    1100- 1124

SCP-1100 - Gaia's Blood

SCP-1100 is a highly dangerous organic substance that causes anomalous transformations in natural plant and animal life. Despite being composed primarily of heavy proteins, 1100 will spontaneously vaporize into aerosol form and can also be transmitted by direct contact with infected subjects, pollen, dander, and other excretions. Infected organic matter will transform over the course of 24 hours, with such as examples as fruit becoming filled with explosive or caustic substances that burst violently when disturbed, vines gaining muscle-like internal structures that allow them to grasp and crush living human prey, docile prey animals becoming increasingly strong and aggressive, and household pets becoming feral and hostile to human handlers.
  • Everything Trying to Kill You: The substance induces mutations in plants and animals that cause them to harm or even kill humans, whether directly (such as influencing predators to attack humans) or indirectly (causing livestock flesh to become indigestible or even poisonous to humans).
  • Gaia's Vengeance: It's implied at the end that the Earth itself is producing the substance.

SCP-1101 - An Interesting Topic

SCP-1101 is a marble pedestal with an octagonal top, which no unusual properties until an object is placed atop it in the presence of more than one person. In this situation, any comment made relating to the object by an individual present will start a heated discussion. During the discussion, affected individuals are compelled to continue until broad agreement is reached with one individual. The "winner" will take the object atop 1101, which signals the end of discussion. If the affected individuals do not come to an agreement, a winner will be selected after a certain length of time and end the event. The event is a memetic hazard, as all individuals who hear an event in progress or see 1101 at the time are compelled to join, including individuals viewing the event remotely.

SCP-1102 - The Blue Ridge Phenomenon

SCP-1102 is a phenomenon localized in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The exact cause of the effect is unknown, as no external factor has affected any facet of 1102. The effect occurs only at night, during periods of rain or snow, and targets human corpses within a small, randomly selected area. For each reasonably intact corpse in the area, an animated likeness of the original person will appear. It is unknown if the resulting entities are the same as the original person, or if they are completely new organisms. The entities instinctively know where the nearest group is, and the larger the group, the more likely they are to attempt integrating. All entities completely vanish at some point in the same night that their appearance occurs, usually shortly before sunrise.

SCP-1103 - Dr. Wondertainment Young Surgeon's Transplant Kit

SCP-1103 is a set of commercially packed human body parts labelled SCP-1103-1-1 to 1-11. All parts contained are vacuum-packed on plastic trays, with the label "Dr. Wondertainment's Young Surgeon's Transplant Kit" and a price tag. All packages contain an instruction leaflet, a set of single-use plastic gloves, and a tube labelled "Dr. Wondertainment's Tube of Wonderlube®" (designated SCP-1103-2), filled with a translucent, viscous yellow-green liquid of resembling blood plasma in composition. DNA analysis has shown that the samples come from distinct individuals of varying race and gender, despite their uniform appearance. Applying the "Wonderlube" to organic tissues results in the temporary loosening of intercellular bonds, accompanied by mild fluorescence for 5 minutes, after which the surface regains its previous structure. If another tissue sample is brought into contact with the loose cell layer during this period, the surfaces fuse together. Over the following 6 to 14 hours, the interface between the two develops a functioning blood vessel network.

SCP-1104 - Nose Crab

SCP-1104 is a species of crustacean whose lifecycle comprises at least two distinct phases, the first being a larval stage approximately 0.4mm in diameter. At irregular intervals, larval instances are expelled from on-site lava tubes at concentrations up to 200 individuals per cubic meter, remaining airborne for as long as 14 hours. When inhaled, the larvae will adhere to nasal mucus, where they excrete an array of receptor antagonists that suppress inflammation and implantation of further larvae. Over a period of 6-8 months, 1104 will grow and extend appendages through the host's ethmoidal canals, then burst through the ocular cavity upon maturation.
  • Eye Scream: It exits its host through their ocular cavity. It also applies pressure to its host's optic nerve to cause visual disturbances in order to get them to go to a source of hydrogen sulphide.

SCP-1105 - Neural Polypore

SCP-1105 is a species of mobile fungus which can grow into forms and structures beneficial to the colony. 1105 appears to grow most readily upon dead plant matter, and has been observed to become motile in an attempt to reach such matter. Once the fungus locates suitable plant matter, it will undergo a mitotic phase to form a number of mycelia, eventually covering the plant matter and mechanically breaking it down prior to consumption. After a sufficient mass has accumulated, the collective mass will dissociate into 4-6 smaller masses of equal size, referred to as SCP-1105-1. These individual masses display independent motivations, though they are apparently capable of assisting each other with tasks, as well as the ability to alter their morphology said tasks.

SCP-1106 - "Grow Your Own Child" Kit

SCP-1106 is a cylindrical chamber composed of an alloy determined to be roughly 96% iron. During its "standby" phase, 1106 is inactive and its top cover will be open, granting access to its interior. When a human tissue sample is placed inside the chamber at any point, 1106 will close. Three months after closing, the chamber will reopen and produce a human infant genetically identical to the sample donor. The products of 1106, hereby referred to as SCP-1106-1, in the majority of all cases will develop normally and be indistinguishable from a naturally born human. A small portion of 1106-1 will be born with marked defects.
  • Artificial Human: It's a machine that produces babies from any human tissue sample placed inside it. These are genetically identical to the donor.
  • Clone Degeneration: In some cases, the resulting clone babies are born with noticeable defects.

SCP-1107 - A Signal

SCP-1107 is a radio signal observed largely in extreme-low-frequencies. The low frequency and intensity of this signal means it is extremely susceptible to interference from sources of particle-based and electromagnetic radiation. As a result, it can only be reliably distinguished from background radiation when the receiver is at extreme distance from any source of interference. The signal exists as a series of low frequency, amplitude modulated carrier waves. Despite this low data transmission rate, 1107 clearly represents a transmission of intelligible data within the solar system. Triangulation of the signals by probes has determined that they are emitted by objects found in the Kuiper belt on the outskirts of the solar system.

SCP-1108 - A Swamp God

SCP-1108 is a meteorological phenomenon which has been observed along the east coast of Florida. Most observers at ground-level experience 1108 as a heavy fog, with no evident anomalous properties. From an elevation above 450m, the formation reveals a distinct shape best described as resembling an alligator. 1108 most frequently appears a few hours before dawn, often emerging from an existing cloud-bank at a dew point and temperature consistent with fog formation. For 6 hours, 1108 traverses an area of approximately 50km in length, always toward the bordering Atlantic. In areas directly overshadowed by 1108's passage, adult alligators have been found congregating in the dozens, far from areas highly populated by the native reptiles.
  • Misplaced Wildlife: It causes American alligators to appear in areas where they normally wouldn't appear, going so far as to appear in swimming pools.
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: It's a cloud formation shaped like an American alligator that's even capable of moving like one, and it causes alligators to appear in the areas that it's passed over.

SCP-1109 - The Painkiller

SCP-1109 is a black leather medical bag with a metal fastener over the opening and a leather carrying handle. The anomalous effects of 1109 become apparent when any tool with a sharpened blade or point is placed in the bag and the bag is closed. Any medical instrument left in the bag is rendered sterile upon removal. Any incisions, injections, or procedures performed with the affected objects are seemingly painless to a human being. Subjects are aware that they are being operated upon and do not report a lessening of tactile sensation or numbing during the procedures. While they may describe the experience as unpleasant, they do not register any form of pain. As the condition progresses, the subject will become completely numb to even the most painful forms of stimulus.
  • Feel No Pain: Instruments affected by the SCP cause no pain when used to operate on any humans. Also, anyone exposed to any affected instruments lose the ability to feel pain after roughly two weeks.

SCP-1110 - Videos of a Robbery

SCP-1110 is a phenomenon that appears on video cameras installed in the vicinity of financial institutions in the United States. During a manifestation, two humanoid entities with their faces obscured by dark material, designated SCP-1110-1 and SCP-1110-2, can be seen entering the institution on camera, brandishing guns. The pair will generally approach a teller and move in a fashion indicative of robbery demands. At this point, the teller in the video will seem to comply and carefully hand over the money, which 1110-1 will place in a briefcase. No teller or customer present have seen, heard, or felt the robbers, even in cases of physical assault. Following a manifestation, a sum of cash approximately equal to the amount shown being stolen in the footage will be missing.

SCP-1111 - The White Dog

SCP-1111 consists of two differing entities. SCP-1111-1 is a dog which possesses a white coat and red eyes, with a dog tag affixed to a faded red collar around its neck reading "Loyal". SCP-1111-2 is a man wearing a faded business suit being hanged by a noose from a tree. The man constantly jerks and twitches in a manner consistent with those of a person being hanged. At distances greater than 500m from 1111-2, 1111-1's size, speed, strength, ,agility, and opacity become inversely proportional to its distance from 1111-2. Left alone, 1111-1 lies down beneath 1111-2 and does not appear to sleep. Should the dog become aware of any person or object coming near 1111-2, it will quickly become hostile and attempt to destroy the intruder.
  • Immune to Bullets: When Foundation personnel shot at the white dog, their bullets passed right through it due to its intangibility.
  • Intangibility: SCP-1111-1 (the titular dog) is incorporeal, which is why it is Immune to Bullets.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: The titular ghostly animal has red eyes that glow more brightly the closer it is to its point of origin. It savagely attacks all human beings that approach it.
  • Undying Loyalty: SCP-1111 is what is apparently the powerful and indestructible spirit of a dog (its dog tag even reads "Loyal") guarding what is apparently its master's body by killing everybody that gets anywhere near it. The master seems to be semi-alive through the whole thing and the only thing anybody's gotten close enough to hear him say is "No, down boy."

SCP-1112 - Shadow Play

SCP-1112 are 4 Han Dynasty-era Chinese shadow puppets cut from painted leather and fastened with wooden sticks. 1112's perceptual effects manifest when the puppets are animated between a light source and translucent screen by one or more individuals. The silhouette figures "perform" scenes from their lives that either correspond to a subject's memories or are speculative and metaphorical in nature. The subject perceives each figure as an unattainable person with whom they shared that particular connection. The silhouettes move with a fluidity and precision that would be impossible with ordinary shadow puppets, though they do not vocalize. Looking behind the screen reveals no cause of the figure’s perceptual effects; the users simply operate the puppets according to their desires and ability, but are unresponsive to external stimuli.

