Penny stays with a Pakistani family during Cultural Appreciation Week.
Tropes:
- Green Around the Gills: Penny's face turns sickly green at the beginning of the episode when she hears Oscar talking about his "Proud Diversity Snax."
- Growling Gut: Penny's stomach growls from hunger when she realizes that staying with the Zamins means that she'll have to participate in Ramadan... as in, fast along with the rest of the family.
- No Ending/What Happened to the Mouse?: The Zamin family's house is vandalized near the end of the episode, complete with graffiti saying "Go home, towelheads!" (changed to "Go back to your country!" in reruns) Although Penny delivers a moving speech about discrimination and prejudice, this plot point is never brought up again.
- Prejudice Aesop: Penny learns not to judge a book by its cover or a person by their background.
- Very Special Episode: This episode is on point when the Prouds and Zamins return to the latter family's home to find it vandalized.
