"So when you come down from that high horse, me and Judith will be at the bistro down the street."

"Well then congratulations, for today, you dress with the gods."
François, attendant at Chez Pepe's

After a night's rest, the new Team USA congregates for their model training. While waiting for Jeannie, Rachel and Judith report to Brittnay - having been assigned by the latter to follow Saison and find concrete evidence of her French heritage - only to reveal that they had lost track of her. After a beratement and a short conversation on repayment once the job was done, Jeannie arrives to begin their training.

During the training session, Shay enters the studio in hopes of being included in the team. After being shot down by Cameron, Rachel and Judith - who just happened to be listening behind a door - offer Shay their company, to which Shay rejects immediately.

The training session is interrupted when Jeannie realize the team is late for a fitting at a high-end boutique. After a Costume-Test Montage involving a few exposed sensitive body parts, each member of Team USA is donned in new outfits. Shay, having surreptitiously accompanied the team to the store, tries again to join, this time being told off by Mackenzie.

Defeated, Shay is seen last with Rachel and Judith at a local bistro.

Tropes:

  • Attention Whore: Shay is desperate to be a part of the team and tries everything to be considered it, despite no one being interested in having her on the team.
  • Barbie Doll Anatomy:
    • Lampshaded in a less perverse way than is regularly seen on this show. When rehearsing photoshoots, Trisha C., along with Deandra and three of the dudes, is unable to bend her arms and legs due to her doll lacking elbow and knee joints. Matthew claims to never have needed to, while Jeannie mutters about a return of the 90s.
    • Once again lampshaded in a similar fashion as Trisha C. attempts to speak with her mother on the phone. As she cannot bend her arms, her phone is held well above her head as she yells, not being able to hear who she is calling.
  • Butt-Monkey: Shay, who is now everyone's target for ridicule for her constant lame attempts at getting on the modeling team, something no one seems interested in and she is shown as unnecessary to the team.
  • Call-Back:
    • Shay's proposed plan to defeat the French modelling team involves... incapacitating the team through a high concentration of laxatives in their drinks. Mackenzie wastes no expense in criticizing her lack of creativity.
    • A more subtle example - recognize Trisha's ringtone? It's Deandra ft. Daft Poop.
    • One of the outfits Mackenzie wears during the montage is Tristan's outfit during the prom back in season one.
  • Conveniently Timed Distraction: Rachel and Judith's Chase Scene ends due to Liam Neeson asking if they had seen his daughter. Saison escapes, unintentionally, but successfully.
  • Deconstruction: Of the fashion industry, as Jeannie mentions, is based on creating unrealistic standards of beauty that forces people with low self esteem to buy clothes that they hope will make them look better, even though it won't really help that much.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: When Team USA first arrives at Chez Pepe's, if you look closely at the background, you can see the stunt double doll of Brittnay.
  • Ironic Echo Cut: After losing Saison, Rachel anticipates Brittnay's reaction for when they break the news.
Rachel: Come on, let's go get called fucking idiots by Brittnay.
    (Cut to Jeannie's studio)
    Brittnay: YOU FUCKING IDIOTS.
  • Kick the Dog: Shay refuses to hang out with Rachel and Judith because they're poor, ugly, and look like they, in her own words, "just beat cancer yesterday".
  • The Load: Shay gets accused of being this: she is hot, but not that much, which is all she is good for. Just for hotness, they have Cameron, while the other girls have various talents which are more useful (Trisha and Trisha 2 are able to keep the team together, Mackenzie is a Magnificent Bastard, and Brittnay is the team's muscle).
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Shay gets these from all directions.
    • Cameron gives her one over the fact that she really isn't as pretty as the others and call her dog face.
    • Rachel gives her one when Shay refuses her invitation to hang out with them, throwing at her that she is just as much of an outcast as them during this trip and that she doesn't have any reason to think of herself better than then now. Right before that, Shay herself gives one to Rachel and Judith about how ugly and poor they are.
    • Mackenzie gives her one over her incapacity to make new plans, as well as her unattractiveness. Deandra lampshades how sad is for Shay to be so eager for attention.
  • Running Gag/Shout-Out: The Liam Neeson doll from Taken appear again, this time asking Rachel and Judith about his missing daughter.
  • Staggered Zoom: During Jeannie's moment of Tranquil Fury, combined with Punctuated! For! Emphasis! towards Brittnay.
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: Brittnay and Than both show their (censored) buttholes during the photoshoot, and believe there's no such thing as "too much butthole" as Jeannie berates them for.
  • Unplanned Crossdressing: During the Costume-Test Montage, Blaine is briefly seen in a black-and-white striped dress.
  • Wardrobe Malfunction: Cameron lets another nipslip during the costume montage.