SCP-1113 - Lachesis' Spinner

SCP-1113 is a small spinning top comprised primarily of bronze. The upper section is a porcelain figurine of the upper body of a woman with a blue and brown blouse. Tests have indicated that the top will spin for anywhere up to fourteen hours when spun with sufficient enough force. Any wounds caused before or during the top's period of motion remain present and are not affected in any way. The individual will also become invulnerable to all forms of illness and aging, but are still vulnerable to life-threatening injuries.
  • Immortality: Of a sort; while the top is spinning, the person spinning does not suffer from the effects of illness or aging, but they are still vulnerable to life-threatening injuries.
  • Immortality Seeker: Richard Piper used SCP-1113 to stop himself from aging. Unfortunately, it works less well as the user grows older and the Grim Reaper eventually catches up to him.

SCP-1114 - What a Dummy

SCP-1114 is an automotive crash test dummy constructed of materials appropriate for both the time period in which it was manufactured. Its anomalous properties manifest when a human being sustains a physical injury within a range of 50 meters from its current position. 1114 imprints on the subject, its face plating remolding itself to resemble the face of the subject. Any physical injury through external forces will then manifest on 1114. When trauma is induced, subjects exhibit behavioral patterns appropriate to a person receiving that trauma. This effect has been observed to be reciprocal, with any damage done to 1114 manifesting on the body of the subject it has imprinted on. Once imprinting has occurred, it is only reversible by termination of the subject. Upon cessation of imprinting, 1114's face plating reverts to its initial form and any and all damage done to it instantly disappears.

SCP-1115 - Distant Early Warning

SCP-1115 is a number of unmanned aerial vehicles of unknown manufacture and origin, all in flight at an average altitude of approximately 15km above sea level. 1115 maintain a specific route at all times, completing a circuit of the globe every 24 hours. When not being interfered with by outside forces or moving to evade meteorological phenomena, the vehicles fly in a pattern comprising V-formations similar to migratory birds. At approximately 5:00 each day, while 1115 are flying over a region of the Sahara Desert, an individual drone will descend to approximately 5,000 meters above surface level and transmit a radio signal, designated SCP-1115-2, before ascending and returning to formation. 1115-2 is an audio recording between 41 and 46 seconds in length of a synthesized male voice, speaking a language not identified by the Foundation. A large portion of the recording remains the same in all recorded instances, while several other portions vary daily.

SCP-1116 - Humanoid Remote Drones

SCP-1116 is a group of humanoids of varied race and gender, all aged between 20 and 35. They initially appear to suffer from catatonic stupor, including symptoms of catalepsy. 1116 will attempt to maintain homeostasis, but will not detectably react to stimuli involving pain or sexuality, or environmental threats. 1116 show no evidence of volition, but will respond to a limited number of verbal commands, and can remember a sequence of commands for later execution. CT scans have revealed 1116 to possess a mesh of metallic filaments on the outside of the skull, forming a pattern closely resembling a box fractal. Energy for their transmissions appears to derive from normal metabolic processes, but the specific mechanism for generating the required current has not yet been identified.

SCP-1117 - Feasting Table

SCP-1117 is a wooden dining room table laden with a wide variety of food and drink from cultures all over the world, designated SCP-1117-2. When consumed by subjects, instances of 1117-2 are instantly replaced, though the exact contents are not consistent. Individuals who have consumed food or drink from 1117 become instances of SCP-1117-3, gaining the ability to cause 1117-2 to spontaneously appear whenever they feel hungry. They display great reluctance to consume anything other than 1117-2, and forcing them to ingest food other than 1117-2 induces extreme nausea and fatal cardiac arrhythmia.

SCP-1118 - Os Sumum

SCP-1118 is a heavily modified typewriter manufactured in 1935. A small brass plaque mounted on the underside of the device bears the following inscription: "Os Sumum - H.H. - 1937". 1118's type-bars have been removed and replaced with metacarpals and proximal phalanges from 24 unknown donors, fused together by an unknown process to achieve the necessary shape. All of 1118's factory key tops have been detached and 31 of its keys have been modified to accept a set of SCP-1118-2, 31 human molars with surfaces filed down to permit labeling with black ink. When a full set is mounted on 1118's keyboard, any words typed out will be vocalized by the typewriter’s current target. It is currently unclear how 1118 induces vocalizations in these targets, though vocalizations made through 1118 can also influence a target's behavior. Living targets of 1118 will perceive the anomalous vocalizations as appropriate and logical, and will become agitated if confronted with the discordance of their speech.

SCP-1119 - No Touching

SCP-1119 is a 54-year-old Caucasian man measuring 174.3 centimeters and weighing 154.6 kilograms. X-ray scans and exploratory surgery have yielded evidence exists of absorption of tissue and organs belonging to other sentient beings by his body. These organs and tissues are connected to 1119's body by a network of small blood vessels so that atrophy or necrosis is prevented. DNA tests have shown this collection of tissues belongs to at least fifteen separate individuals, both male and female. Tests have also shown that skin-to-skin contact with 1119 will initiate an absorption process. Once contact has been made, the cells in his skin will bond with those in the victim's skin. The process appears to be irreversible and can only be halted by amputation or excision of connected tissues. 1119 shows notable signs of severe stress when absorption occurs, while his victims appear to enter a coma-like state within 2-5 seconds of initiation. 1119 suffers from severe clinical depression regarding his ability, and will not usually initiate any form of contact for fear of activating the absorption process.
  • The Assimilator: He absorbs human tissue into his body through touch. The person falls unconscious a few seconds after they touch him, so at least they don't suffer.
  • Blessed with Suck: He can absorb people, sounds Creepy Awesome right? Except he has no control over it, the absorption process takes a long time (ten minutes per kilogram of tissue) and it really stresses him out when it happens.
  • Driven to Suicide: The Foundation heard about him while he tried to throw himself off a building.
  • The Eeyore: He suffers from clinical depression.
  • Hates Being Touched: Due to the obvious and living a sheltered life, he's reluctant to make physical contact with anyone.
  • Power Incontinence: He absorbs any human who touches him and adds some of their organs to his own. The Foundation discovered him when he absorbed a police officer who was trying to stop him from committing suicide.
  • Pun-Based Title: The article's original title was "Father Goose", referencing the Brothers Grimm fairy tale The Golden Goose.

SCP-1120 - Freeze Tag

SCP-1120 is a number of human skeletons encased in what appears to be pyroclastic igneous rock. 1120 are animate, though whether they are sapient has yet to be determined. Upon entering an active state, an instance of 1120 will patrol the surrounding area and attempt to seek out a living human. If a suitable subject is found, 1120 will immediately charge and attempt to grab them. Instances exhibit inhuman strength, and have been observed to destroy sizable pieces of urban infrastructure while in pursuit. If any part of a subject's skin comes into contact with 1120, they will immediately cease pursuit. Upon contact, the subject, hereafter referred to as SCP-1120-1, will enter a state of paralysis, while the instance that initiated contact will return to a dormant state. Over the course of the next three minutes, all skin, muscle, and organ tissue belonging to 1120-1 will transmute into igneous rock.
  • Loophole Abuse: While SCP-1120 can smash through walls easily, they actively refrain from breaking bones. So naturally, they are contained in cages of human bones held together with concrete.
  • Real Event, Fictional Cause: The eruption of Vesuvius was caused by a man trying to bury the SCP-1120 instances before they overran more towns.
  • Super-Strength: SCP-1120 has inhumanly tremendous strength, enough to tear through cinderblock walls and destroy buildings.
  • Taken for Granite: After an instance of SCP-1120 touches a human being, over the next three minutes the soft tissue of the victim will be petrified and become pyroclastic igneous rock.
  • The Virus: After the touch of an instance of SCP-1120 has petrified a human being, that human becomes a new SCP-1120 instance.

SCP-1121 - The Skinning Disease

SCP-1121 is a previously unknown amoeboid protozoan discovered on an excavated meteorite in New Mexico. This protozoan has very specific mutagenic qualities which trigger only by Staphylococcus epidermidis. Once introduced to S. epidermidis, 1121 mutates all instances of the bacteria into SCP-1121-1 before dying. Two to five hours after infection, an infected subject will develop small white lesions on the skin, before the infection spreads to the lower layers of the patient's skin. 1121-1 then consumes the subcutaneous tissue, transforming it into a highly viscous substance in an extremely painful process. The skin turns pale and slouches in areas, mimicking the effects of massive sudden weight loss, and subjects begin removing it from their body. This process seems to be painless and does not seem to be a conscious activity. Victims rapidly become disoriented and invariably hostile to anyone not infected by 1121-1 as the process of skin removal progresses.

SCP-1122 - The House of Tomorrow

SCP-1122 is an abandoned tourist attraction originally constructed in the 1950s as a "house of tomorrow"; a demonstration of then-futuristic technologies. Among other things, the house has a kitchen stocked with food pills that change into three-course meals upon hydration, miniature robots that perform routine cleaning and maintenance, and a garage containing a car capable of flight. The house is also populated by a family of four (designated SCP-1122-1 through -4) consisting of a man and a woman in their mid-thirties, an adolescent daughter, and a prepubescent son. The entire family are docile and perpetually cheerful, and are usually willing to answer any questions posed to them. Their knowledge of history prior to the 1950s is relatively accurate, but in regards to history after the decade, they refer to fictitious people and events such as the creation of a lunar colony, while failing to recognize real events.

SCP-1123 - Atrocity Skull

SCP-1123 is a human skull missing its teeth and lower jaw. Across the exterior is modern Khmer script written in human blood, translating to "Remember." When subjects touch the surface of 1123, they will experience a dissociative fugue state. Initiation appears instantaneous and is not affected by cessation of contact. Symptoms including confusion, disorientation, and the adoption of a new identity and memories which will persist for ninety minutes to six hours. During this period, the subject will lose all memories of their prior identity. Subjects have shown various reactions to this, ranging from near-catatonia to attempts to escape or attack Foundation personnel. As the symptoms subside, the subject will regain memories of their prior identity, but will also retain memory of the new identity and all knowledge associated with it. The alternate identies granted by the skull always include those who have personally witnessed a horrific atrocity.

