When Carl witnesses Ronnie Anne saving a dog, he becomes obsessed with being just like his newfound hero.

- Big Brother Worship / Big Sister Worship: Ronnie Anne becomes Carl’s new idol. It's later revealed that Ronnie Anne used to idolize Bobby when she was Carl's age.
- Call-Back: When Carl tries to stay in Ronnie Anne's room, she mentions that Sergio is already staying in her room, which started in the last episode.
- Irritation Is the Sincerest Form of Flattery: While idolizing Ronnie Anne, he begins following her wherever she goes, copying her interest and hobbies, and even dressing like her. This causes Ronnie Anne great annoyance until her father tells her that she used to be the same way towards Bobby.
- Not So Above It All: When Ronnie Anne complains to her father about how much Carl is annoying her. It turns out that Ronnie Anne used to follow Bobby around and copy him when she was Carl's age.
- Show Within a Show: Carl's favorite show "El Falcón de Fuego".
- Spiders Are Scary: Ronnie Anne pretends to be afraid of a spider in order to look less heroic in front of Carl, only for Bobby to walk in and reveal that he is actually afraid of spiders, causing him to drop Frida's art project and Ronnie Anne having to save it.
- Springtime for Hitler: Ronnie Anne tries to set up situations that'll dissuade Carl from admiring her, only for something to happen to make Ronnie Anne look like more of a hero to Carl.
No Show With the Casagrandes
Ronnie Anne refuses to watch her family's favorite telenovela. But when she sees a clip and becomes hooked, she tries to hide her secret from them.

- Big "NO!"!: Ronnie Anne utters this twice. First, when she misses the final end and a second time, when Hector lets the reveal slip.
- Did Not Think This Through: Ronnie Anne gets her hair cut like Ana Ronalda, but doesn't consider the fact that this might clue her family in to knowing that she likes the show.
- Foreshadowing: When Hector Casagrande was in his bodega, he stated about how Maybelle, the person who'll later pester Ronnie Anne, is difficult for him to deal with.
- Go to Your Room!: When Ronnie Anne is trying to tell her family that she likes "Adios, Ana, Adios" now, they think she still hates the show, and Rosa sends Ronnie Anne and her "bad energy" to her room.
- Identical Stranger: The main character of "Adios, Ana, Adios" looks identical to Ronnie Anne, especially when Ronnie Anne decides to get haircut just like her. The character even has a similar name "Ana Ronalda".
- I Do Not Like Green Eggs and Ham: Ronnie Anne complains about how cheesy the telenovela is, but upon seeing how badass the main character is, she becomes a fan of it.
- Important Haircut: An In-Universe one occurs when Ana Ronalda cuts her hair short with a sword to keep from being recognized. This inspires Ronnie Anne to get the same haircut.
- Soap Within a Show: "Adios, Ana, Adios"
