Don't panic. Nobody dies. Maybe.

The 13th episode and Van Helsing's first appearance.

Orlok, the famous Nosferatu, has risen to resurrect the lord of the vampires: Dracula. Van Helsing, the elderly hunter of the undead, calls upon Sir (reluctantly) to stop him. Being a bit kooky, he asks of Z-Squared, Mothra, Fluttershy, and Tafeli (the mailman, mind you). They manage to chase Orlok to his castle and they prevent the ritual from resoring Dracula, the sun killing the Nosferatu in the process.

  • A Day in the Limelight: Lampshaded by Sir. He feels that Mothra, Fluttershy, and Tafeli need this.
  • Ancient Artifact: Three of them. The first two are the Hammer of Destruction and the Chisel of Pain. Both were used to stake Dracula. The nails that held the chains to the coffin he was put into were forged by angels.
  • Animals Hate Him: The rats and insects can't stand Orlok as they run away from him.
    • Ironic, in that one of Orlok's forms is a pack of rats.
  • Axe Before Entering: Mothra shoots down the door to the basement.
  • Berserk Button: Tafeli's button (getting his tentacles hurt) is utilized to take Orlok down.
  • Call-Back: Everyone is worried their caller is Necrosan. Not out of fear, but annoyance. Megatron and Mr. Freeze are still out of commission.
  • Cassandra Truth: Helsing knows nobody will believe him, so he calls whatever supernatural being he can find. Sadly, it's Sir.
  • Collapsing Lair: The basement of the castle after so much damage.
  • Creepy Basement: Where Orlok does his ritual.
  • Cue the Sun: What does Orlok in.
  • Cuteness Proximity: Mothra and Fluttershy immediately fawn over Tafeli over his appearance.
  • Deus ex Machina: Lampshaded when Fluttershy becomes Flutterbat due to Orlok's presence.
  • Distinction Without a Difference: The narration tells us that Transylvania is not the birthplace of vampires. It is the birthplace of vampires AND a decent place to visit.
  • Evil Smells Bad: The stench of death liners over the town when Orlok is finished with it.
  • Exposition: Sir about Dracula. It's frequently interrupted by the gang.
  • First-Name Basis: Sir calls Van Helsing by his first name, Abraham, as a sign of friendship. Abraham...doesn't share the same sentiment.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Orlok's hunger gives him away. Also, he causes the basement to fall when he starts removing more support bricks.
  • Hollywood Satanism: The Mephisto Waltz. It even raises vampires from the dead. Also, it can also call upon upon Lucifer, the Antichrist.
  • Idiot Ball: Everyone seems to think Sir has a very FIRM grasp on it when he hires Tafeli and a few d-list members of the team to deal with Orlok. Subverted in which that it works.
    • Also, it's SIR. What else did you expect?
  • Metaphorgotten: Sir remarks that 'a magician never reveals his secrets' when asked how he knew the plan would work. Even he's not sure what it means.
  • Moon Rabbit: The shadow of Orlok's head serves as this on the poster.
  • No Name Given: Lucifer is simply referred to as "The Antichrist". And for good reason...
  • Noodle Incident: Why is Flutterbat canon if Season 4 isn't canon here? Well, there was an incident involving Vampire Fruit Bats, noodles, and balls of twine.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: "Night's Over." Cue the Sun.
  • Product Placement: Averted. It looks like an ad for Transylvania at first, but the story then gets on track.
  • Pun-Based Title
  • Soul Jar: Orlok has a vial for the job.
  • Storming the Castle: The team does this to the decrepit Castle Dracula.
  • Tampering with Food and Drink: Seeing Flutterbat prompts Orlok to look at his wine bottle and wonder what do they put in it nowadays.
  • Unexpectedly Abandoned: Thanks to Orlok, the town in deserted. The stench of death lingers...
  • Walking Wasteland: The fruit begins to turn rotten when Orlok comes along.
  • What Could Possibly Go Wrong? / Tempting Fate: Z-Squared remarks that, in recruiting members to fight Orlok, Sir wouldn't do something too stupid. See the entry for Idiot Ball.