SCP-1124 - Xenoplague

SCP-1124 are large and dangerous entities resembling cephalopods housed in metallic canisters. 1124 are impervious to heat and pressure, and are otherwise non-responsive to external stimuli. Reaction to biological matter originating from a sapient creature tends to elicit a more violent response. The entities frequently gnaw and consume the casing in their containment units, although the amount of damage taken is acceptable due to the density and thinness of the film used to line each chamber. 1124 are capable of spreading a highly virulent plague by burrowing into subjects’ bodies, turning them extremely deformed.

    1125- 1149

SCP-1125 - Answer Dice

SCP-1125 is a collection of individually packaged dice, their pips replaced by two repeated instances of the words "Yes", "No", and "Maybe". Underneath the "Factory" logo on their packaging is an advertising slogan that reads "They'll make up your mind!", printed in bold red lettering. 1125's effect becomes apparent when a specimen makes contact with the skin of a human being. An immediate compulsion to phrase a query concerning a binary decision and rolling a die will come over the subject. The die will then provide an answer, but if it lands on "Maybe", the subject will continue to roll indefinitely until a definite answer has been generated. Subjects in possession of a die gradually become unable to make any decision without resorting to the object, even base decisions that are not consciously made on the result that 1125 provides them with.

SCP-1126 - Agent Palmer

SCP-1126 is one of the more outlandish anomalies in containment: a Joannis palm tree with a dark gray trench coat draped around its trunk. While the sleeves, pockets, and flaps of the coat may be shifted or opened, it has proven impossible to completely disrobe the tree. The tree also possesses sapience and the capabilities of speech, taking on the personality of a stereotypical spy. It claims to be "Agent Palmer," a reconnaissance agent from an organization known as T.R.O.P.I.C., whose apparent mission is domination of tropical flora and fauna in "climatologically oppressed" regions of the world. Palmer can manipulate its trench coat as though it has arms, usually positioning the sleeves as though it were clasping its hands behind its back, and can also achieve forward locomotion by rocking back and forth on its root ball.

SCP-1127 - A Film Festival

SCP-1127 is a series of short films ranging between 23 and 42 minutes in length, the individual films designated SCP-1127-1, SCP-1127-2, SCP-1127-3, and SCP-1127-4. Each film is composed primarily of scenes clipped from other movies and shorts, with additional video from various other sources. A "narrator" unique to each film appears fully integrated into the clips comprising the film, regardless of the original source of the material. This narrator provides commentary and occasionally interacts with objects and characters within the recycled footage. After 20 minutes of continuous exposure to the contents of any film in the series, an anomalous effect will infect watchers of the film. Each film produces a different effect in the viewers, but in each case the effect is a permanent disruption in normal behavior patterns and alterations to emotional reactions to various stimuli.
  • Animal Motifs: The host of SCP-1127-3 has a mask resembling a rat's face stitched onto her own.
  • Ax-Crazy: What SCP-1127-2 makes people; its viewers injure others out of "curiosity".
  • Black Comedy: SCP-1127-1 pretty much results in viewers having this become their sense of humor. It's easily the tamest affect the SCP has.
  • Brown Note: Just viewing the thing can permanently alter your personality.
  • Creepy Child: The "host" of SCP-1127-2 is a little girl in a Domino Mask who dismembers a teddy bear with a knife and narrates that violence is "the only answer".
  • Fun with Acronyms: All known shorts incorporate A, W, C, and Y (as well as one question mark)note  as the starting letters for their titles, though the positioning varies.
  • Grand Dame: The "host" of the third film, described as a woman in her mid-thirties and wearing an Elizabethan ballgown.
  • Hopeless with Tech: Taken to the extreme with SCP-1127-3, which makes people flat-out terrified of tech, and anything else man-made and "unnatural".
  • Leather Man: The "host" of the fourth film wears a leather mask.
  • Madness Mantra: The "host" of SCP-1127-3's narration involves her just saying a collection of rhyming words, but at one point, she repeats the word "Liar" over and over again for an entire hour.
  • Malevolent Masked Men: And a woman and a little girl; all of the "hosts" of the films wear masks, although the woman in SCP-1127-3 has a mask stitched onto her face.
  • Mind Rape: It's a series of films that permanently alter people's personalities.
  • Monster Clown: The "host" of SCP-1127-1, who is a clown wearing a Nazi uniform.
  • Murder Is the Best Solution: If you believe the host of the second film, that is.
Host: … what are you afraid of … violence … afraid that violence is the answer … or is it the question … ask the question you are afraid of … you already know the answer … pain doesn’t hurt.
  • Stock Footage: Any segment of the short films that doesn't involve the "hosts". In each one, it matches the theme the hosts are trying to get across.
  • Those Wacky Nazis: The clown who hosts the first film wears a Nazi uniform.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: The "host" of SCP-1127-4 is shirtless.

SCP-1128 - Aquatic Horror

SCP-1128 is a massive aquatic creature that hunts down any sapient being given a full description of the its appearance through spoken, written, or visual descriptions. Persons infected will exhibit no abnormal behavior, though some cases show a general aversion to activities involving bodily immersion in water. Should a subject ever be fully immersed in water, they will disappear completely under the surface, regardless of the water's actual depth. In most cases, they will reappear moments later in a panicked state, frantically trying to leave the body. Subjects that have reappeared intact claim that they were transported to a vast ocean where they were pursued by 1128.
  • Brown Note Being: Knowing the full description of it will cause it to hunt you every time you come into contact with water. Apparently, there was an incident where it dragged a D-class personnel member into a glass of water.
  • Depending on the Artist: Many art pieces of SCP-1128 have varied, for obvious reasons. Given that none of them have caused any incidents (or at least, none that we know of), we can assume that none of them are "correct".
  • Kraken and Leviathan: While we don't know exactly what it is, we do know that it is large enough to eat whales.
  • Logical Weakness: The Brown Note only works if you remember what it looks like. Thus, the Foundation can halt it by simply administering Class-C Amnestics.
  • Sea Monster: It's in the █████ Ocean. A weird one, but still qualifies as "aquatic horror".
  • Super-Persistent Predator: Not usually, but if you escape it enough times without amnestics, it'll start chasing you in every source of water it can possibly reach you through. Including a glass of water.
  • Unseen Evil: Given the nature of its powers, we never get a full description of its appearance.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: People exposed to the creature without proper amnestics grow steadily more terrified of water as time goes on.

SCP-1129 - Hyperarousal Response

SCP-1129 is a large object of apparent biological origin. Its composition is largely unknown, as it seems to flow past any and all objects that approach it, temporarily breaking apart and changing dimensions as needed. When any sentient being makes visual contact with 1129, they will immediately gain an extremely heightened flight reflex, attempting to flee from 1129 by any means possible, ignoring obstacles and personal injury. These symptoms will increase in intensity so long as the subject remains within 23.3 meters of the object, or remains in direct line-of-sight of it. Symptoms will persist for several hours after the affected being has left the immediate range of effect. If the affected subject is unable to leave, they will exhibit increasingly frantic behavior until finally dying. Post-mortem examinations reveal the cause of death is typically cardiac arrest or the equivalent, consistent with a prolonged heightened state of fear and stress.

SCP-1130 - A Handy Shortcut

SCP-1130 is an interactive kiosk composed largely of unadorned sheet metal, which provides free directions from a fixed position to any street address within the limits of its location. 1130's primary anomalous property manifests when directions have been requested and printed from its interior. Directions obtained will invariably instruct subjects to leave established routes and make use of SCP-1130-1, a severely weathered metal door labeled "Maintenance Portal 26-Sigma". Multiple subjects following the same set of directions will be able to find and make use of the same door until it closes. At that point, it will vanish from sight and subjects left behind will be unable to follow the directions any further. Subjects inside the door describe having to traverse a space composed of interconnected halls, rooms, and tunnels (designated SCP-1130-2) before finding themselves before back at 1130-1. All subjects have described a consistent auditory phenomenon while in 1130-2, and develop a persistent sense of being pursued, growing stronger as the time spent in 1130-2 and the phenomenon itself increases.
  • Alien Geometries: The areas encountered while passing through SCP-1130-2 are connected in a random fashion: for example, a hatch in a World War II German submarine leads to a room in a hospital, and a subway tunnel connects to a kitchen in a diner.
  • Portal Door: SCP-1130-1 is a severely weathered metal door that appears when someone uses an interactive kiosk that provides free directions. The person using the kiosk is told to go through "'Maintenance Portal 26-Sigma". When they do, they end up in a confusing maze of rooms designated SCP-1130-2.
  • Year Inside, Hour Outside: SCP-1130-2 is a series of interconnected halls, rooms and tunnels stretching for kilometers that is entered through the Portal Door SCP-1130-1. While people are traveling through SCP-1130-2 they report the trip lasting hours to weeks, while in the outside world only 11-23 seconds pass.

SCP-1131 - The Oscar Bug

SCP-1131 is a subspecies of mosquito that appear under direct observation to be normal specimens. When a female instance bites a mammal, the affected subject (immediately given the designation SCP-1131-1) begins a physical transformation lasting several days. Beginning at the site of the bite, tissues of 1131-1 begin to change, starting with the dermis and progressing inward toward muscular and skeletal structures. All subjects take on the same physical appearance and attributes, transforming into a 57-year-old Caucasian man named "Oscar Peleschak". Subjects usually awaken within 24 hours of the transformation, becoming indistinguishable from each other after completion of this transformation. All subjects claim to be Oscar Peleschak and show signs of distress upon awakening.

SCP-1132 - Snake Tongue

SCP-1132 is a 25-year-old woman of indigenous Mexican ethnicity. Her tongue, esophagus, stomach, and intestines have been replaced by a female fer-de-lance snake. Due to her condition, 1132 cannot speak and lacks a uterus, though no sign of surgery is present. Approximately 0.6 to 0.7 meters of the snake lie coiled where her stomach should be, giving it the ability to lunge out of 1132’s mouth. Aside from its anomalous state and length, the reptile is otherwise a normal member of its species, possessing a venomous bite and treating 1132 as territory to be defended. Its eating seems to provide sustenance for both itself and 1132, though it must eat at a rate greater than normal for a snake, but less than that of a human.
  • Body Horror: She's had her tongue, esophagus, stomach and intestines replaced by a female fer-de-lance.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: She's a woman with a snake for a tongue.
  • The Immune: She's immune to her own snake's venom for the most part, only falling into a coma for about a day at most if it bites her.
  • The Speechless: She cannot talk, due to her snake tongue.

