01.jpg
FUG's rock golem escapes the Hand of Arlene with Viole, Nobic, and Ran inside

The rock golem that protected Viole and company from the explosion at the Hand of Arlene continues to float away from the area with all of them still inside it. Viole remains kneeling on the ground in anger and frustration over what had just transpired as Nobic and Ran begin to wake up.

Giving off a sigh of relief, Nobic is glad that, at the very least, the two of them managed to survive the explosion. Looking around, Nobic notes how FUG had constructed a floating rock golem using soil dolls, and deduces that it was planned from the beginning that the Hand of Arlene was going to be blown up. Nobic turns to Ran to see if he's ok, which Ran answers that he is. Nobic is then left wondering if Khun somehow made it out safely as well.

Nearby, Sia and Cassano are seen walking up to them while Horyang is seen lying on the ground nearby. Sia finds it surprising that Nobic and Ran managed to also end up in their escape golem, which Nobic asks why she did all this. Sia answers that it was to show FUG off to the Tower, and explains that the destruction of the Hand of Arlene was required to create a symbol of terror and worship regarding the birth of their new FUG Slayer. She adds that it will be interesting to see how people react when the rumors begin to spread that their FUG Slayer went to such lengths in order to kill a son from a Great Family.

Sia continues her story that the trap at the Hand of Arlene was just the beginning, and that they now have their sights set to join the Workshop Battle. They plan to make a top E-rank team of Regulars that will eliminate everyone in the tournament so that they can continue building on the new legend that they started for Viole.

Viole steps in to stop the fighting before anything bad happens

Nobic remains silent unable to say anything as Ran gets up claiming that this story isn't funny, and that everyone will be dead soon anyway. Threatening Sia and Cassano, Ran states that he will kill them before they ever get to Workshop. Nobic asks if Ran is ok to continue fighting, but despite Ran saying that he is, Nobic could tell that his partner is completely exhausted. Ran and Cassano charge one another prepared to fight, but before their attacks could connect, Viole steps between them. Shown to have copied Nobic's Hayeol abilities, Viole uses the Crimson Soul Fist Seal sphere to stop both their attacks.

Ran and Cassano back down from fighting as Viole stands before everyone. He sends Nobic and Ran a message through Sia's lighthouse that he doesn't wish to fight the people who were Khun's teammates. Hearing that Viole knows about Khun surprises Nobic and Ran as Sia is left confused as to why Viole is choosing to talk with them through the lighthouse.

Still talking through the lighthouse, Viole turns his attention to Sia, and tells her that while he will join the Workshop Battle with her team, Nobic and Ran will be joining them. Nobic and Ran remain confused by the statement as a shocked Sia begins to realize what Viole is planning. She tries to inform him that a problem may occur if he goes this route, but Viole rejects her by stating that his decision is final.

Unable to say anything else, Sia finally agrees to go along with it as she orders for Nobic and Ran to follow her so that they can put their Workshop team together. Nobic and Ran still remain convinced as to why they should go, but Viole orders them over the lighthouse to follow, or else they will die here. Nobic remains confused as to why Viole would both worry about them, and threaten them with death. However, unbeknownst to Sia and Cassano, Viole had sent a message to Ran's Pocket.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_03.jpg
Sia goes along with Viole's order to allow Nobic and Ran into FUG's team

Ran looks to his Pocket, and sees Viole's message to trust him, and that he's not his enemy. Viole also states that someone like Khun would be able to survive the Hand of Arlene explosion. Thinking it over, Ran decides to go along with it, and states that he will join FUG's team to enter the Workshop Battle which confuses Nobic even further.

Meanwhile, at the rubble where the Hand of Arlene use to stand, Sweet and Sour look around hoping that they can find any clue regarding Viole and Horyang's whereabouts. Moments later, Ehwa notes that she's tracking something on her Pocket, which she believes to be Viole's Pocket that's been buried deep in the rubble.

    Khun Recovered

Ehwa asks Wangnan what they should do, which Wangnan answers that they need to blow the rubble away. Before anyone else could question his decision, Wangnan picks up one of his shinsu bombs, and throws it at the rubble. The bomb explodes, and as the smoke subsides, much of the rubble had been removed in front of them.

Sweet and Sour uncovers Khun from the Hand of Arlene rubble

Sweet and Sour look amongst the cleared rubble, and spot the location where Ehwa tracked Viole's Pocket. However, next to Viole's Pocket is Khun; having protected himself from the rubble using his Armor Inventory. Seeing Khun, Sweet and Sour hurry towards him to check if he's ok.

