Recap / The Loud House S 6 E 2 Dont Escargo Double Trouble

Go To

Don't Escar-go: Clyde has a chance to study cooking in France, but his friends don't want him to leave and try every trick in the book to get him to stay.

"Don't Escar-go"

  • Big "NO!": Lincoln, when he finds out Clyde's cuisine school is in Paris.
  • Cordon Bleugh Chef: Clyde's escargot he makes at Lynn's Table is so rancid from the ingredients he added (taking Lynn Sr.'s orders out of context), his friends all vomit from the taste.
  • Exact Words: When told to make escargot at Lynn's Table, Clyde is told to follow what Lynn Sr. says. Unfortunately, Lynn Sr. is distracted by the lunch rush and spouts orders to his staff, which Clyde takes literally as he makes his meal.
  • Facepalm: Rusty does this when his attempt to take a sabotaged meal gets sent to Zach instead.
  • Feral Child: Waffles, Chef Pat's niece. She behaves like a rabid dog, and can only be placated (temporarily) by offering her waffles (befitting of her name).
  • Take a Third Option: Clyde ends up going with this. Instead of having to choose between staying home with his friends and family or moving to Paris for cooking classes, he gets to take part-time online classes.

Double Trouble: Lola and Lana are elated to become Auntie Pam's newest speakspeople for her ice cream parlor, but they soon find some fierce competition in the form of Cheryl and Meryl.

"Double Trouble"

  • Artistic License – Animal Care: Liam's twin goats have to eat ice cream as part of the twin challenges. Goats are herbivorous, which means that dairy products should not be part of their healthy diet.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: The Loud twins realize they need to get Cheryl and Meryl to start fighting after seeing Liam's twin goats get disqualified for fighting.
  • Loophole Abuse: The contest specifically mentions twins, but no mention of these twins being human. Therefore, Liam decided to enter a twin pair of goats from his farm.
  • Mouthscreen: Occurs when Auntie Pam mentions that the winners would get free ice cream for life.
  • Real After All: The Loud twins spend the episode believing that Scoots's twin Mopes is just Scoots in a wig. Then at the end, Mopes turns out to be real.
  • Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony: Auntie Pam has Cheryl and Meryl try to do this after becoming the Double Trouble twins at her ice cream parlour. However, because the two are on bad terms due to their discord the previous night, they start fighting in front of everybody. This causes the two to be disqualified by a furious Auntie Pam.
  • Scary Stinging Swarm: Lana releases a swarm of bees in Cheryl's office as part of the Loud twins' scheme.
  • Spiteful Spoiler: Whilst fighting with Cheryl, Meryl sneeringly tells her what happened in the soap opera finale Cheryl missed out on, much to her shock.
  • Spit Take: The Loud twins and Cheryl and Meryl do this with the ice cream they're eating when they see that Scoots does have a twin.
  • Title Drop: The title refers to a new brand of ice cream advertised in Auntie Pam's Parlor.
  • With a Foot on the Bus: A distraught Meryl is about to leave Royal Woods on a bus. Luckily, Cheryl makes it in time after being driven to the bus stop by the Loud twins.
  • Your Makeup Is Running: Meryl whilst watching the finale of her soap opera.
