When Plankton's pet amoeba gives birth to amoeba puppies, Plankton trains them to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula with a clueless SpongeBob's help.

"Spot Returns" contains examples of:

  • Cuteness Proximity: Karen is so happy to see Spot's new puppies that she experiences an overload and spends most of the episode undergoing a system reboot. Once she's back online, she's quite pleased to see even more amoeba puppies.
  • Advertisement:
  • Pie in the Face: Comic Relief Puppy does this.
  • Surprise Litter of Puppies: Spot gives birth to millions of amoeba puppies after finding out through X-Ray that Spot is pregnant.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Spot isn't seen after giving birth.
  • Your Tomcat Is Pregnant: Plankton is surprised to discover that Spot is pregnant since he assumed Spot was a boy, until Karen reveals that amoebas can produce asexually.

The Check-Up

Mr. Krabs needs to get his physical or else the Krusty Krab will be shut down, but he's too afraid to take it.


"The Check-Up" contains examples of:

  • Afraid of Doctors: Mr. Krabs, which keeps him from wanting to get a physical.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: Squidward being told to give an ink sample is treated the same as giving a urine sample.
  • The Inspector Is Coming: Squidward and SpongeBob have to give Mr. Krabs a physical before the nurse returns to the Krusty Krab.
  • Oh, Crap!: After SpongeBob realizes he set the X-ray machine to take 25,000 pictures of Mr. Krabs.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here!: Mr. Krabs does this rather than take a physical and again to get out of paying Larry.
  • Shadow Discretion Shot: Done at the beginning while SpongeBob is getting a physical done behind a curtain, freaking out Mr. Krabs. Not helped by SpongeBob's screams of excitement.
  • Sickly Green Glow: Happens to Mr. Krabs after the X-ray machine overloads.
  • Advertisement:
  • Totem Pole Trench: SpongeBob and Squidward do this while disguised as a tailor.