In his sleep, Khun thinks back to the last moments he saw Viole screaming back to him to run from the Hand of Arlene explosion. He questions if the voice he heard sounded like Bam or not, and tries to piece together the information he had so far. He thinks back to how FUG's new Slayer Candidate, Jue Viole Grace, has been given the mission to kill Jahad, and the heads of the ten Great Families, to make FUG's dream come true.

Despite that, he remains confused as to why Viole tried to call out to him, and tries to peice together how FUG, Slayer, Rachel, Betrayal, Death and Bam, are all connected. He thinks back to how Emile told him that Bam's alive, and feels like he finally got an answer of proof that it may be true, but before Khun could know for sure, he wakes up hearing someone screaming. Goseng and Ehwa are seen next to Khun, who was resting in bed until that point. Wangnan complains as to why Ehwa set the acupuncture on Khun's chest on fire just now as Ehwa fears that something bad might happen.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_05.jpg
Khun meets Sweet and Sour

She asks if she should take the burning acupuncture out, but Wangnan fears that it's too late now since Ehwa's flames are too hot, and states that they need to bring water over. However, Ehwa warns him that her fire can't be put out with simple water. Wangnan and Ehwa continue to argue about what to do, but Khun quickly pulls out the acupuncture, and grabs hold of Wangnan to threaten him with it. Holding the acupuncture up to Wangnan's throat, Khun orders for Wangnan to tell him his identity, and why they've taken him in. Wangnan answers that it's because there's something they need to know from him as well.

Some time later, Khun is introduced to the rest of Team Tansooyook, which now consists of just Wangnan, Ehwa, Goseng, Miseng, Akraptor, and Prince. Khun asks if this really was the team that Viole was climbing the Tower with, which Miseng answers that it was, but now doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Looking over the group, Khun deduces that this team is just too ordinary to be climbing alongside FUG's Slayer Candidate, and feels that something is amiss here. Wangnan explains that they followed after their two teammates, Viole and Horyang, to the Hand or Arlene, but failed to reach them in time before the structure turned to rubble, and all they could find was Viole's Pocket alongside Khun deep within it.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_06.jpg
Wangnan shows Viole's Grade-A Pocket that was found with Khun in the rubble

He asks Khun what happened at the Hand of Arlene, but Khun answers that even he doesn't know for sure yet, which leaves Wangnan even more confused. Khun asks about Viole's Pocket they claimed to have been found alongside him, which Wangnan answers that they have it, and hands it over.

Khun looks at Viole's Pocket, but all that's written on it is the letter A. He then gets up, and informs Khun that he's heading out to get his team back, which leaves Wangnan even more confused as to what's going on. Wangnan tries to stop Khun, but is helped by Akraptor, who blocks Khun from exiting the room. He asks for Khun to take them along with him, which leaves Khun confused. Akraptor explains that he believes that Khun's appearance has something to do with what happened to Viole and Horyang, and states that he needs any information he can get to know that they're both alive and safe. Khun asks if Sweet and Sour is qualified to climb to the 29th Floor, which the team states they are. In return, Khun asks that they follow him.

Khun and Sweet and Sour travel up to the 29th Floor, and reach a bunker that Khun's team was using as their temporary home. Ehwa, Goseng and Miseng stay behind in their transport vehicle as Wangnan, Prince, Akraptor, and Khun head for the bunker to check if it's safe; finding it amazing how rich Khun must be to afford such a home. Akraptor walks alongside Khun, and reveals that he did his research on him knowing that he's full identity is Khun Augero Agnis, a prideful Great Family member, and a famous Regular amongst the E-ranks.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_07.jpg
Khun returns to his 29th Floor base only to find Dan injured, and Gyetang dead

Akraptor points out how being a Great Family member makes him an enemy of Viole, which causes Khun to react. However, Khun shakes it off, and informs Akraptor that he witnessed Viole and Horyang escape out of the destroyed Hand of Arlene alive. Akraptor is glad to hear it, but Khun informs him that what he's truly worried about was what may have gone down in this bunker while he was away.

The four of them enter Khun's bunker as Khun begins to call out for his teammates, such as Gyetang, Dan, and Michael. Wangnan checks one of the rooms, and is shocked by what he sees. He calls out to Khun that he's found someone as they all enter the room Wangnan opened. Wangnan, Prince, Akraptor, and Khun are left stunned seeing F.U.G. written on the wall with a tied up Dan bleeding out on the floor, and Gyetang lying dead in the bed.

