Lyuba is tired of Lobanov mistreating Levin, and confronts him about it. Lobanov explains his abuse as "attempt to create true man out of Levin". At first Lyuba doesn't believes him, but, when she becomes witness of Levin being abused even by orderlies", she asks Semyon to do exactly that. After several fails, Lyuba suggest Semyon to just insult her: hopefully, this'' would provoke Levin to retaliate. This still fails... until Levin finds out Semyon later, and attacks him while he didn't expected this. Levin screams so loudly, anyone can hear him, confirming to everyone what yes, he is a "true man". He also scares Lobanov enough to force to apology.


Varya and Gleb finally have sex... but it turns out to be not as good as they expected, and Varya is disappointed, but to not harm Gleb's feelings, she simulated orgasm. Unfortunately, Gleb already tell Lobanov what it was "greatest night of her life". Lyuba suggest Vary to continue her deception, but Varya decided istead to ask Kupitman how to deal with inability to have orgasm. Kupitman provides her with some... literature. To not cause any suspicions, she hides it inside medical book.

Gleb is tasked with new patient with jaw dislocation. With his uncle Misha's help he manages to heal this, but then Bykov finds out and provokes patient into another dislocation. Gleb fails to repeat process by himself and gets punished. Then Bykov decides to teach him how to treat such injuries... and Gleb finds out about Varya's lie, when he takes book away from her. He is offended by her lie, but decided to give her another chance.


This episode provides examples of:

  • Beware the Nice Ones: When Lobanov provokes Levin hard enough, Levin retaliates hard enough to scare Semyon.
  • The Bully: Lyuba finally gets tired of Lobanov acting like this towards Levin, and tells Semyon to leave Boris alone. In no uncertain terms. But Lovanov explains what he mistreats Levin no out of evil intentions, but to "train him to be true man". Lyuba at first doesn't buys this, but then, when she sees Levin being abused even by orderlies, she asks Lobanov for do exactly that, in hope what Levin would eventually fights him back.
  • Cheaters Never Prosper: Gleb deals with his patient with uncle Misha's help. But when Bykov provokes patient into another jaw dislocation, Bykov forces Gleb to confirm the truth.
  • Extreme Doormat: Levin acts like this full episode; even if he tries to argue, he quickly gets overwhelmed and gives up. Lyuba tries (with Lobanov's help) to snap him out of it.

  • Their First Time: Gleb and Varya finally had sex between this and previous episode... but, as it turns out, Varya was not satisfied by this. She to deceived Gleb about this, to not harm his feelings, but now she tries to find a way to defuse the situation with minimal collateral damage.
  • I Have This Friend...: Varya asks Kupitman for help in this manner. He, obviously, is not fooled, but plays along to not embarrass her further.
  • The Immodest Orgasm: Varya... went too far in attempt to fake her orgasm during her night with Gleb, and now Gleb thinks it was "best night of her life". If he finds out, this would be... harmful.
  • Kick the Dog: Theres no reason for Gleb to eat that pizza in front of his patient, knowing what this patient can't eat it because of his jaw dislocation, besides just don't caring about him.
    • Bykov provokes patient into another jaw dislocation, just to teach Romanenko a lesson.
  • No Respect Guy: Levin is so pathetic what he is mistreated by everyone, from other interns to orderlies.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Had Varya just didn't lie to Gleb in the first place, it cold have been much less painful for Gleb in the end.
  • Unusual Euphemism: Gleb and Varya call sex "fitness" when near other people. No one is fooled by this.
  • Wouldn't Hit a Girl: When all Lobanov's attempt to provoke Levin into retaliation fails, Lyuba suggests him to just insult her in front of Levin. But Semyon extremely uncomfortable with this.