SCP-1133 - Intravenous Sin

SCP-1133 is a hospital-standard IV fluid stand which has all openings, with the exception of the tubes passing through the infusion pump, fused shut. The console possesses nine buttons not present on a normal infusion pump. The first seven are labeled with a corresponding number, and the final two with the words, "Extract" and "Infuse", respectively. When supplied with power, 1133 will display the message: “SELECT OPERATION SETTINGS”, at which point either "Extract" or "Infuse" must be selected. If the "Extract" setting is selected while the device is attatched to a living human, one of the number buttons must also be selected. This will cause 1133 to begin extracting a substance known as SCP-1133-X from the subject, corresponding to the number chosen. Selecting the "Infuse" option will result in the pump functioning as expected, infusing the substance in the drip bags into the subject’s bloodstream. 1133-X appears to be synthesized directly from the subject's bloodstream upon extraction, and breaks down almost immediately upon entering the blood, making it almost impossible to observe its impact on human physiology. To date, 7 different varieties of 1133-X have been recorded, each with a distinct color and effect.

SCP-1134 - Lead Paint

SCP-1134 is a circular polyvinyl-chloride 10-gallon container of paint-and-primer mix. SCP-1134-1 is the liquid contained in 1134. which has roughly the same consistency as paint-and-primer mix and is violet in color. Any amount of the mixture that is allowed to gain free momentum prior to surface application quickly accelerates to a uniform speed equivalent to a magnum round. Larger amounts will break up into smaller uniform droplets, measured by high-speed camera to be very similar in shape to bullets. Upon impact with an unpainted surface or obstruction, 1134-1 behaves in a similar manner to a bullet, but does not lose energy when coming into contact with a surface or obstruction, and will instead ricochet at a constant speed until making contact with a painted surface or organic object. Once contact is made, the ricocheting instances are absorbed into the liquid and a corresponding increase in surface coverage can be measured. If applied to a surface and allowed to dry, 1134-1 has been observed to be completely bulletproof, withstanding impacts up to a .30 caliber sniper round.

SCP-1135 - Living Village

SCP-1135 is an isolated village in India containing several houses and places of commerce, as well as a Hindu temple. All buildings are fully equipped with running hot and cold water, electricity, and sewerage, also unusual for the area. In addition, the roads in and around the village are fully paved with asphalt concrete. Investigation of the building materials reveals strands of organic fiber running through them and permanent fixtures not introduced by an outside force. These fibers extend up to 3m below ground and form a network under the village. They can grow, repair themselves, and absorb nutrients from the soil. As such, 1135 is considered a single, living organism with certain similarities to fungi. The fibers appear to be able to generate a wide variety of organic and non-organic materials around themselves, allowing them to generate the structures within the village. This allows the structures to repair themselves, and periodically new buildings grow organically from the soil, maintaining structural integrity at all times during this process.

SCP-1136 - Subjective Directional Gravity

SCP-1136 is a species of gecko physically indistinguishable from other species, other than its anomalous property. When 1136 instances are startled or frightened, they cause gravity within a radius of approximately 7 to 8m to align itself with its orientation. This occurs instantaneously and without any measurable change in the physiology of 1136, other than that which is normal for a surprise response. The effect continues as long as 1136 remains frightened, and the direction of the gravity shift will continuously change to match its current orientation.
  • Gravity Screw: This happens whenever it's startled.
  • Wall Crawl: Like all geckos, it can do this, except it always leads to disastrous results, such as broken bones, for any humans trying to catch it.

SCP-1137 - Perfect Sphere

SCP-1137 is a blue glass sphere approximately 10cm in diameter. Its anomalous properties take effect if any attempt is made to measure any properties related to its spherical nature, such as curvature or smoothness. Those who try to measure 1137's spherical properties will become convinced that it is mathematically perfect. Once infected, a subject will become obsessed with the fact that although all measurements indicate that 1137 is a perfect sphere, it is physically impossible for this to be the case. The paradox will become deeply ingrained in the subject's mind amd they will attempt to disprove the inconsistency, resorting to more and more accurate tools. Despite this, they will never be able to perceive any results other than those indicating 1137 is a mathematically perfect object. The subject will slowly acquire the compulsion to reproduce an instance of 1137, continuing to produce replicas they will always determine are insufficiently precise.

SCP-1138 - Book of Letters

SCP-1138 is a book of letters holding ideals purported to be written by the world's most well-known philosophers. The book's author changes based on the scientific and personal interests of the reader, and its contents depend on reader's beliefs regarding the author's ideas. The reader, thinking that a philosopher adhered to a specific opinion, will find letters expressing ideas that directly contradict their beliefs, written out in great detail. Readers who completely share the presumed author's views fall into a prolonged depression that they compare to being betrayed by a close friend. More open-minded individuals rejoice at first, sometimes lapsing into euphoria and stating that they "finally found the truth" before becoming absent-minded and unable to concentrate.

SCP-1139 - The Broken Tongue

SCP-1139 is a metallic grey block, roughly 20 centimeters high. The sides are patterned with square protrusions in an unrecognized pattern, which can be confirmed by touch. Viewers of the pattern observe the protrusions as letters in a language they are familiar with. No subject has reported any subsequent change in the appearance of the letters. On the bottom of the object, there are four crevices, each coated in a copper-colored substance. Upon application of a direct electric current, the object affects all individuals within a given radius through unknown means. Any person within the radius of effect begins speaking and writing a new language, though they apparently believe they are speaking their native tongue, while they lose the ability to speak or comprehend any prior known language.
  • Sacred Language: Although they can't speak any other language after touching it, the block apparently gives people the ability to read the Voynich Manuscript.
  • Tower of Babel: The Biblical story of the Tower of Babel is presumably based on this object.

SCP-1140 - Gurgles

SCP-1140 is an oak chest with 7 drawers. Anomalous behavior is observed when the top center drawer of the chest is opened at least 2cm, whereupon certain vocalizations can be detected from within, the vocalizations being designated SCP-1140-1. Dismantling the chest has revealed there to be nothing within the cavity behind the drawers capable of producing vocalization. Although 1140-1 is essentially a disembodied voice, any attempts for a human being to reach towards the rear of the drawer while the voice can be heard results in injury, the wounds consistent with having been caused by the talon of a large bird.

SCP-1141 - Entrepreneurial Spirit

SCP-1141 is a phenomenon that affects public zoos in the New England region of the United States. The phenomenon occurs approximately thirty minutes prior to opening time, and will result in the manifestation of SCP-1141-1, fully staffed, supplied, and operational restaurants which are thematically consistent with other restaurants in the zoo, as well as the area of the zoo in which it is located. Food served in these restaurants is consistent with food served at similar establishments, and will appear with other supplies as needed out of view of the public. The staff of these restaurants are anatomically and behaviorally consistent human beings who will run 1141-1 to the best of their ability. They are either unwilling or unable to answer personal questions or questions pertaining to the nature or origin of 1141.
  • Alternate Universe: Its employees dislike breathing oxygen and don't have a good grasp of our universe's physical laws.
  • The Little Shop That Wasn't There Yesterday: It's a restaurant that frequently appears in New England zoos, but its operators always get one of the laws of physics wrong. (Once it appeared with gravity that was twice Earth's, and another time, its temperature was 5000˚C, causing fires in its section of the zoo.)
  • Fantastic Racism: Its operators apparently believe humans are most likely to buy and/or eat their food from restaurants, especially those in zoos.
  • Just One Second Out of Sync: In April 1992, infrastructural changes to accommodate a "Safari Grill" suddenly appeared in a zoo, but SCP-1141 itself couldn't be found and the alterations disappeared after two hours. After this incident, the zoo's owners kept having to make structural repairs to the area where SCP-1141 should have appeared.
  • Occidental Otaku: Word of God states that 1141's operators are the extradimensional equivalents of this.

SCP-1142 - A Cry for Help

SCP-1142 is a Goliath tracking mine used by the German Wehrmacht during World War II. Although originally designed to carry an explosive charge, it contains a heavily modified Kw.E.a Wehrmacht radio receiver within its housing. At irregular intervals, German transmissions have been recorded from the device. In all cases, contact has been made by an individual referring to himself as a Brigadeführer, designated SCP-1142-1. Historical research has verified the commander’s existence, though records show him to have been killed in action. Analysis of transmissions recorded have yielded several critical points of divergence from the primary timeline, including large-scale deaths among the German populace from an unknown pathogen, a sixteen kilometer sinkhole in Poland, and the Allies isolating the entirety of continental Europe.
  • Alternate Universe: SCP-1142 is a radio receiver that broadcasts transmissions from an alternate Earth where the Nazis did....something that inflicted serious damage on Europe and turned the entire continent into a quarantine zone.
  • Eldritch Abomination: In an Alternate Universe, the Nazis somehow let loose an entity that created a 16 kilometer wide sinkhole in Poland and released a flesh-eating disease that killed millions of people.

SCP-1143 - Cool Guys Don't Look at Explosions

SCP-1143 is an anomalous twist on a classic movie trope. It's a pair of unbranded aviator sunglasses that, when worn by an individual (known as SCP-1143-1), causes all inanimate objects behind them to spontaneously explode. The likelihood of an explosion is dependent on the physiology, attitude, clothing worn, actions taken, speed, and stamina of the wearer. 1143 also exhibits a mild space-warping effect, causing all shrapnel and debris from the resultant explosions to miss 1143-1. In the event of 1143-1 seeing the explosion, whether by turning around or in reflections, it will immediately cease, though damage will still remain.
  • Can't Move While Being Watched: In this case, no objects can blow up while they're being watched through SCP-1143's lenses.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: SCP-1143 is a pair of goggles that, when worn, will cause explosions to happen, but only if the wearer's not looking at them.

