Recap of Supernatural
Season 13, Episode 11:

Written By: Davy Perez

Directed By: Amyn Kaderali

Air date: January 25, 2018

Donna calls the Winchesters when her niece Wendy disappears while driving through Nebraska. Sam and Dean agree to help even though it's not their kind of case. Or is it?

  • As the Good Book Says...: Donna sways Pastor Don from calling a lawyer in part because she knows an Evil Lawyer Joke from the Bible by heart.
  • Dirty Cop: The "Butterfly Killer" turns out to be an FBI Agent who's formed an alliance with literal monsters.
  • Find the Cure!: For Doug's vampirism after Marlon infects him.
  • Internal Reveal: Doug has never known about monsters and hunting before. When he finds out, and after he's temporarily stricken with vampirism, it ends their relationship.
  • The Butterflly's victims are tortured on a live feed and their meat is auctioned off to online bidders.
  • OOC Is Serious Business: Dean reads Sam's sleeping late and his harshness with Donna as a sign that something is wrong. Sam says he's just being realistic.
  • Sinister Minister: Pastor Don Hankey is a mild example. Definitely a creepy ephebephile, but not involved with the kidnappings.

  • Soundtrack Dissonance: The slaughters and other nasty business in the Butterfly's lair are accompanied by romantic soul music.
  • To Serve Man: Clegg's business is based on monsters who are passing and can't hunt for their own food being willing to pay for gourmet cuts of human.
