Wil, Eretria, and Amberle are separated and have to deal with a group of elf hunters that are after them. Meanwhile, in Arborlon, the Changeling sends the Princes Ander and Arion on a suicide mission to kill the Dagda Mor. Allanon is healed by his former master Bremen and returns to Earth.

Tropes present in the episode:

  • Back from the Dead: Allanon comes back to life after he's killed by Arion in the last episode.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Allanon arrives just in time to save Ander and Bandon from Dagda Mor, but he's too late for Arion.
  • Character Death: Prince Arion and the Changeling.
  • Childhood Friends: Eretria and Zora used to be this.
  • Creepy Souvenir: The Elf Hunters take their victims' distinctive pointy Elf ears.
  • Dragon Rider: Well, Roc Rider, but that's what Perk is as a scout from Olden Moor.
  • Ear Ache: The Elf Hunters tear off the ears of the Elves they get their hands on so they can sell them to Gnomes for their "medical properties."
  • Evil Redhead: Zora, the leader of the Elf Hunters, has long dark red hair.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: How both Arion and the Changeling are killed.
  • Giant Flyer: Genewen, Perk's partner, is a Roc, a giant flying eagle.
  • Modesty Bedsheet: Diana is shown wearing this after she sleeps with Arion.
  • Psycho Ex-Girlfriend: Zora is not happy with how she and Eretria parted ways and doesn't hesitate to attack her.
  • Psycho Lesbian: Zora, Eretria's old girlfriend who is now an obsessive and brutal Elf Hunter. She still clearly shows attraction to Eretria, which comes off as creepy under the circumstances because she's hunting her, but has zero hesitation at harming or capturing Eretria to sell her as a slave either.
  • Ragnarök Proofing: Amberle and Eretria stumble upon the ruins of a high school that is preserved underground. It even has paper like streamers and a map intact. Eretria expresses skepticism, and realistically she's right-this was from centuries ago at least and should have rotted away over a short time.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Perk snaps when he sees his ear in the hands of an Elf Hunter.
  • Ruins of the Modern Age: While running from the Elf Hunters, Eretria and Amberle fall into the ruins of a high school party.
  • Slashed Throat: Perk does this to the Elf Hunter that took his ear.
  • Soft Water: Wil, Amberle and Eretria all survive their fall last episode due to this trope, waking up unconscious by the river, unarmed but separated.
  • Tribal Face Paint: All the Elf Hunters wear this.
  • Uriah Gambit: The Changeling, in the guise of King Eventine, sends off both of his "sons" to assassinate its master Dagda Mor to get them killed and deliver the Warlock's Sword to him.
  • Unwanted Revival: After being resurrected again, Allanon asks his master to finally let him go, but he refuses, saying Allanon still has a job to do.