SCP-1144 - Orion Scales

SCP-1144 is an Orion HR-120 Analytical Balance-brand weighing scale. 1144 is permanently active, though the display will show no signs of being on until an object is placed upon the scales, at which point the display will activate, providing a reading for the observer. It should be noted that the reading 1144 provides is not a measurement of the object’s mass, as repeated testing seems to suggest that mass and weight are irrelevant. Ongoing testing has yielded no indication of what exact objective quantity the scale is able to measure, although tenuous patterns have been established. During initial testing, each object was "weighed" three times, with similar readings produced each time. This was taken to be evidence that 1144 actually weighs a particular quantity, which varies in magnitude amongst a given set of objects.

SCP-1145 - Nagasaki Teddy

SCP-1145 is a stuffed bear recovered from Nagasaki after the atomic bomb was dropped. The toy is heavily radioactive, emitting radiation consistent with the decay chains of Pu-239 and Pu-241. The amount of radiation 1145 emits increases if the object is not illuminated. When left unilluminated for a period exceeding 3 seconds, the toy will enter an active state, during which it emits gamma radiation. 1145 will begin moving in the direction of the nearest human being. When in this state, the object is capable of passing through any surface, irradiating it but causing no visible structural damage. Immediately upon coming to rest within 1m of its target, 1145 will begin to increase its emissions every 30 seconds. The emissions will continue to increase until the object has been picked up by the target. Once picked up, the emissions will return to base levels as long as the subject maintains unshielded skin contact with it.
  • Killer Teddy Bear: Albeit an accidental one. The radiation it emits grows stronger as it approaches its target, which usually results in their death.
  • Non-Malicious Monster: It looks creepy as all hell and is radioactive, but according to Word of God it actually just wants to comfort people.
  • Nuclear Mutant: In this case, it's not made monstrous but it is made dangerous.
  • Nuclear Weapons Taboo: The bombing of Nagasaki is responsible for turning the formerly-benign bear into the threat it is today.
  • Obliviously Evil: It's just trying to comfort people who are in the dark. Unfortunately, now that it's irradiated, it only invokes Darkness Equals Death.
  • Tragic Abandoned Toy: A radioactive teddy bear that becomes active when it is dark and begins moving in the direction of the nearest person to comfort them. According to its author, its previous owner was a Japanese child who was afraid of the dark and was vaporized in the bombing of Nagasaki.
  • Tragic Monster: Although the actual entry could be read as it just being malevolent, Word of God says that the reason why it seeks out the nearest person when in the dark is because it is a teddy bear, a toy you sleep with, supposed to comfort you - either created by an anomalous craftsman or owned by an anomalous child. However, the Nagasaki bombing annihilated its former owner and left it irradiated, so its attempts to comfort people now lead to their horrific deaths by radiation. This does not explain why the radiation intensifies when it is active, though.

SCP-1146 - Psycho Printer

SCP-1146 is a heavily modified 3D printer with 40.6 cm LCD screen, a set of small speakers, an enlarged printing bay, and a number of wires exposed along various points of the subject's case. 1146's anomalous attributes are exhibited when a human being comes within five meters of the device. The screen will automatically turn on and display a blue oscilloscope. It will begin to yell insults at the individual in the voice of a Russian child, convincing them to fix a "Filament Blockage". If filament is inserted, it will begin "yelling" louder and louder, its oscilloscope will change from blue to purple, and it will begin printing a number of creatures (collectively referred to as SCP-1146-1). Upon completion, each model will exit the printing bay and attack any humans it encounters. Ranging in size from six centimeters to fifty centimeters, the models have a lifespan of approximately thirty minutes, after which they will vitrify. The printer will continue producing models until it reaches 50% filament, where it will normally re-enter its dormant state.

SCP-1147 - Adaptive Plum Tree

SCP-1147 is an unclassified species of plum tree whose seeds, designated SCP-1147-1, can be planted in any substance, whether it is a mineral, liquid, or even animal tissue. The resulting tree will adopt the physical attributes from the substance the seed is planted in. 1147 has proven capable of growing in solids, loose material, and liquids via hydroponics. The tree produces similarly physically-altered fruit, designated SCP-1147-2. Many of the fruits are found to edible, with certain exceptions.
  • Adaptive Ability: It's a species of plum tree that can grow in and take on the form of any substance, including water, sand, petroleum, glass, Legos, beer, milk, and brain tissue.
  • Body Horror: A poor D-class is subjected to having the seed grown within them.
  • Counterfeit Cash: One attempt to grow this with mixed currency bills failed, resulting in leaves that, despite bearing the designs of bills, do not form complete bills.
Dr. Laurel: I told you it wouldn't work. I'm glad I didn't chip in to the collection.
  • Grows on Trees: Disturbingly inverted. Random things don't grow from this tree, the tree grows from random things. It's not so bad when it grows from inanimate material like glass or concrete, but when it grows from something like, say, meat for example... see Sick and Wrong below.
  • Living Toys: When a seed was planted in Lego bricks, the result was a growing, living tree made of Legos.
  • Mundane Utility: Attempts to use it this way are discouraged. For instance, requests were made by personnel to use SCP-1147-GL, plums made of glass, as gifts.
  • Sick and Wrong: When a fruit from the ground beef tree is picked and cooked, it is edible, unlike its raw form, but the taste is still described as "gross" and "wrong".

SCP-1148 - Imperfect Image

SCP-1148 is a reflected image on a window, designated SCP-1148-1. 1148 totally obstructs the view outward through the window, despite the transparency of the underlying glass. Subjects who view the illuminated side of 1148-1 are initially oblivious to the presence of 1148 beyond that of an ordinary reflection. After approximately 15 minutes of exposure, symptoms such as paranoia and a fixation on observing the window will manifest. Within 5 minutes, subjects report sighting transient figures as part of 1148. These figures are described as a man cloaked in a black hood, a large winged biped, and a pair of glowing eyes, all of which will disappear upon intentional viewing. Within an additional 5 minutes, subjects express an irrational desire to approach 1148. While invisible to external observers, various victims describe a pair of disembodied arms emerging from 1148, acting to pull the subject inside.

SCP-1149 - Erratic Weather Vane

SCP-1149 is a rusted weather vane bearing no manufacturer's mark or identifying features aside from the common rooster ornament. 1149's anomalous properties appear to always be in effect, but are amplified in density and frequency when wind passes over the object in the direction where it is pointing. When kept out of the wind, 1149 causes an anomalous weather event to occur within its radius once every 15 minutes, each event typically lasting between 10 seconds and 2 minutes. When exposed to winds between 25 and 40 km/h, the events will be continuous at the center of the radius, stopping and starting randomly near and beyond the borders. Beyond 40 km/h, events will overlap, creating a continuous event growing in intensity until the speed of the wind passing over 1149 decreases below a certain threshold.

    1150- 1174

SCP-1150 - The Passengers

SCP-1150 are sentient entities with human-like psychology, capable of sharing bodies with willing hosts through unknown means. 1150 are aware of all behaviors, interactions, and emotional states of their hosts, but cannot usually perceive individual thoughts or memories. While the host is conscious, there is no known means of detecting the presence of 1150, save for the occasional brief appearance of anomalous EEG traces. When the host of an instance falls asleep, the entity gains control of the host body for a period of 5-16 hours. This duration varies with the mental fortitude and willingness of the host and the relative strength of the entity. While in control, 1150 generally has physiological reactions identical to those of a normal human, albeit with memories and personality traits different from those of the host. At the end of its period of control, 1150 instances become sluggish and appear to sleep. One to two minutes later, the host awakes and regains control of their body.

SCP-1151 - A Handy Marker

SCP-1151 is a black marker pen which demonstrates anomalous properties when it is used to draw a "smiley face" onto the palm of a human subject, hereafter referred to as SCP-1151-1. Subjects experiencing the effects of 1151 will noticeably raise their affected hand during their daily routines. Initially, they will only do this when conversing with others, but as the condition progresses, they will raise the affected hand higher than the rest of their body constantly. 1151-1 will begin to believe that the face is their actual face and will behave as such. After a period ranging from two to six days has passed, the final stage of infection will begin. 1151-1 will begin to believe that their head is a dangerous growth on their body, and will attempt to remove it using whatever tools are available to them.
  • Off with His Head!: Anyone under the SCP's effects will attempt to decapitate themselves; if they are successful, they live for 1 to 6 hours afterwards.

SCP-1152 - A Common Raccoon

SCP-1152 is an apparent raccoon that does not share the biology of other members of its species, but is instead a near complete match for the human genome. The Foundation’s database has found that 1152 was found to share 99.87% of its genetic code with a deceased agent. 1152 has exhibited intelligence on par with an average post-pubescent human, and is suffering from long-term depression following its capture. It is capable of manipulating objects with considerable dexterity beyond what should be feasibly possible with paws. This is because in reality, 1152 is the agent himself, percieved as a raccoon by everyone around him after he went missing.
  • Fingore: 1152 is missing "the fifth finger of its left front paw".
  • Funny Animal: The Foundation thinks 1152 is a form of this, to the point that nobody realizes that its photograph clearly shows a man in a cage.
  • Intellectual Animal: People understand that 1152 has mental capabilities of a human, but are unaware that it is an actual human.
  • Noodle Incident: Whatever happened to the agent that severed his finger and made everyone mistake him for a raccoon.
  • Painting the Medium: Although the documentation claims 1152 is an anomalous raccoon, the photo shows otherwise. Word of God confirms that 1152 is indeed the agent, not the raccoon, and that the photo is viewed as depicting a raccoon in-universe.

SCP-1153 - Programmable Patients

SCP-1153 is a collection of twelve human bodies of different heights, weights, ages, and genders, catatonic but functionally alive. Each instance of 1153 has what appears to be a standardized USB port embedded in the outside of the left heel. SCP-1153-2 is a collection of five laptop computers of various makes and models, all containing a heavily encrypted program impervious to all attempts to alter its coding. When opened, the program consists of a menu listing a series of commands named after an injury or disease, save for the first command, entitled "Wipe". When a laptop is connected by a cable to an instance of 1153, the program launched and a command executed, the primary anomalous effects of 1153 can be observed. When a command is executed in connection to a body, the body will rapidly develop the relevant disease or injury over the course of approximately twenty seconds. The "Wipe" command heals the body of all injuries and illnesses within another twenty-second period, up to and including death and advanced decomposition.

