Bobby and Oliver jump to all sorts of wild conclusions when they learn about Mike's firm being contracted by government for a construction project and Sam's plans to expand his store. Of course, the two boys don't have any of the facts.
Tropes present in this episode:
- Dirty Communists: Mr. Gronsky is misidentified by Bobby and Oliver as a Russian spy out to use Sam's store as his base for a Soviet takeover.
- Locked in a Freezer: Bobby and Oliver lock Sam and Mr. Gronsky in a freezer, convinced they were "making final plans for the Soviet takeover." (Sam was actually explaining his need for a larger freezer to Gronsky.)
- Not What It Looks Like: Sam and Mr. Gronsky conferring over "the plans." The audience is in the know the whole time the "plans" are for Sam expanding his store and was trying to keep mum until his plans were finalized and had gotten all the necessary approvals. Bobby and Oliver mix this up with Mike working concurrently on a top-secret government project and a visit from a government agent (who was merely conducting a background check and authorizing security clearance for Mike).
