Recap / Teen Titans Go S 1 E 26 The Left Leg

Go To

Cyborg creates a huge Titan Robot for all five of the Titans, each of whom controls a different body part. Even though Cyborg tells Robin that everybody’s part is as good as the other, Robin gripes about his role as the left leg and makes some improvements to his section of the robot to make sure that the left leg is the most powerful part of all, but he takes it a little to far.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Gizmo leads an army of giant robots into Jump City.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Robin convinces Cyborg to test their new robot...on Kitten, who's robbing a bank.
  • Godzilla Threshold: Cyborg intends the robot to be used only for serious situations. It gets properly used during the fight against Gizmo.
  • It's All About Me: Robin of course. He couldn't stand not being in the most important part of the robot so he 'upgraded' the left leg by taking all of the weapons from the other robot parts, leaving the other Titans unable to do anything but watch him.
  • Karma Houdini: Kitten gets away with the money she stole from the bank due to Robin being a jerk.
  • Leader Forms the Head: Robin thought he was at the head, but he gets kicked to the left leg because Cyborg built the robot, so he gets to be the head.
  • Right Hand Versus Left Hand: Rather, all other limbs vs. the left leg, but their bickering gives Kitty the chance to make a clean getaway, and later, Gizmo uses the opportunity to blindside them.
  • Screaming at Squick: The rest of the Titans scream in horror at the sight of Robin's new leg.
  • Spit Take: Beast Boy spits his pizza out at seeing Robin's new leg.
  • This Cannot Be!: Gizmo shouts out "Impossible!" when Robin separates the left leg of the robot to take him down.
  • Training Montage: Robin puts his own left leg through an intense workout, making it bigger and muscular than the other parts of his body.
