The start of some good ol' fashioned vengeance...
The 12th episode and Necrosan's first appearance.
The hunter of souls and the dragon of Death, Necrosan, decides to spice up his life by challenging the Review Team to a duel. When they refuse, he plays horrible pranks on them until they agree. Z-Squared, Megatron, Marceline, and Mr. Freeze are sent to defeat him. The challenge consists of them defeating an army of undead space gangsters and, eventually, the beast himself. Despite being a tough opponent, Necrosan is felled by a piece of Marceline's recently shattered axe-bass.
While everyone recovers, Necrosan swears revenge on the whole team.
- The Alleged Car: Z-Squared car is an utter wreck, with our hero even thinking it's haunted.
- Badass Boast: The members that are chosen have these.
- Brain Bleach: What everyone wants after the pranks.
- Bullying a Dragon: Discord, will you EVER learn to not mess with Megatron?!
- Call-Back: Discord is still cross over that incident in the last episode. He tries to steal Megatron's fusion cannon before getting frozen by Freeze.
- Cosmetic Horror: The makeup that Necrosan put on Godzilla's team.
- Covers Always Lie: The foot looked WAY bigger than it should be in an early version of the poster (even the artist knew it).
- Cue the Sun: The poster.
- Did I Just Say That Out Loud?: In regards to the noodle incident, Basil becomes sheepish after mentioning that.
- Duet Bonding: Marceline and Z-Squared turn on the radio and they sing 'Just a Friend' together. Ruined by Necrosan.
- Genre Savvy: Sir and the team are wise enough not to accept Necrosan's challenge. The dragon then takes things into his own hands... In the rewrite, this is mitigated. Sir doesn't choose to battle him because he's not worthy as he looks.
- Harmless Freezing: Discord is on the receiving end of this.
- I Did What I Had to Do: Megatron claims he punished Discord in such a way last time because he wanted to show him his place.
- Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: Lampshaded with the gangsters.
- Improbably Cool Car: Z-Squared's Black Sedan with red hash marks. However, in the rewrite, it becomes MUCH less fancy.
- Loophole Abuse: Why is Necrosan part of CORE Universe? The sequel he was supposed to be in never got made.
- Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Undead Space Gangsters at Necrosan's beck and call.
- Noodle Incident: Basil, his Uncle Phil, and a lobster costume.
- Ominous Latin Chanting: Necrosan's battle theme.
- Pre-Mortem One-Liner: Necrosan is about to send Z-Squared to the other side. "Why don't you go there first?" SHANK!
- Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: While Necrosan is stabbing Megatron. "ON! YOUR! (KNEES!)".
- Rage Breaking Point: Sir, and especially the team, due to Necrosan's pranks. Sir especially after the 'Two Girls, One Cup' scene.
- Rasputinan Death: Necrosan is beat up really badly and then he's stabbed in the heart (his weakspot) by a broken axe-bass shard and then shanked through the head by Z-Squared's sword.
- Shout-Out: The entire driving scene is dedicated to a particular scene in Saints Row IV.
- Take That!: To Twilight and '2 Girls, 1 Cup'.
- Teleport Spam: Discord does this to annoy Megatron.
- Wrecked Weapon: The cover implies all the weapons get at least stomped on, but, in reality, only Marceline's axe bass is smashed by Necrosan's claw. It gets better.
