After arriving in Britannia, Miyafuji formally joins the Strike Witches with the rank of Sergeant. Britannian Sergeant Lynette Bishop is assigned to give Miyafuji a tour of their base at Dover, and bring her up to speed on the current situation with the team. It quickly becomes apparent that Bishop suffers from self-esteem issues and thinks she is useless to the team. As Miyafuji and Bishop struggle through training, the Neuroi launch an attack.
Tropes in this episode:
- Asleep in Class: Sanya is the traditional example. Lucchini goes one step further and actually sleeps while lying on top of the desk.
- Defensive Feint Trap: The Neuroi creates a false decoy to lure the main Strike Witches away from their base, leaving just Minna, Eila, Yoshika, and Lynette to defend against the main attack.
- Establishing Character Moment: The initial briefing formally introducing the rest of the team has this for most of the cast in rapid succession.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Perrine gets angry at Miyafuji's relationship with Sakamoto and storms out in the middle of a briefing. For some reason, Minna just shrugs it off and lets her get away with this.
- Skinship Grope: After Miyafuji's first briefing, Lucchini grabs her chest from behind as a consolation prize.
