Luther Braxton Conclusion (No. 21) provides examples of:

  • A Taste of Their Own Medicine: Braxton brings up an incident in Belgrade where he hung one of Red's employees, Henkel, by one of Red's ties. Red hangs Braxton in turn.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: According to Dr. Selma Orchard, somebody had suppressed some of Liz's memories at some point.
    • Luther Braxton had Dr. Orchard suppress his memory of an instance of friendly fire in Khafji at some point in the past.
  • Memory-Wiping Crew: Dr. Selma Orchard has developed a method for erasing memories. Considering there that she implies someone else had Liz's memory wiped as a child, there is a likelihood that there is at least another party with similar abilities.
  • Repressed Memories: Liz's repressed memory of the fire is focal to the episode and we get little hints to their nature. At the end of the episode, it's revealed that the memories were repressed intentionally by someone.
  • Water Torture: Luthor Braxton has Agent Keen waterboarded in order to get the location of The Fulcrum from her. He continues even after discovering she does not remember anything. It's an especially painful scene to watch as you can hear her drowning in the background.