Khun is left shocked believing that they're both dead, and looks to the FUG word that's been written on the wall. However, Prince notices vital signs on his lighthouse that shows that amongst the two, Dan is still breathing. Sweet and Sour pick up Dan's body as Wangnan orders Prince to locate a nearby hospital that they can bring Dan to. Khun takes a closer look at the injured Dan, and is saddened to see that his legs have been brutally stabbed.

Some time later in the hospital room, Dan remains resting on a bed while Khun remains sitting on a bench nearby thinking about what had just transpired. Khun then leaves the hospital room, and is greeted by Sweet and Sour wondering how Dan is doing. He informs the group that while Dan will manage to survive, his legs have been severely injured.

    The Path to Viole

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_08.jpg
Hwaryun greets Khun

Wangnan tries to explain that this had nothing to with Viole, but Khun cuts him off stating that he already knows that, and that the one who was behind the betrayal in his team was Rachel. Khun states that he wishes to have some alone time to clear his thoughts, which Sweet and Sour allow him to do so.

Moments later, Khun remains alone in a giant room, and looks down at Viole's Pocket with the letter A. He figures that if Viole was indeed Bam, then the Pocket he's currently holding is the Grade-A Pocket that Princess Yuri had provided Bam before he took part in Headon's 1st Floor test. Khun admits that the fact that Regulars need to upgrade their Pockets going up the Tower makes it highly unlikely that just about anyone would start off with a high-end Grade-A Pocket, and pretty much confirms that the Pocket is Bam's.

Khun thinks back to how Bam was confirmed to be an Irregular, and realizes that FUG, Slayer, Rachel, Betrayal, Death, Bam, and the Viole title, are all connected through the existence of someone being an Irregular. Despite making this deduction, Khun is still not 100% sure that Viole is actually 25th Bam. However, it's at this point that Khun is greeted by someone he was not expecting to see, the one-eyed, red-headed guide, Hwaryun.

At another location, Shibisu's team can be seen watching a newscast in their room regarding the Hand of Arlene having been blown to pieces on the 28th Floor. The reporters claim that many Regulars caught in the explosion had died or been injured, including Khun, who they assume had been killed. They continue by stating that left behind inside the rubble of the Hand of Arlene was a symbol of FUG's Slayer Candidate, and a message claiming that what happened here is a sacrifice for the birth of their new FUG Slayer. The reports add that this message could also be interpreted as a warning to those that are set to take part in the 30th Floor's Workshop Battle. Watching the report of Shibisu's team includes him, Endorsi, Anaak, Hatz, Lauroe, Aleksai, and two unknown newcomers.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_09.jpg
Paracule informs Rak about Khun's apparent death at the Hand of Arlene

Elsewhere, Rak remains sitting on a tiny island as Paracule is seen jumping along the rocks to reach the alligator's location. Paracule yells to him that he just received some big news, and informs Rak that he just learned that Khun's been announced to be dead. Despite looking shocked at first, Rak shakes it off, and orders for Paracule not to lie to him about something that sounded so stupid for his genius. Paracule states that it's true if Rak just looks up the information on a lighthouse himself, but Rak ignores it, and begins to walk away.

Paracule next asks what Rak is doing, to which the alligator answers that he's off to catch a sneaky turtle. Knowing that he's referring to Khun, Paracule questions how Rak plans to find a dead person, but Rak orders the idiot to shut up, and to just continue following along.

Within a FUG hideout, Horyang wakes up in a locked room, and finds it surprising that he's somehow alive and well. Horyang is then greeted by Cassano, which angers Ilmar that his friend led him into a trap at the Hand of Arlene. However, Cassano asks for Horyang to join FUG's team for the Workshop. He informs Ilmar that Sophia is waiting for them, which leaves Horyang confused as to what Cassano means by that. In another locked room of the FUG facility is Ran and Nobic eating a snack they were given.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_10.jpg
Hwaryun reveals to Khun that she led Bam down the path of the FUG Slayer

As they eat their snacks, Nobic notices Sia walking by the window of their locked door, and spots two hooded figures walking behind her. He questions if these two are perhaps new teammates that were provided from FUG.

