"I'm pretty sure he's not an evil of any kind. A good portion of this stuff doesn't seem to apply to him, so why should that?"

Akemi waits impatiently as Rie chats up a stranger at the Hanabira Cafe. She really doesn't want to sit around surrounded by cosplayers all day - Though she enjoys the dessert they have there - So she flicks of spoonful of ice cream into the otaku girl's face to get her attention. Rie isn't happy when her new friend walks away, and complains to Akemi that they were in a heated discussion over whether Takuto or Izumi would win in a fight. Akemi soon convinces her to get over it and get on with why they came to the cafe in the first place.

Rie hands over nine pages worth of information about wizards that she'd gotten from her books. Akemi deems this much info superfluous, but Rie says that it's actually not that much. There wasn't a lot in her books on wizards to begin with, since they're apparently not a common species. Akemi silently jokes that getting close to them would be the biggest problem, seeing as they live in another dimension. Rie also bemoans the fact that she can't research magic first-hand, prompting Akemi to consider telling Rie about Rokuro. She thinks better of it and leaves the cafe behind.

On her way home, Akemi finds that some of the information regarding wizards is very contradictory to what she's seen out of Rokuro so far.

"Skilled and expert wizards are usually able to do magic simply by recalling the spell within their mind, without actually executing it."note

"Wizards are spiritual in their own way. They have a great deal of patience, and do not entertain immaturity. They are respectful, compassionate, and honorable. Wizards are also very knowledgeable, and are at peace with themselves."note

"Despite most wizards being pure, there are those who chose a darker path. Though these kinds are much rarer, these types of wizards are very dangerous and tricky. They often put on a harmless charade to fool dim-witted victims into a false sense of security."

That last section is the one that startles Akemi the most, but she thinks nothing of it since a lot of Rie's information didn't apply to him. As she enters her home, Rokuro drops down from the ceiling to greet her and she hits him out of surprise. Rokuro apologizes for the locker room incident again, thinking that's why he got hit. Akemi gives her own apology and explains otherwise, then leaves to go do her homework.

Or not. Akemi doesn't get far before she turns around and asks Rokuro whether he's "good or bad"note  as a wizard. Rokuro doesn't understand the context and says he's "somewhere in the middle"note . Akemi doesn't bother repeating the question more clearly. She does, however, ask him if he knows anything about a couple of teenagers who were found encased in ice somewhere in the city. Rokuro instantly leaves to go outside.
