Entertainingly Wrong: When Tigerclaw tracks the Hamatos to a butcher-shop, he thinks that the butcher-shop is where Yoshi works, only to be quickly proven wrong when they spring their trap.
In Spite of a Nail: While Tigerclaw wasn't taken by the Kraathatragon in this version, he still loses an eye, this time by Shredder's hand.
Pragmatic Adaptation: While it is implied that "Pizza Face" was real (with the rest of them thinking Mikey was dreaming), here it was just a nightmare Mikey was having (even though a small part of him does wonder if it was real or not).
Stupid Evil: Apparently, it has become a regular thing for the Purple Dragons to try and enforce a Protection Racket on Murakami, only for them to get their asses handed to them by the Hamatos, the Purple Dragons never taking the hint. Granted, this time they were baiting the Hamato children out.
Tracking Device: Tigerclaw managed to slip one on Mikey before letting him escape, thinking that he will lead them to the Hamato household. Fortunately, Metalhead found it before this happened and they managed to lead him into a trap.