SCP-1154 - Conceptual Dragon

SCP-1154 is a collection of media (designated SCP-1153-1 to -6) consisting of a poem, an unpublished novel, a short story, a crayon drawing, a dream journal, and a VHS tape of a movie apparently produced in 1993. Each component has a thematic link to an entity referred to as "The Dragon". 1154's anomalous effects become apparent when at least one component is viewed and understood by a human being. Over the course of two weeks, the subject will experience dreams involving vaguely reptilian entities, valuables mysteriously disappearing from their radius, a perceived drastic increase in the ambient temperature, a feeling that they are being followed, and spontaneous combustion.

SCP-1155 - Predatory Street Art

SCP-1155 is a work of graffiti depicting a humanoid creature with sinewy forelimbs, claw-like hands, and the head of an owl. Anyone viewing the image directly will experience a nervous fascination and a compulsion to investigate it closer. If a subject should approach within 2 meters and is not in the line of sight of another person, they will be subjected to a violent attack, resulting in severe lacerations, dismemberment, removal of soft body parts, and penetrating head trauma. The attack generally takes about 6 seconds to conclude, upon which both 1155 and the victim will vanish, the artwork itself relocating elsewhere within seven days.

SCP-1156 - Wellington the Wonder Horse

SCP-1156 is a male domesticated horse of indeterminate breed and unknown age. 1156 is sapient and is able to speak English with a thick Cockney accent, referring to itself as "Wellington Garrett Wonderhorse", claiming to have lived in the London borough of Whitechapel prior coming into the custody of Marshall, Carter, and Dark, who forced him into indentured servitude. Wellington describes himself as a member of a community of sapient horses living openly throughout the East End, and has demonstrated a limited ability to manipulate tools and simple machines with his mouth. Wellington also possesses a limited form of telekinesis, comprising an ability to dress himself by spontaneously manifesting clothing tailored to fit a horse directly onto his body.
  • Cool Horse: Wellington can think like a human, speak with a Cockney accent, dress up itself (by making the clothes appear out of thin air), and has a very charming personality. Apparently, he is just one out of a community of other sentient horses.
  • Daddy Had a Good Reason for Abandoning You: He was basically made one by and for Marshall, Carter and Dark before he was taken into Foundation custody.
  • Disappeared Dad: He claims to have a family, but when the Foundation went to the address he gave, they had already moved out.
  • Instant Costume Change: He makes clothes appear on his body whenever he wants.
  • Made a Slave: He was basically made one by and for Marshall, Carter and Dark before he was taken into Foundation custody.
  • Stepford Smiler: In his interview, he acts chipper and upbeat, but by the end and in his letter to his family, he's shown to be quite upset and lonely.
  • Talking Animal: He's a talking horse.

SCP-1157 - Bifurcating Man

SCP-1157 is a Caucasian man who, in intervals of approximately 4 weeks, will undergo a bifurcation process at precisely 3:08AM, splitting into two identical duplicates of himself as he sleeps. The duplicates will similarly split into a pair of duplicates at the same time that 1157 does. The event is accompanied by a burst of light and energy which disables recording devices. Any clothing or other items worn by 1157or the duplicates will be deposited on the bed underneath them. While each duplicate exhibits their own personality and can make individual choices, they also experience the surface thoughts and impulses of all other instances.

SCP-1158 - Arboreal Jellyfish Puppeteers

SCP-1158 is a species of airborne, carnivorous, arboreal predators superficially resembling the Portuguese man-o-war known to inhabit deciduous rainforest. Research has shown that 1158’s four-meter pneumatophore is filled with hydrogen, providing lift. While airborne, 1158 nestles itself high in the canopy, allowing its feeding and detecting polyps to hang down through the understory to the forest floor. These polyps are effectively camouflaged among the various vines and branches present, and are prehensile to a limited degree. 1158 has not been observed at altitudes greater than the canopy layer, seemingly preferring to remain silently hidden beneath the foliage. Once a victim makes contact with polyps lying on the ground or adjacent to a tree, the strands inject a paralyzing neurotoxin while nearby threads wrap around the victim's extremities.
  • Combat Tentacles: SCP-1158 hides in treetops and dangles prehensile dactylozooid polyp bundles that look like vines down to the forest floor. When the tentacles touch an animal they wrap around its limbs and inject a paralyzing poison. When the victim is immobilized they enter all of its orifices and deliver digestive enzymes that dissolve the animal's internal organs, then absorb the residue.
  • Living Gasbag: SCP-1158 is an airborne, carnivorous predator that resembles a large Portuguese man-o-war (jellyfish). It floats using hydrogen produced from bacterial decay.

SCP-1159 - The Wind Harp

SCP-1159 is an Aeolian wind harp which cannot be written about. This has forced the Foundation to detail all of their information about the harp in audio logs.
  • Painting the Medium: Any attempt to write about the harp (or record any kind of non-verbal information, like photographs) will cause an accident or disaster which will prevent it from being written. This forces the Foundation to keep their documents on it in audio form.
  • Attack on the Heart: A variation of this happened when researchers tried using an unbreakable pencil to write about 1159:
"Subject was given a lead pencil created by Foundation engineers with the purpose of making a pencil able to write under extreme conditions.
Pencil was created with lead alloy tip to prevent breaking and was wrapped in a titanium shell.
On initiation of the test, subject suffered a fatal heart attack.
Further testing has been suspended until further notice.
    End recording."

SCP-1160 - Effective Containment

SCP-1160 is a massive para-natural buzzard roughly 85m in height at the time of recovery, though it has since been reduced to a size of roughly 25cm. Recovered documents indicate that the bird, referred to as "El Ratonero" by the inhabitants of the island where it lived, first appeared in 1765, instigating a series of aggressive attacks against the fishing villages of the island. While it can sustain damage, El Ratonero is capable of rapidly and fully regenerating damaged tissue, and is able to withstand all forms of conventional firearms, as well as explosives below 300kt. Additionally, El Ratonero has a number of insect-like optical organs situated around the head and back, capable of providing a virtually 360-degree perspective of the area around it. These traits, combined with the natural brute strength and speed of the buzzard, make El Ratonero particularly deadly in close combat. The creature is affected by human cognition, the rate at which human perception of El Ratonero increases is directly related to the rate at which it undergoes systemic biological decay, and the number of individuals who are cognizant of its nature is inversely related to its overall size and strength.
  • Animalistic Abomination: A vulture with insect eyes whose size and ferocity is inversely affected by how many people know of its existence.
  • Bland-Name Product: Although the Foundation normally wants to keep knowledge of anomalies under wraps, even when knowledge itself doesn't have any anomalous effects, being unknown just makes 1160 bigger, stronger, and thereby less containable. The Foundation keeps SCP-1160 manageable without breaking their masquerade by distributing "Super Coco Pows" cereal, which has SCP-1160 as its mascot. They've even refined their subliminal messaging so that people don't think of it as a vicious buzzard, but a silly bird that tries to steal the cereal from children. "Super Coco Pows" is based on General Mills' "Cocoa Puffs" cereal, and the mascot is based on Sonny the Cuckoo Bird, the mascot for Cocoa Puffs.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: SCP-1160 has insect-like eyes around its head and neck, giving it 360 degree vision.
  • Feathered Fiend: At first, but due to its effective and hilarious containment procedures, it's harmless now.
  • Giant Flyer: Thanks to its out-of-the-way habitat and killing most of the people that ended up seeing it when it attacked a new village, it was a whopping 85 meters (280 feet) when it was first recovered. Thanks to its containment procedures, it has been reduced to only a measly 25 centimeters (9 inches).
  • Harmless Villain: Thanks to the Foundation's contaiment procedures, it's currently 9 inches tall.
  • Healing Factor: SCP-1160 can quickly and completely regenerate injuries and lost body parts.
  • He Knows Too Much: It increases in size and strength when less people know about it, so it can make itself even stronger by killing people who have seen it.
  • Immune to Bullets: SCP-1160 cannot be damaged by any form of conventional firearm.
  • Logical Weakness: It gets stronger when less people know about it, which also means it can be made weaker by spreading information about its existence to more people.
  • Mundane Solution: This thing grows bigger and stronger when less people are aware of its existence, so the Foundation's answer was to make sure as many people know about it as possible. Their strategy was to turn it into a goofy mascot for a brand of breakfast cereal. Any dip in the market value of Super Coco Pows is to be considered a Level II Info-Hazard Emergency.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Any person simply knowing about its nature causes it to become weaker. The Foundation thus severely weaken it by turning it into a cereal mascot and placing subliminal memetic messages about its nature on the cereal box, which makes it become known globally.

SCP-1161 - How-To Book

SCP-1161 is a black paperback book with a varying number of pages. The book’s title changes every 24 hours at precisely 3:00 A.M., each title invariably beginning with "How to". On a daily basis, the book’s contents and number of pages change completely, unless the book remains open during its scheduled transformation, which will postpone the event to the next time it is 3:00 A.M.. 1161 is only legible to the first individual to touch it after its daily transformation. To all other observers, the book will appear to be blank, with the exception of the title. While the contents of the book vary, it will always contain instructions on how to perform various actions ranging from useful to pointless. The instructions within generally describe the optimal technique to use regarding the action, even leading to the discovery of several previously unknown methods of doing so.

SCP-1162 - Astronaut Joe

SCP-1162 is a suburban three-bedroom house located in the Vastitas Borealis lowland region of Mars. The house and its contents are anomalously resistant to damage, as the inhospitable conditions on Mars' surface would have quickly destroyed a structure of similar make. The kitchen contains two frozen corpses, a man and woman, both dead from asphyxiation and having frozen postmortem from the low temperatures. The rest of the house’s interior is unremarkable, but it has been determined that the second-floor bedroom is the source of abnormally high Hume levels. The bedroom contains several posters of various celestial bodies and NASA space shuttles. A cardboard box in the center of the floor, crudely fashioned into a mock space shuttle, is the epicenter of the Hume levels. The box contains the corpse of a small male child, curled into fetal position and wearing a toy space helmet, which is frozen onto the corpse.

