- Artistic License – Space: SFG calls out Mars as being a bit too red compared to the real thing, wondering if it's supposed to be sunset.

- Hurricane of Puns: The Critic after Quaid's "See you at the party, Richter!"Critic: I'll lend you a hand! We'll have a farewell to arms! It won't be too limiting! Get it? Because I took your limbs!
- Last-Second Word Swap: When the Critic at first try to deny what he's reviewing to SciFi Guy.Critic: I'm just reviewing Total Recaaaaaaaa... nothing.
- Literal-Minded: During a scene where Cohagen tells Richter to follow orders or he'll "erase his ass," NC and SFG wonder if they mean erasing all or part of his behind.
- Never Say That Again: NC doesn't like Arnold basically saying the words "Just shove real hard." Not only may he never get an erection again, but you just can't hear certain lines the same way again after Arnold says them.
- Noodle Implement: A few as NC describes some of what he wants to have in his Rekall implant. It involves 1000 lbs of unsalted butter and an exquisite chinchilla. NC pulls a privacy curtain down once SFG is confused about what's going on.
- So Bad, It's Good: In-Universe. The Critic subverts this in his final verdict, saying the movie has all the cheesy fun of a bad action flick without actually being bad.
- Sting: In this scene:Critic: We know he just went to get implanted with memories. But the procedure gets interrupted.
SciFi Guy: Or does it?! (dun dun DUNNNNN!)