Returning to Khun, he questions why Hwaryun has come before him given that the last time he saw her was when she failed the Floor of Tests. Hwaryun answers that it's because she was bestowed with the Tower's guide Position, which allows for her to go anywhere in the Tower. Khun remains confused, which Hwaryun further explains that she was provided a job from FUG to take the Floor of Tests alongside Khun and company. Hearing the fact that Hwaryun and FUG are connected shocks Khun, which she answers to be the case. She explains to Khun that FUG had wanted the Irregular known as 25th Bam so that their dream to reshape the Tower would come true. She also adds that it was FUG who made sure that everyone would believe Bam died on the Floor of Tests. He was then turned into the FUG Slayer, Jue Viole Grace, and that the guide who led him onto this path was her.

Unable to believe what he's hearing, Khun attempts to land a punch on Hwaryun, but has his first blocked by the guide's staff. He orders for Hwaryun to tell him where she took Bam, but she answers that what happened at the Hand of Arlene wasn't part of her plan, which confuses Khun. She explains to him that what happened to Bam is related to elder FUG members and previous Slayers that are only interested in the politics and powers within the terrorist organization, and that they've gone to such a length to make sure that they can have Viole under their control with a team created by them.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_11.jpg
Hwaryun asks Khun to win the Workshop Battle so that Viole can be free again

Khun questions if what Hwaryun means is that she ended up getting stabbed in the back, which she admits to be the case. With her explanation over, Hwaryun asks Khun for a favor, which surprises him. She asks for Khun to win the Workshop Battle with what's left of Viole's former Sweet and Sour, which greatly confuses Khun as to why he needs to do this. Hwaryun explains that FUG came to a disagreement as to whether Viole should climb with this new team made by the FUG higher-ups, or his original Sweet and Sour. She adds that while there's been a high Ranker in FUG allowing for the FUG Slayer to live freely (referring to Jinsung) Viole still turned out to be such a powerful monster that the higher-ups couldn't ignore him being away from their control, and many in FUG turned out to be in agreement with said higher-ups.

Khun rejects Hwaryun by stating that even if he helped Sweet and Sour win the Workshop Battle, nothing in the end will change since Bam would still be stuck in FUG to be taken advantage of. However, Hwaryun points out that Khun's current position is weak to do anything about this issue himself due to his team falling apart, and asks if he's choosing to give up, and run away. Unable to say anything back, Khun accepts that he's in no position at the moment to help Bam. At this point, Wangnan appears before the two of them to inform Khun that Dan is finally awake.

    Preparing for the Workshop Battle

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_12.jpg
The injured Dan asks Khun to let him take part in the Workshop Battle

Sitting at Dan's bedside, Khun informs him of his leg injury, which he stubbornly accepts that he won't be able to run fast anymore. Khun apologizes to Dan for forcing him to join his team, but Dan ignores it, and states that he wishes for Khun to take him to the Workshop Battle. The announcement shocks Khun, and reminds Dan of the current status of his legs. However, Dan explains that he needs to do this, because Rachel kept him alive to see how far he can go without the use of his legs. He continues by stating that he doesn't want Rachel to see that he's given up everything, and fallen into misery without the use of his legs.

Khun continues to sit by listening as Dan reveals to him that he lost all his teammates in the last team he was part of before Khun had forced him into his new team. He explains that compared to his teammates, who stood strong against the tough opponents they came across in the exam, he instead chose to run away. He admits to have broken down to tears after having successfully run away from the exam.

Dan points out that the reason he stuck by Khun through all this is because he still hasn't forgiven himself for betraying his previous team, and that despite his team now having fallen apart once more, he's been unable to cry any tears. He states once more for the two of them to go to the Workshop Battle so that he can prove to Rachel that he hasn't given just yet, which leaves Khun silent.

Outside Dan's hospital room, Hwaryun is seen with Sweet and Sour. Khun exits the room, and calls out to Hwaryun that he will accept the task to take Sweet and Sour to the Workshop Battle, and come out the winners.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc29_13.jpg
Khun joins forces with Sweet and Sour to win the Workshop Battle

Wangnan questions what Khun is referring to, which causes him to introduce himself to Sweet and Sour fully, and that he was a previous teammate of Viole. Khun explains that if they work together to win the Workshop Battle, they can bring Viole back. Looking at Sweet and Sour, Khun admits that he doesn't care if winning the Workshop Battle brings no immediate change, but winning will be a personal win for him to get back that those who've been looking down on him.

