Fairly OddBaby is the fifth Made-for-TV Movie of The Fairly OddParents!.

The movie centers on the birth of Cosmo and Wanda's new baby Poof — being the first baby born in Fairy World in thousands of years (with Cosmo being the original last baby) — who possess large amounts of magic. It's up to Timmy, his fairies, and Jorgen to keep Poof safe from the Anti-Fairies and the Pixies.

Fairly OddBaby contains examples of:

  • Baby Fever Trigger: "Fairly OddBaby" begins with Cosmo and Wanda getting distracted and overemotional when they see families with babies at the park, to the point of neglecting their godson Timmy. Because they are fairies, and they are immortal, babies have been banned as to not overpopulate Fairy Land, and has been that way for at least thousands of years note . Timmy finds a loophole by wishing for them to have a baby. It works, and the baby is the first one that fairies have had in millennia.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: The Anti-Fairies and Pixies, who plot to work together to steal Poof and use his magic to destroy Fairy World and the Earth.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The burritos. Which Timmy feeds Poof to fix the destruction Anti-Cosmo and HP caused.
  • Counter-Productive Warning: When Cosmo and Poof go missing, the others begin a frantic search for them. Timmy, Wanda, and Jorgen then break into both Anti-Fairy World and Pixie World while both villain groups are coming up with an evil plan, and unintentionally inform them that they could use the raw untapped magic power of a fairy baby to take over the universe.
  • Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: Wanda and Timmy have on when Cosmo tells them the baby's coming.
Wanda: Aw, did you hear that, Timmy? The baby's coming.
[Beat and then it sinks in]
Timmy and Wanda: [realizing] The baby's coming?! AAAAAAAHHH!!!!
  • Failed a Spot Check: Jorgen always mistakes the fake Poof doll for the real baby, which comes in handy in the end when he tries to take Poof away from Cosmo and Wanda, they tricked him into taking the fake doll instead.
  • Go to the Euphemism: Jorgen, suffering from gastrointestinal distress after eating food (namely the burritos) at Cosmo's baby shower, claims he has to "file a report with the Great White Round One".
  • I Surrender, Suckers: Timmy's plan was initially believed to disguise themselves in goofy costumes to fool their enemies and infiltrate Anti-Comso's fortress, which only ends up getting them captured. Timmy was counting on it.
  • Last-Minute Baby Naming: Poof doesn't receive his name until the very end, when Timmy decides to name him that because that's the only thing he ever says.
  • Loophole Abuse: Downplayed; Timmy checks Da Rules and sees there is no rule against wishing for his fairies to have a baby. When Jorgen stops this wish, he checks his own copy of Da Rules, thinking there is indeed a new rule against it, only to find there isn't one. He realizes he made a note to himself reminding him to add the rule, but never officially put it in, so he allows the wish to be made, albeit with a warning.
  • MacGuffin Super-Person: Poof, the titular fairy baby. According to Jorgen, a fairy baby's magic is so unstable and unpredictable that they would be catastrophic to the universe, hence why the Anti-Faires and Pixies are after him. Even Jorgen wants to take the baby away from his parents and godbrother for himself. Jorgen, Anti-Cosmo, and HP are so relentless that Timmy decides to take Poof back to Dimmsdale to protect him while Cosmo and Wanda distract their pursuers.
  • Mister Seahorse: Cosmo begins pregnant with his and Wanda's baby. When Timmy question it, Wanda explains that in the Fairy World, male fairies carry the offspring.
  • New Baby Episode: The whole special centers on the birth of Poof. The title card even is the page image for this trope!
  • Omnicidal Maniac: Anti-Cosmo and HP are at their absolute worst here. They plot to use Poof's unstable magic to destroy Fairy World, the Earth, and the entire universe solely For the Evulz.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Timmy hits his after being treated as a slave to Cosmo and the fairies during the baby shower (and getting barfed on all the time) that it motivates him to wish Cosmo to get lost with the unborn baby, setting up the rest of the plot:
Timmy: That's IT! I'M SICK OF THIS! I'm sick of the shower! I'm sick of the mood swings! I'm sick of the cravings! [Cosmo barfs on Timmy again, who shakes it off] AND I'M SICK OF THE VOMIT! That was the last straw!
Jorgen: Um, actually Turner, you're out of straws.
Timmy: AND I'M SICK OF THE WHOLE BABY WISH!!! I wish Cosmo would just get lost!
    [Everyone gasps]
  • Stating the Simple Solution: When Dr. Rip Studwell shows he has no idea how to get Poof out, due to it being so long, Timmy asks if they could just wish it out of Cosmo. Which actually works.
  • Take That!: To The Bee Gees. This episode references how The Bee Gees became one of the most reviled music groups in history after disco ended.
  • Tempting Fate: When Cosmo goes into labor, he tells them all to remain calm and get him to the fairy hospital, so they all can enjoy the beautiful moment. Cut to the Fairy Hospital and...
Cosmo: Ahhhh! THIS IS NOT A BEAUTIFUL MOMENT!!!
  • Wham Episode: Cosmo and Wanda have a new child that becomes a new main character.
