Buttercup plays a perfect round of mini-golf and wants to keep her winning ball, but is told by the creepy proprietor that she has to return it...or else. She keeps it anyway, causing the robot mascot Owlie Boop to go on a rampage through Townsville, looking for the ball...or is it something else?

This episode contains examples of:

• Bait-and-Switch: After Buttercup gives the golf ball back, Owlie Boop shuts down. At first, the rampage is over, until Owlie Boop starts up again and continues looking, revealing that the golf ball was not what it is looking for.
• Call-Back: Owlie Boop reminds the Mayor of Ms. Bellum. He breaks down sobbing at the thought.
• Mini-Golf Episode: The episode begins at "Wooly's Ragtime Mini Golf" putting green, with Buttercup playing a perfect round of mini-golf.
• Mistaken for Flatulence: Blossom and Bubbles hear an explosion from outside (which is caused by Owlie Boop). Blossom gives Bubbles an annoyed look and says they "both know what that was". Bubbles says she didn't do that, and then she proceeds to fart for real.
• Not Me This Time: After a brow-beating from Blossom over taking the ball and setting Owlie Boop loose on a tear, Buttercup gives Owlie Boop the ball back, but the robot continues its destructive course. Up until it sees the pencil from the mini-golf course—that Blossom took.
• Rhymes on a Dime: How Owlie Boop talks.
• Shout-Out: Owlie Boop is obviously a nod to Betty Boop. Blossom's research showed she was a 1930s cartoon star. Two other robots at the golf course are replicas of Top Cat and Benny the Ball.
• Wink "Ding!": Buttercup, before she sinks her final putt.
• You Don't Want to Know: Wolly says this word to word to Buttercup when he tells her to return the ball to the nest...or else.
