Tugs E 6 Warrior Recap

When Captain Starr needs a strong boat to help with a contract hauling rocks, Warrior is taken off garbage duty- and finds himself having to prove that he can do more than just cause accidents.

Tropes in this episode include:

  • Batman Gambit: Zorran says rude things about Warrior in front of Big Mac in order to make Big Mac so angry that he forgets his barge is still loading and becoming too heavy to stay afloat.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Warrior coming in to save Izzy Gomez from capsizing and push him off the rocks.
  • Blatant Lies:
Warrior (as he bumps into the dock): ‘Course I’m careful!
  • Character Title: It has one.
  • The Dividual: All four of the shrimper boats speak and react to Warrior in unison.
  • End-of-Episode Silliness: After Warrior proves his worth by saving Izzy Gomez, he’s so tired that he falls asleep while towing, and promptly bumps into Old Rusty. And then Captain Starr ends the episode with this:
Warrior might’ve bumped into things, but I couldn’t’ve done without him. He was a valuable member of my Star Tug team. A striker, you might call him.
  • Laser-Guided Karma:
    • After Zip and Zug refuse to help Ten Cents steady Izzy, the coast guard boat calls their behavior despicable and revokes the Z-Stacks’ chance at the rock contract.
    • Izzy turns down Big Mac and Warrior's offer for a tow into port, wanting to go in by himself for free despite the fact that doing so is both illegal and extremely dangerous. He gets himself stranded on a rock formation and has to be rescued by the Star Tugs. The Coast Guard also finds out and gives Izzy a hefty fine for trying to sneak in without a tow.
  • Lazy Mexican: Izzy is a Mexican banana tramper who spends a lot of his time sleeping. He does not like when the Star Tugs wake him up to try to tow him into port for a good price, and prefers to go in by himself for free despite the fact that doing so is both illegal and extremely dangerous.
  • Stupid Slothfulness: Izzy is taking a nap when Big Mac and Warrior wake him up to offer him a tow into Bigg City port for a good price. Izzy turns down their offer and decides to go into port without a tow despite the fact that it's both illegal and extremely dangerous. Izzy strands himself on a rock formation and has to be saved by Ten Cents, Top Hat, Warrior, and Big Mac. After he is rescued, the Coast Guard fines him for going into port without a tow. All of what happened to Izzy could have been avoided had he let Big Mac or Warrior tow him.
  • Watch Where You're Going!: The Shrimpers say this to Warrior when he cuts across them. Warrior apologizes and tells them they should look where they're going, as he's in a hurry. The Shrimpers tell him they're not going anywhere, because they're busy shrimping.