Wangnan answers that with the loss of Viole and Horyang, their current team doesn't have a good percentage to win Workshop. However, Khun replies that they have a 100% chance of winning as long as he's with them. He informs Sweet and Sour that he will come up with the perfect strategy, even if he has to resort to being dirty and nasty to do it, which leaves the group shocked at how scary the handsome Khun can be.

Despite his announcement, Khun reassures Sweet and Sour that there's no pressure here, and that their joining the Workshop Battle should be viewed as just an attempt to meet an old friend. Thinking it over, Wangnan agrees with Khun, and sticks his hand out to shake hands. He states to Khun that they will win the Workshop Battle as Khun accepts shaking his hand to become a team.

Reflejo introduces himself to Viole as one of his new Workshop teammates

Meanwhile, back at FUG's facility, the two new FUG recruits are seen introducing themselves to Viole. One of the new Regulars, seen wearing a gray mask, introduces himself as Reflejo; a fisherman that will be serving the FUG Slayer from now on. Reflejo asks how Viole likes the power of the Thorn weapon that they've provided him as a giant crack in the wall is seen in front of them. Viole is seen holding the Thorn weapon in his right hand, which is an odd glowing object that he tested against the wall.

Viole puts away the Thorn, and begins to leave. He passes by Sia and his new FUG teammates as Reflejo states that he wishes to apologize for having to bring the FUG Slayer here by force. Continuing to walk away, Viole replies that it was his own fault for showing FUG his weakness, and asks for the team to just focus on the upcoming test.

A month passes as Sweet and Sour is seen at a location of the 29th Floor training for their upcoming Floor test. Wangnan is seen running away from a rolling boulder while the rest of Sweet and Sour take the moment to rest having to go through Khun's training. Meanwhile, Khun is seen sitting nearby watching over their training. Moments later, Sweet and Sour are left completely exhausted as Khun remains as the only one standing; informing them that they're done for the day.

Sweet and Sour exhausted after experiencing Khun's one month training

Khun states that while there's still a few areas of training that he wishes to expand on, their 29th Floor test is tomorrow, and wishes for everyone to be rested for it. He adds that they will be leaving the next morning, and then officially ends the training. As Khun leaves the exhausted Sweet and Sour Regulars to rest, Prince complains that the Great Family member has been acting like the leader ever since he joined. He also points out that the dude is crazy forcing them to endure endless training the whole month. Thinking over the current situation, Wangnan remains silent.

An exhausted Wangnan returns to their 29th Floor home, and is just barely able to open the front door. Upon entering he's greeted by Dan, which surprises Wangnan that the former speedster scout is already moving about despite his leg injury. Dan reassures Wangnan that while the doctors told him to rest more, it will help the healing process if he starts moving a bit so his legs don't go stiff. Taking a seat next to Dan, Wangnan asks for him to not push himself, which Dan replies that he needs to do his part getting used to his new legs since everyone else is working hard to make it to the Workshop Battle. Dan asks if Wangnan will be ok going into the 29th Floor test with just six people, which Wangnan answers that even he doesn't know for sure.

Khun scolds Goseng for her lack of confidence in herself

Wangnan admits that he feels scared and nervous knowing that he will be entering a test without Viole and Horyang backing him up. He also adds that it's not just him that's perhaps feeling this way. That everyone on Sweet and Sour is feeling a bit of emptiness without Viole and Horyang around, but are too stubborn to show that they're feeling lonely.

Meanwhile, Goseng arrives at Khun's room, and states that she wishes to ask him some questions about the plans they've established for the upcoming test. Khun asks what she's referring to, which Goseng answers that she was able to come up with a few partial strategies that could be implemented into Khun's plans. Khun thinks it over, and asks if Goseng spent the whole night reviewsing Khun's strategies only to come up with something as weak as a partial strategy, which leaves Goseng struggling to properly answer him. Khun calls her out for not putting much faith in the strategy they prepared over the past month, and points out that her teammates will struggle taking the test if they see that their light-bearer doesn't have confidence. He orders Goseng to have more faith in herself, which Goseng half-heartedly agrees that she will do so.

Prince decides to help Miseng train

Prince and Miseng continue to rest after Khun's daily training, but Miseng gets up, which causes Prince to ask where she's going. Miseng answers that she plans to continue training, which shocks Prince, who reminds her that training for the day is over. A saddened Miseng answers that it's because she wants to see Viole and Horyang again. Beginning to cry, Miseng states that she will try harder so that she doesn't have to lose them similar to how she lost her parents.