SCP-1163 - Face Swapper

SCP-1163 is an entity identifiable by its abnormal facial structure, characterized by unusually green eyes, a large nose, and a wide mouth. When a human is in sight of 1163, it will immediately cause the subject’s face to restructure into that of itself, while its own face becomes that of the other party. After the faces are switched, the body that has the face of 1163 will be controlled by the entity itself, while the body with the face of the subject will be fully controlled by them, as if it was their own body. 1163 is fully capable of switching back and forth, and there seems to be no limit to the amount of time it can spend with a body, or how rapidly it can switch between bodies. 1163 appears to have a mental capacity similar to a 6-year-old child. It is cooperative, easily coerced with sweet foods, and will readily communicate verbally, but does not seem to suffer from boredom or loneliness when not spoken to.

SCP-1164 - Echoing Epitaph

SCP-1164 is a slab of concrete, 3.6m x 4.5m x 0.3m in dimensions. Should a living human being or an article of clothing worn by a living human being make contact with 1164's surface at any given time, they will adhere to the object's surface and be unable to remove themselves. Five seconds after contact, the subject will begin to be drawn into 1164, starting at the point of contact. While the subject is being absorbed, four male humanoid faces will emerge from the surface of the slab. The manifested faces will echo any noises or vocalizations uttered by the subject in the midst of absorption in the style of a barbershop quartet. When the subject has been completely absorbed, the protruding faces undergo one of two changes. Normally, the faces will often rotate their appearances one direction clockwise. If the absorbed subject was male, one face shifts to resemble the absorbed subject. In all cases, all four faces will then recede into the surface and disappear.

SCP-1165 - Minus Level

SCP-1165 is an alleyway located in a major city. City records indicate that the alley was laid out when the surrounding street was first paved in the early 20th century. When a traveler enters the alley's eastern exit and proceeds westward, there is a 36% possibility that the alley will exit onto a street not accessible by any other means. This street connects to a network of other streets that extend outwards in no particular pattern, none of which can be accessed by any means other than the alley. The streets are lined with buildings mostly demonstrating examples of 20th century American architecture. The vast majority of the buildings appear to be of a business storefront or industrial nature, though 24% have been identified as resembling buildings found in other locations, most notably a 300 m. structure resembling the Eiffel Tower in the distance northeast from the entrance to the alley.
  • Alien Geometries: You enter SCP-1165 by entering from the east side of an alley and exiting out the west side. You leave by reversing the process. Any other permutation of entrances/exits will do nothing unusual.
  • Bizarre Alien Biology: A corpse found during "Survey 1165-248" was described as having no head, no arms, its chest divided between "a dozen fleshy pseudopods", and having no sensory organs.
  • Bottomless Pit: The entire location becomes one if you travel more than roughly 100 kilometers. Specifically, the entire city of endlessness vanishes and is replaced by nothing but sky, no matter how much you try to backtrack. One survey long details what happened when they dispatched an unarmed air vehicle and let it go into freefall after reaching the point where the world turns into a void; it is still transmitting and in freefall years later!
  • Copy-and-Paste Environments: The city bears the same construction pattern for hundreds of kilometers.
  • Eldritch Location: It's basically what a video game Minus World would look like in real life. There's also the buildings being composed of random bits of existing buildings, and grocery stores that are inexplicably stocked with fresh food, albeit food that could cause [REDACTED]. Several people enter and end up lost there for ages or outright die. Because of the nature of the location, they are presumed to be declared missing.
  • The '50s: Judging by the remains of a 1956 Studebaker President and a family reported missing in 1956, the city has existed since then, if not longer.
  • Ghost City: Barring two homeless men who were trapped there and the remains of a missing family, the city is devoid of all human life.
  • Minus World: The whole 'glitched-out reality' concept of the SCP makes this, in essence, a real-life Minus World. There's also the fact that if you travel too far, the entire environment around you turns into a Bottomless Pit from which you can't return, even if you try to fly back to your starting point.
  • Point of No Return: Once you travel more than 100 kilometers, at some point the Bottomless Pit above activates.
  • Shout-Out: To the original Trope Namer found in the American version of the game.
  • Skybox: During Survey 1165-193, the Eiffel Tower replica demonstrates this behavior; it's a permanent background fixture that you can never actually get to.

SCP-1166 - Perfect Lab Specimen

SCP-1166 is a lab rat displaying an appearance consistent with a normal instance of its species. 1166 is sapient, and fully capable of communicating in English with researchers when provided supplies. Extensive tests on 1166 reveal that it is capable of mimicking human biology almost imperceptibly, with analogous reactions to radiation exposure, heat/cold tolerance, rapid decompression, a wide variety of pathogens, and other external factors. Upon death, the rat will spontaneously revive after a period between 18-45 minutes. Tissues, vital organs and bodily fluids are seemingly regenerated prior to revival, to the point where severed limbs have been documented to grow back.

SCP-1167 - Diesmbodied Robot Head

SCP-1167 is an 20cm tall automaton consisting of a control unit attached to a flat base and an articulated arm. The device’s components are of unknown manufacture and utilize an advanced power source that has not required recharging at any point. 1167 is capable of limited locomotion by pushing at the ground with the base of its arm, gradually propelling the control unit forward. 1167 is capable of synthesized speech, but does not respond to questions, instead continually repeating an alert message signaling for recovery or reinforcements. If a nearby person speaks approximately 5 full sentences of a specific language, 1167 will use that language exclusively until the person leaves the immediate area. Between each repetition of the message, 1167 will produce a 1 second burst of static.

SCP-1168 - A Highly Immature and Completely Unofficial Parody

SCP-1168 is a copper sculpture identical to Georgios Fytalis’ Statue of Theseus, though dating indicates it was created years after the genuine sculpture. 1168 displays no anomalous properties while inactive, but it activates whenever 170 or more meters of yarn is placed into its right hand. 1168 will close its right hand around the yarn, which is annihilated by anomalous means as the object enters a "pending" state. While in a "pending" state, it will appear inactive until a human subject fitting "Profile Alpha-1168" or "Profile Beta-1168" enters the sculpture’s radius of effect. When these two people, designated SCP-1168-1 and SCP-1168-2, simultaneously exist, 1168-1 will instantly materialize a wooden club and be encased in a 3m x 3m x 3m cube of ice. 1168-2 will seek instances of 1168-1 and initiate ritualized interactions (namely performing the "Where’s the Caveman?" routine from The Misadventures of Skooks).

SCP-1169 - Lamarck's Giraffe

SCP-1169 is a large glass storage vessel containing a fetal giraffe preserved in formaldehyde. The container includes a glass lid and rubber gasket held closed by a lever mechanism typical of Mason jars, although no brand markings are present. The giraffe shows no genetic abnormalities, but features several internal and external deformities, such as a much shorter neck than is typical for a member of its species. The formaldehyde(designated SCP-1169-1) includes several unusual impurities, including traces of platinum, tungsten, human insulin, and three unidentifiable organic compounds. If inhaled or allowed to remain in prolonged physical contact, 1169-1 will quickly be absorbed into the circulatory system of all plants and animals, and will accumulate in the reproductive organs. Anomalous effects will be demonstrated in the subjects’ offspring, with severity determined by concentration of 1169-1 present in the parent's tissues during gestation. The offspring produced by contaminated subjects will appear physically identical to the parents in almost every way, and will even spontaneously develop physical changes identical to those that parents have experienced at a comparable stage of development.
  • An Arm and a Leg: If an affected parent had an amputated limb, the child will develop necrosis in that limb, which results in said limb being lost as well.
  • Meaningful Name: The SCP is named after Jean-Baptiste Lamarck, who came up with Lamarckism, the idea that an organism can pass on any life-acquired characteristics to its offspring, which is basically what the SCP causes in organisms who come into contact with SCP-1169-1.

SCP-1170 - Romantic Ghost

SCP-1170 is a windowless bedroom located on a second floor of an apartment in a condominium complex in British Columbia. The room appears empty on security footage and room cannot be illuminated by visible light, seeming to absorb all visible wavelengths. The room’s anomalous properties are triggered upon activation of the room's built-in light fixture. Approximately one minute and thirty seconds after the light fixture is activated, an incorporeal entity (hereafter SCP-1170-2) appears on night vision camera. 1170-2's anatomy is humanoid, except for its inverted joints. At some point after 1170-2 appears, both it and foreign objects in the room vanish. Subjects inside 1170 are seen to converse with a partner while 1170-2 is present, the content of these conversations suggests that they are in fact speaking with the entity itself. The sudden emotional changes experienced by subjects conversing with the entity suggest that it may have a memetic effect. 1170-2 has avoided all directed questions about any subjects unrelated to love and romantic partnership.

SCP-1171 - Humans Go Home

SCP-1171 is a two-story house in Queensland, Australia built in 1958. The anomalous properties of 1171 manifest on various windows of the house. A layer of condensation is continuously formed on the windowpanes, regardless of relative humidity. An entity, referred to as SCP-1171-1 and calling itself "Beauremont", communicates by writing in the condensation. No biological traces have been discovered on the windows that can be attributed to Beauremont, though communication with it can be accomplished by writing back. Beauremont identifies as an inhabitant of another world. He claims not to be human, and is prejudiced against humans, as well as actively hostile to them.
  • Aliens Speaking English: His messages are written in English.
  • Bioluminescence Is Cool: Green. See his description of himself below.
  • Caps Lock: His messages are written in all capital letters.
  • Fantastic Racism: Towards humans, although he denies this.
  • Fantastic Slurs: "Carbon-based monkeys", "Gametes", "Primates", "Air-sucking sack of protoplasm", which all help with building up Beauremont's Starfish Aliens nature.
  • The Ghost: Beauremont is never seen, and communicates by writing messages on the windows of SCP-1171.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: For a racist alien, he's not that bad of a guy to have conversations with.
  • Some of My Best Friends Are X: "Some Of My Best Friends Are Humans" - he's in heavy denial about his bigotry towards humans. Also provides the page quote.
  • Starfish Aliens: If Beauremont's words and choices of slurs against humans are any indication, he's nowhere near anything you might find on Earth.
"OH, PRETTY AVERAGE. SEVEN TENDRILS TALL. BROWN CARAPACE. GREEN BIOLUMINESCENCE. BLUE EYES. YOU?"
An oval with five dots and a curved line appears. Two dots were below the line, one above it, and two on the left. It is assessed that this is SCP-1171-1's version of a "smiley face."

