Octavia and Diyoza make their way to the mysterious anomaly in search of the Old Man. Meanwhile, Murphy has an offer for Emori.

  • A Day in the Limelight: Emori gets a lot of attention in this episode.
  • Absolute Xenophobe: Madi's plan to save Clarke is to kill all the Primes. She kills several before getting caught.
  • Actually, I Am Him: Xavier is Gabriel.
  • Determinator: Bellamy will stop at nothing until Clarke is saved.
  • Heroic BSoD: Seeing a memory of Bellamy Bound and Gagged in the pits shakes Octavia to her core and leaves her sobbing.
  • Like an Old Married Couple: Diyoza describes her and Octavia as this word for word.
    • Foreshadowing: in light of season 7, where Diyoza and Octavia spend ten years on Skyring raising Hope together.
  • Mad Scientist: Abby is beginning to give off his vibe, being willing to sacrifice a "null" who came willingly (but has been brainwashed since he was born) to save Kane. When Kane stares at her in horror upon realizing what happened, she just mutters, "I saved you."
  • Mama Bear: Josie points out how brilliant it is of the Anomaly to conjure up an image of unborn baby Hope to get Dioyza to come to it, claiming that of course she would go take care of her child.
  • My Greatest Failure: The Anomaly shows "our biggest fears, out deepest desires," and conjures an image of Bellamy, bound and gagged like he was before Octavia threw him in the pits. It send her into a brief Heroic BSoD.
  • Rewarded as a Traitor Deserves: When Josie holds a knife to Murphy's throat, Bellamy straight-up calls him a traitor and asks why they should care what happens to him. Ultimately, they take the risk, and she slices his leg instead, leaving him to bleed out with Emori by his side. They're captured by the Sanctum guards.
  • The Medic: Jackson has officially been promoted to brain surgeon in order to save Clarke.
  • The Undead: Kane's body is definitely dead, by Abby uploads his brain to a mind drive and revives him using a "null" she made into a nightblood who willingly sacrificed himself.
  • Wacky Marriage Proposal: More like "wildly inappropriate immortality proposal," but John Murphy officially asks Emori to live forever with him, and gets down on one knee to do so. He even lampshades how ridiculous it is by stating that he'd wanted to do it on a balcony with a nice view.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Jordan calls out Bellamy for his single-minded pursuit to save Clarke will writing Delilah off as dead.
