A group of aliens task Mario with the resurrection of their President: Greg the Alien. Mario, Meggy, Tari, and Bob must travel across an alien world to being Greg back.
- All for Nothing: It turns out the altar meant to bring back Greg is cursed, forcing Mario and co. to destroy it to save Bob, meaning that neither Greg nor Desti can come back in the foreseeable future.
- Hope Spot: The entire episode plays out like Greg—and possibly Desti—will come Back from the Dead at the end through a magic altar. Sadly, said altar is cursed, nearly kills Bob, and has to be destroyed to save him, keeping Greg and Desti dead in the foreseeable future.
- Power at a Price: The altar seemingly meant to resurrect Greg corrupts his corpse and slowly kills Bob by stealing his limbs, forcing everyone else to destroy it.
- Sudden Downer Ending: The resurrection magic turns out to be cursed and is destroyed to save Bob from being killed by it, meaning Greg remains dead and Meggy's hopes of Desti's return are dashed. Although Meggynote and Tari accept that bringing people Back from the Dead isn't something they should be messing around with, it's still a bitter pill for the gang to swallow (especially Mario, who keeps trying to bring Greg back by smacking Bob with his corpse to get the magic out).
