Kala visits Wolfgang while he is in the hospital at Felix's bedside. Wolfgang recounts how the two met as kids in detention, and of life with his drunken brutal father. Daniela returns to Joaquin and his abusive behavior to protect Lito. Hernando breaks up with Lito for letting her do it. Sun defeats a gang of prison-yard bullies and is placed in solitary confinement. Back to Iceland, Riley visits with Will, and she tells him of growing up there, of her famous pianist father, and her deceased mother, before sharing a kiss. The group of bandits from the matatu encounter demand that Capheus brings Amondi to them. Will finds surveillance footage of Bolger leaving the nursery with a gun. Will visits Nomi to the bemusement of Amanita. They discover the company behind Metzger and the Angelica and Nyles incidents is the "Biologic Preservation Organization" (BPO). Whispers arrives with police to take Nomi into custody. She escapes with the help of Amanita, Will, Sun, and Capheus. Will is suspended from his job for ignoring orders. Rajan's father meets with Kala at the temple to tell her to cancel the wedding; they are ambushed by religious fundamentalists who stab him repeatedly.

- Car Fu: Capheus manages to flip the Smart car he and Nomi borrowed and land it on its wheels so they can keep going.
- Clothing-Concealed Injury: Daniela shows up to meet Lito and Hernando wearing Sunglasses at Night. Hernando immediately works out that something is wrong and takes her sunglasses off to reveal a fresh black eye courtesy of Joaquin.
- Dingy Trainside Apartment: When Riley visits Will's apartment she wonders how he can sleep when his bedroom overlooks the traintracks. Will claims that you get used to the sound eventually.
- Does Not Drive: Riley mentions to Sven that she "doesn't drive anymore", indicating that she knows how but can't bring herself to do it anymore. Nomi on the other hand genuinely doesn't know how to drive and has to rely on Capheus to drive for her while escaping BPO.
- Forced to Watch: Capheus tries to turn away when Silas cuts off the hands of an employee that tampered with the drugs Silas charged him with selling. The henchman standing behind Capheus grabs his chin and turns his head back to look at the man's bloodied arms.
- Grievous Bottley Harm: In one flashback young Felix cracks a bottle over Anton Bogdanow's head to stop him beating Wolfgang.
- Shout-Out: Capheus cites Hard Target as the inspiration for his Car Fu.
- Title Drop: Another line in Lito's film. Repeated by Hernando when he breaks it off with Lito due to Lito letting Daniela return to Joaquin.
- This Is Reality: Captain Sobczak does this while he calls Will out on playing loose with the rules and regulations:Sobczak: Look, Gorski, this isn't a movie or a fucking TV show.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Hernando calls Lito out on prioritsing his career over his friend's wellbeing and dumps him.
- Women's Mysteries: Amanita stalls the police by faking that she's changing her tampon, correctly guessing that the male officers will be too grossed out to push the issue.
