13 Reasons Why is a teen drama based on the book of the same name, revolving around the suicide of a high school student, Hannah Baker, and the aftermath that ensues from this tragedy. The show was released on Netflix from 2017 to 2020.

Clay Jensen returns home from high school to discover a box of cassette tapes, recorded by Hannah Baker, his classmate and secret crush, who died by suicide only two weeks before. Hannah's tapes reveal the 13 reasons that led to her untimely death, and the people she felt were responsible. This begins an emotional journey of suspense and heartbreak to uncover the mystery behind Hannah's tragic end.

In the aftermath of Hannah's death, friends, family and other people connected to her life begin complicated journeys toward healing and recovery. Liberty High prepares to go on trial, but someone will stop at nothing to keep the truth surrounding Hannah's death concealed. A series of ominous Polaroids lead Clay and his classmates to the discovery that Hannah wasn't the only one to suffer at the hands of Liberty's elite. When the whole truth is exposed, no one is spared the consequences.
