The Arnolds and Pfeiffers take a Summer trip to the lake. When Wayne and his friend Wart reluctantly take Kevin and Paul to the local drive-in, Kevin meets a girl, Cara, who he ends up spending more time with than his family.

- Bittersweet Ending/ Foregone Conclusion: Eventually, the Arnold's have to leave the lake and go home, keeping Kevin and Cara apart (though they would reunite at the end of the season).
- First Appearance: Wayne's friend Wart.
- Grounded Forever: After Ida finds out that Paul has a condom in his wallet, Wayne informs Kevin that "Rubberhead" is grounded for life. Knowing Wayne, he's probably exaggerating.
- Visual Innuendo: Kevin and Paul are set on finding some girls at a lake spot they're camping at with their families, and Paul's excited to try to use a condom that he managed to get. They meet a girl named Cara whom Kevin likes and agrees to go on a date with. Paul, feeling left out, wants to make it a double-date, to which Cara says she can make happen since she has an available friend. Upon seeing the friend, Paul decides not to go. Kevin takes off with Cara, leaving Paul standing there, alone...with a hotdog in hand...
- You Are Grounded!: Paul gets grounded for having a condom in his pocket.
