The contestants are put through a superhero genre challenge where they must create their own hero, powers and heroic deeds.

Tropes:

  • All Amazons Want Hercules: Leshawna admits being attracted to Harold after he completes the second part of the challenge.
  • Animal Motifs: Courtney's superhero name is The Human Cricket, and Chef's supervillain alias is based on a python.
  • Ash Face: Justin gets one after being electrocuted in the final stretch of the challenge.

  • Captain Superhero: Harold's superhero is Captain Alberta.
  • Cats Are Mean: The supervillain (Chef) has a sidekick cat called "Dander Boy".
  • Chekhov's Gun: The burrito that Duncan puts into Harold's pocket as a prank, helps Harold get some food before the challenge and helps him with In a Single Bound in the second part of the episode.
  • Civvie Spandex: Chris continuously mentions the use of this on superhero costumes, and seems particularly interested in this as well.
  • Damsel in Distress: Chef is forced to be one in the introduction to the challenge. The contestants also have to save one in the second part of the challenge (it's actually a sack of potatoes).
  • Electric Torture: Courtney gets electrocuted as part of Chef's sabotage when they make costumes. Justin gets electrocuted before he can finish the obstacle course.

  • Expressive Mask: Chef's supervillain costume has one of these.
  • Friend Versus Lover: Harold was torn between voting with Justin's Alliance or staying loyal with Leshawna. Harold chose to vote with Justin.
  • Gasshole: Harold becomes this as his superpower.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Chef (as part of the obstacle course section: "Meteor Shower"), throws bowling balls at the contestants.
  • In a Single Bound: One part of the second part of the challenge.
  • Kick the Dog: Pretty much what Courtney and Duncan do when planning to vote off Leshawna.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Duncan and Courtney trick Harold into voting Leshawna off, by lying to him that the girls are targeting him.
  • Not So Above It All: Chris was a fan of Wonder Woman as a kid.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: When Chris is annoyed with the Courtney's impatience.
    Chris: (while tidying his hair from a failed stunt) When. I. Feel. Like. It.
  • Advertisement:
  • Screw the Rules, I Make Them!: Chris pretty much says this when explaining why he made Lindsay the winner of the forst part of the challenge.
  • Snakes Are Sinister: Chef's supervillain name is based on a python.
  • Super Zeroes
  • Team Mom: Courtney helps the Guys' Alliance eliminate Leshawna. On the other hand, Leshawna serves as one to Beth and Lindsay.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Harold is told by Courtney to vote off Leshawna.
