Rarity and company struggle to try and free Chibi Moon from her chain bindings while Nightmare Godzilla goes on a rampage trying to get at Starlight Glimmer. While Starlight Glimmer is succeeding in staying out of reach by him via frantic use of teleportation spells, nothing she uses to fight back is working. Nightmare Godzilla just walks through every assault she launches and shows no signs of taking damage or slowing down, burning and walking his way through multiple buildings to get at Starlight. Soon half of Our Town is on fire or starting to crumble. Slowly but surely, the sheer panic and terror Nightmare Godzilla is inflicting on Starlight starts to wear down the wrath needed to fuel her dark magic and keep King Ghidorah's mind control working. When an exhausted Starlight Glimmer lures Nightmare Godzilla inside of her own house and then drops the entire structure onto him while teleporting to safety, she had a brief moment of tearful elation. However a thin purple beam of plasma shoots out of the ruins and swings around in an arc, cutting the house off it's foundations. To Starlight's sheer terror, Nightmare Godzilla gets up while lifting the entire building over his head. The sensation causes her to scream in pain and fear, breaking Ghidorah's mental influence as her fear overpowered his subconscious inserted compulsion for her to keep fighting. Nightmare Godzilla throws the house at her while Moonbeam, having freed Chibi Moon with the others, breaks away from Rarity and Night Glider to try and save her sister.

Just before impact however, Nightmare Godzilla fires a beam over their heads and cleaves the house in half, diverting it from crushing them. But as he sneers in hatred and smashes his way through another house to get to them, a streak of blue flies in from the plateau and smashes into Godzilla. Xenilla arrives and demands to know what is going on.

In a flashback, Xenilla has been keeping tabs on Princess Cadance's pregnancy diligently as he is earnest about his new vow to protect the Crystal Empire and the Imperial Royal Family; of which Cadance and Shining Armor's unborn child counts. However he's more than a bit eccentric in doing so, seemingly appearing out of random from Cadance's closest while she's resting in bed and checking her over. Despite some chock, Cadance is touched by his honesty, but changes her tune to a deadpan when he tries to get her to eat a chemical concoction he's calculated to provide optimal nutrition to the child in her womb he is overly specific in denying are steroids. After a comedic back and forth, Xenilla abruptly freezes when he senses his brother and rushes back into the closet. When he does so, he walks out of a magical doorway in a workshop warehouse. He, Key Ring, and Sunburst had been collaborated on creating an enchanted doorway that functions by linking the doorway connected to Xenilla's crystal array to any door it is linked to. The linkage requires the doors be related by maker, composition, or vicinity, which is how Xenilla used it to walk in on Cadance's room for a test. Xenilla is in a full panic and says he needs to get to the plateau Our Town is on, pronto, knowing his brother is in danger. Key Ring and Sunburst are shocked and cautious, citing they've only been able to so far make a "door jump" across the empire, not somewhere over a hundred kilometers away; which could be extremely unsafe to preform.

Xenilla's insistence and desperation show through and, determined to help their colleague, Sunburst and Key Ring make the proper adjustments and try to find a connectable door as close as they can to the plateau. They manage to find one on the back of a train passing by the plateau and ready the door. Xenilla thanks his comrades dearly and rushes through, appearing in the back of the train he promptly flies off and zooms to the plateau as fast as he can.