Seeing Miseng crying, Prince gets up, and calls her out for trying to be a grown-up when all she does is dream about looking for her parents. Miseng remains confused by Prince's statment, which he adds that he's decided that, as a grown-up, he will help her out. He states that he will be sure to find Viole, Horyang, and even her parents, so that she doesn't have to cry anymore, which Miseng accepts.

In another room of their base, Ehwa is seen trying to control her powerful flames by lighting a tiny match, but continues to burn up the areas all around it. She falls to the floor in frustration confused as to why she can't do this properly, and thinks to herself that she will be bound to make a mistake in the 29th Floor test without Viole being there keeping her flames under control. Ehwa is left worrying that her current state will no doubt get everyone during the test hurt. The training continues throughout the night amongst everyone in Sweet and Sour.

Sweet and Sour unable to get any sleep training for the 29th Floor test

Akraptor is seen trying to get some sleep, but becomes irritated being kept up because of everyone's training. The following morning, Khun and Dan are left stunned upon seeing that no one on Sweet and Sour was able to get some rest. He yells at the group that it was an order from him to get some rest to be fresh for the 29th Floor test. He also reminds them that this is their only chance within the remaining time-frame to get invited to the 30th Floor's Workshop Battle in time. Becoming frustrated, Khun orders them to go back to bed to get as much sleep as they can before the test, which they all agree to do.

Khun returns to his room with Dan, but is still steaming in frustration at Sweet and Sour training overtime. Dan points out that they're all just trying to do their best, but Khun replies that they're being stupid for not caring about their bodies being in the proper condition for the test. Khun admits that he's starting to understand why FUG has been so desperate to get their FUG Slayer away from this team that's been an absolute disaster, and finds it amazing that Bam was able to climb the Tower this far alongside them. Khun begins to wonder if its perhaps better that they don't win here, but Dan quickly orders him to get away from having that kind of thought.

Dan noticing that Khun's nervous about the upcoming Floor Test

Khun spends the next moments tapping his desk in frustration, which Dan suggests that his teammate should get some rest since he will need it as well. Khun answers that he won't be able to get any sleep, because he's been too nervous. He points out how stupid it is for him to be nervous of a test that's as low as the 29th Tower Floor, and asks for Dan to call a doctor since he believes that Sweet and Sour's stupidity has affected him.

Dan is seen thinking to himself that this result was obvious given that the team he created to look after Rachel were all above average teammates. Continuing to look at Khun, Dan figures that this must be a weird feeling for Khun given that it's normal to feel nervous before taking a test, and yet this is the first time he's been put in such a desperate situation. Dan is left wondering just how big the 29th Floor test actually is for Khun.

At another location, a tiny robot is seen driving up to a long-haired person in white, and informs said person that they're about ready to start the Workshop Battle. The person with long hair informs the robot to send out the invitations, which the robot agrees to do so.

During the 29th Floor test for Viole's FUG team, the group is already seen to have passed the exam. Ran and Nobic are seen looking at their six teammates consisting of Viole, Horyang, Sia, Cassano Reflejo, and an unknown. Nobic points out how he doesn't like this team one bit, which Ran agrees with.

Nobic and Ran witness the overwhelming strength of Viole's FUG team

However, they both stubbornly admit that this is easily the best Tower team they've ever seen. Sia reacts to a message that had just been sent to her lighthouse, and is seen giving off a smile. She informs the team that it's finally here.

At another location, Shibisu reacts to a lighthouse near him after a message had been sent to it. Reading the message, he informs his team that it's about time for them to get moving. Their goal being to defeat the FUG Slayer, Viole. Meanwhile, Rak decides to change direction to take part in the Workshop Battle. Paracule is left questioning Rak's decision pointing out that the cruel FUG Slayer will definitely be there, but Rak continues to completely ignore him.

At Khun's room, he is seen getting a bit of rest, but wakes up when he gets a message on his lighthouse. Reading the message, Khun sees that it's an invite to the Workshop battle for the following eight people team that consists of Khun, Wangnan, Ehwa, Goseng, Miseng, Akraptor, Prince, and Dan. Khun falls back to sleep stating that it's now time to go to the Workshop Battle. Meanwhile, Sweet and Sour are all seen resting in the waiting room after completing the 29th Floor test.

Back to the location of the man with long hair who ordered the Workshop invitations, the man opens his arms, and orders for those that were summoned to the Tower to come to his Workshop Battle. He points out that they're the smiths who tap into their greed, and that the Workshop Battle will soon begin.
