Recap / SM G4s Mario Bloopers The Final Piece

Go To

With Mario captured, Eldtrich Axol reveals his final plan. What will our heroes do?

The SMGs and the Glitchy Gang attempt to save Mario and Axol, and stop Zero's master plan before it's too late.

  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: At the very end of the episode, Ax0l mutates even further into a larger form which also disintegrates his lower half after touching Mario's crystal.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Despite our heroes' best efforts, Zero manages to incapacitate them all and begin his ultimate plan of destroying the universe and remaking it.
  • Cliffhanger: The destruction of the universe is underway, Ax0l evolves into an even bigger form, and our heroes are chained up and forced to watch. And like "Mario and the Backrooms", there's no hint to how he can be stopped.
  • Darker and Edgier: This is easily one of the darkest SMG4 episodes ever created. There are practically no funny moments and Zero manages to win and is already in the process of destroying the universe. Also, Mario spends the entire episode unconscious. Zero further corrupts Axol's body into an even more horrifying form. Add to effect that there are no silly promotions at the beginning of the episode and once again no music playing at the end.
  • Darkest Hour: The heroes are clearly in no position to fight, Mario's energy is absorbed by Zero to create his new universe, and we're not sure if Axol will survive.
  • Deadly Euphemism: Zero promises to return Axol's body once he's done making his universe. Given what he's done to it, that probably won't end well.
  • Determinator: Before, just one Guardian Pod was enough to seal SMG0 away. Now he gets attacked by the power of all four USBs combined, but this time his desire to live overrides that power.
  • Downer Ending: Probably the biggest in the show’s history. It doesn’t get much worse than the impending destruction of the universe.
  • Dying Declaration of Love: When Melony enters Axol's mind, he is in so much doubt that he'll come out of these events alive, that he gives Melony the manga love letter he made to her. The next episode proves he was right.
  • Exact Words: Zero promises to release Axol once he's done rebuilding his own universe. However, given that remaking his universe will destroy the SMG4 universe and kill everyone in it, including Axol....
  • Forced to Watch: Everyone is in chains, witnessing Zero making a new universe and transforming into his One-Winged Angel form.
  • Hope Spot: The meme guardians use the power of all four USBs to attack SMG0. It seems as if they're finally going to free Axol from Zero...then Zero Turns Red and cancels the extraction. Of course he Turns Red.
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: We see Melony constantly trying to reach Axol several times, and other characters try to invoke this trope. It doesn't work, and Zero seems to have definitely gained full possession of Axol this time around.
  • New Powers as the Plot Demands: Apparently, Tari's arm can turn into a rocket. This trope is lampshaded by her.
Tari: I DIDN'T KNOW I COULD DO THAT!
  • One-Winged Angel: After touching Mario's crystal, Ax0l falls into the moat of the castle. He then suddenly rises back up and goes full-on Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever, with his legs disintegrated just to add to the Body Horror.
  • Or Was It a Dream?: Axol briefly teleports Melony's mind into his to confess his love by showing her the manga he made. When Melony wakes up, the manga is still in her hands...but Axol is still corrupted.
  • The Reveal:
    • Zero's ultimate plan is use Mario and the power of the Guardian Pods to create a new universe in his own image, destroying the SMG4 universe in the process. He also plans to make Mario his new avatar.
    • The last panel of Axol's comic is blank, symbolizing that it's Melony's choice whether to say yes or no.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Utopia Justifies the Means: Zero has no problems destroying this universe as his own new universe will be "nice and peaceful".
  • Wham Line: "I HAVE AN AVATAR OF MY OWN AGAIN!"
  • Would Hit a Girl: Zero kicking Melony in the stomach has almost every member of the gang decide all bets are off. Too bad Zero is too powerful.
