The opening episode of World Tour. Two new contestants are introduced, and the contestants land in Egypt for their first challenge.

- Cluster Bleep-Bomb: Alejandro curses in Spanish and in bleeps after learning that his team's going to consist of Tyler, Owen, and Noah.
- Continuity Nod: Chris mentions Bridgette being the co-host of the Aftermath in the previous season.
- Gwen reminds Ezekiel of the fact that his behaviour got him kicked off first in Island.
- Cool Shades: Alejandro wears these as he comes off the bus at the airport.
- Curse: DJ accidentally puts the curse of the mummifed dog on himself for his team.

- Have I Mentioned I Am Heterosexual Today?: Tyler is helped up by the charming Alejandro, prompting him to insist that he likes girls.

- Non-Gameplay Elimination: Duncan, after refusing to sing the reprise of "Come Fly with Us". He ended up going AWOL after that.Duncan: Duncans do not sing.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Chris refers to Cody and Noah as "returning favourites".
- No Reprise, Please
- Plot Allergy: Ezekiel reveals that he has a peanut allergy when Chris says that people who get to stay receive a barf bag filled with peanuts. He nuances it a beat later by calling it a peanut sensitivity, but Chris has enough of him already and throws him out of the plane.
- Rapid-Fire "No!": Chris forces Duncan, Courtney, and Gwen to do a musical reprise for not having reached the finish line in a timely manner. Duncan hates singing, but had agreed to it if it was one song per episode, so the fact that Chris can always order a reprise sets him off. He rushes down the pyramid, dragging Gwen and Courtney along, while demonstratively telling Chris "No!" over and over until he reaches him and declares he quits the competition.
- Shout-Out:
- "Come Fly With Us" parodies Frank Sinatra's "Come Fly With Me".
- When the contestants are in the pyramid, Noah mentions "Our friendly neighborhood host dude".
- The booby trap Sierra sets off comes from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
- During Izzy's mummy song, she mentions she would be awesome as Frankenstein's bride. She also compares Ezekiel wrapped in mummy bandages to Frankenstein.
- Team Hand-Stack: Team Amazon performs a team hand-stack when they proudly announce the team name they've settled on.
- Titled After the Song: The title is the same as a song by The Bangles.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Owen, once again, shows how terrified of flying he is, needing DJ to restrain him as he comes off the bus.
- You Need a Breath Mint: Ezekiel brags that he'll never have to travel economy class on the Total Drama Jumbo Jet. Noah, who stands right next to him, asks if "never" is his policy on mouthwash too.
