Team Gurren's search for the Beastmen's home base leads them to a resort complete with hot springs where they are reunited with Kiyoh, Kinon and Kiyal (their brother Kittan is elsewhere.). The resort turns out to be a beastman trap, but Simon and Kamina, with some help, manage to form Gurren Lagann to defeat the Beastmen.
Victory is short-lived, as they are attacked by Viral.

Tropes in this episode:
- Damsel out of Distress: Yoko, Darry, Kiyoh, Kinon and Kiyal had been placed in a cage, but Yoko manages to shoot away at their cage so they can escape and beat up their captors.
- Killer Rabbit: Quite literally, the spa girls are rabbit beastmen.
- Hot Springs Episode: Unfortunately for Team Gurren, it was a trap.
- Naked People Are Funny: Kamina with Boota hanging onto his crotch, for starters.
- Our Werewolves Are Different: So apparently beastmen can take human form as showcased here with the spa staff (and quite literally with head of the spa who turns out to be a wolf). Oddly, this is never really brought up again.