SCP-1172 - Double Word Scare

SCP-1172 is a linen bag made from thick flax fibers, rendered green by dye derived from cactus skin. The bag contains 100 white plastic Scrabble tiles, 98 of which are marked with letters of the Roman alphabet, while the remaining two tiles are marked with a drawing of an eye. When tiles are removed from the bag and placed in left-right order in 96% of situations, the tiles form English words often found to have relevance to test subjects, but in some cases the relevance was not apparent until events after the test transpired. Subjects who draw one of the tiles containing the eye symbol have reported the sensation of their fingers being touched from inside the bag.

SCP-1173 - The Islamic Republic of Eastern Samothrace

SCP-1173 is a memetic phenomenon associated with a political body known as the "Islamic Republic of Eastern Samothrace", the currently-recognized government of Eastern Samothrace and the Associated Island Territories. The nation is largely known for semi-constant warfare taking place within its borders, typically centered around religious, ethnic, or political differences. 1173 has the effect of completely erasing all awareness of the IRES from the memory or perception of infected individuals. The persistent spread of 1173 throughout the human population has helped to minimize awareness of the country's difficulties and therefore reduce the amount of assistance its people have received, increasing suffering throughout the region. The initial vector for infection is unknown, but 1173 can be countered through use of an operant sentence ("You hear about that thing down in Samothrace?") spoken aloud in the presence of infected individuals by an uninfected subject. Individuals that have heard the sentence frequently express interest in the ensuing conversation, which invariably leads to a greater degree of interest in Samothracian affairs and appears to permit individuals to retain awareness and knowledge of the IRES.
  • A House Divided: This happens within the Foundation because one side asserts that Eastern Samothrace is a delusion (1) and the other side asserts that it's a real country that the population is being made to forget (A). Even the O5's are part of the whole conflict!
  • Alternate History: Either the existence of Eastern Samothrace (A) or its nonexistence (1) are this. There is no canonical answer.
  • Arc Words: "You hear about that thing down in Samothrace?", which is described as either infecting the individual's mind (1) or curing them of the effects of an amnesia-inducing memetic hazard (A).
  • Child Soldiers: There are accounts of Samothracian children acting as suicide bombers.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Version A of the article describes SCP-1173 as causing this, making the target forget about Eastern Samothrace and becoming oblivious to it, with the amnesia being cured by reciting the Arc Words above.
  • Mind Screw:
  • Qurac: Eastern Samothrace itself. It is allegedly a small, Sunni Islamic, Greek-speaking country located on a group of islands in the Aegean Sea with an enclave bordering with Turkey. Most of the population practices Sunni Islam, with a large minority of Shi'a and Syriac Orthodox Christians, although the latter has largely fled. Its history also dates back to at least the seventeenth century. The question is, is it a real country or a delusion?
  • Wretched Hive: Whether it's real or not, Eastern Samothrace is described as a violent and resource-poor nation. The "thing down in Samothrace" could be a military or religious conflict, massacre, famine, drought, ethnic cleansing, suicide bombing, or worse. Some individuals affected by SCP-1173 even claim to be veterans of a counterinsurgency force that occupied the country, where they witnessed U.S. soldiers committing countless war crimes.

SCP-1174 - The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

SCP-1174 is a localized phenomenon where visual hallucinations of ships will appear within Lake Superior during inclement weather, the ships being designated SCP-1174-1. Instances of 1174-1 are capable of movement at rates commensurate to that of the ship it resembles, travelling in no discernable heading until weather conditions improve. Upon coming into visual range, 1174-1 will attempt to establish communication with approaching vessels by means appropriate. In all cases where contact is made, 1174-1 will claim to be in immediate danger and will request that the vessel approach immediately to assist in evacuating its crew. Any vessels approaching 75 meters of an instance will suffer immediate damage to their hull, resulting in sinking within minutes of approach. SCP-1174-2 are anomalous human beings present aboard vessels sunk as a result of contact with 1174-1. Rather than dying as a result of drowning or hypothermia, 1174-2 remain alive and conscious after submerging and are capable of continuing to live for an undetermined period of time in the lower elevations of Lake Superior. 1174-2 typically live in communities near the site of their shipwreck and continue to possess full recollection of their lives prior to sinking.

    1175- 1199

SCP-1175 - Bovine Icon and Guards

SCP-1175 is the central display of an open-air artistic installation housed in a park, and covering a fenced-in area approximately 0.25 square kilometers. SCP-1175-1 is a representation of a bull's head, painted red and made of welded cast-iron plates. SCP-1175-2 is a series of six statues constructed of various metals in the shape of a human skeleton with a goat's skull, each carrying a unique weapon. The statues become mobile during active periods, acting as guards for 1175-1. 1175-2 will only become hostile if a non-introduced individual attempts to make contact with 1175-1, attempts to damage it, or attempts to remove 1175-2 or from the park. At this point, all instances of 1175-2 will immediately emit sounds described as "screaming" or "screeching" and attack the targeted person, either killing them outright or chasing them to the edge of the affected area. If the targeted person is killed, their remains are brought to 1175-1, at which point its mouth will open and the remains are placed inside before it closes.
  • Dem Bones: SCP-1175-2 is a group of skeletal statues.
  • Living Statue: SCP-1175-2 instances can move around during active periods and guard SCP-1175-1.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: SCP-1175-2 instances resemble a human skeleton with a goat skull.

SCP-1176 - Mellified Man

SCP-1176 is the mummified corpse of a man identified as "Abdallah ibn Salah ibn Ayyub ibn Nasir", the son of an Arabian Sheik presumed to have been approximately 35 years old at the time of death. While Abdallah is clinically dead and does not display any indications of respiration, circulation, or metabolism, his brain, which is largely intact in spite of degradation, exhibits a constant level of electrical activity consistent with deep sleep. In place of all bodily fluids, Abdallah’s body contains a golden fluid of viscous consistency, designated SCP-1176-1. Testing has found this fluid to be chemically identical to clover honey produced by Anatolian honey bees. When kept fully or mostly submerged, the rate of the fluid's production is approximately 0.2 liters per hour, and increases exponentially overtime if not submerged. 1176-1 has been determined to be edible by human beings possessing an AB+ blood type, and possesses properties consistent with a highly concentrated nutritional supplement. Persons of a non-AB+ blood type, upon consuming any amount greater than 0.5ml, begin exhibiting symptoms of a severe allergic reaction within four to ten hours of consumption, resulting in death soon after.
  • Posthumous Character: The SCP was once a man, and he's been dead for almost a thousand years; however, his brain is somehow still alive and active, though it's in "deep sleep".

SCP-1177 - The Coupon Cutter

SCP-1177 is a Latin-American woman of indeterminate age who possesses the ability to exchange severed pieces of her own body for goods and services. A physical examination revealed signs of self-mutilation covering her body, including numerous scars, healing wounds, missing teeth and patches of hair. Her fifth toes and right fourth finger are missing, and her right middle finger has been crudely amputated at the lower joint, as has the upper joint of her right index finger. Tissue samples used are most commonly strips of flesh from her arms or legs, irregularly cut off with a sharp implement, removed and cleaned of blood using a washcloth before being presented. Those who are offered a section of 1177's body recognize it as being detached human flesh, but do not manifest revulsion or surprise, instead accepting it as a form of payment.
  • Fingore: She has cut off parts of her own fingers to use as payment.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: A photo taken by SCP-978 (a camera that shows the subject's greatest desire) shows that all her scars, amputations and other injuries have been fully healed.
  • Self-Harm: She cuts off her own body parts, such as teeth and pieces of flesh, in order to trade for goods and services.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: While anyone who sees her body parts can recognize them as such, they do not feel surprise or disgust, and will accept it as a form of payment.

SCP-1178 - Floating ICBM

SCP-1178 is a Soviet RT-2 Intercontinental Ballistic Missile manufactured sometime between 1962 and 1967. The missile is suspended exactly 1.34 kilometers in the air above a former Soviet missile base. If any vehicle or mammalian organism approaches the base from a distance of 200 kilometers or less, the missile will begin to slowly accelerate from its position above the base. The missile moves very slowly, with the highest speed ever obtained being an estimated 1.6 kph. 1178's secondary effect will initiate in the event that the missile is able to accelerate to a speed greater than 0.2 kph. The early nuclear warning systems of any former Soviet state will begin to indicate an imminent nuclear strike. Starting with radar stations, all equipment possessed by these nations will begin indicating a massive attack coming from any nuclear capable NATO nation.

SCP-1179 - Centralian Fire Demon

SCP-1179 is a giant, animate, vaguely humanoid figure carved from an unknown volcanic rock measuring over 30 meters tall. Witnesses who have seen it have wildly diverging descriptions, generally describing it as "monstrous", although most agree that it is usually armed with a sword and multi-tailed whip composed of fire. Though of great size, it is capable of moving quickly and quietly. Those who survive encounters with 1179 generally describe it as smelling of "rotten eggs and old chimneys". Chemical analysis of 1179’s breath has shown exceptionally high concentrations of carbon monoxide and sulfur dioxide. 1179 has also demonstrated the ability to change shape at will, as well as become invisible and without form, appearing as a giant flying shade.
  • Deadly Gas: Its breath contains high concentrations of carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide.
  • Elemental Weapon: It's frequently described as carrying a multi-tailed flaming whip.
  • Our Demons Are Different: Its appearance varies from viewer to viewer, it's constantly burning, and it closely resembles both the Norse fire giant Surtr and a Balrog.
  • Flaming Sword: It's often described as carrying a giant, blazing sword.
  • Invisibility: In addition to its fire powers, 1179 also possesses the ability to become invisible.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: It can change its shape at will.

SCP-1180 - A Lovely Bunch of Coconuts

SCP-1180 is a coconut palm which has been claimed to intentionally drop coconuts on the heads of unsuspecting passersby. The tree’s only outwardly anomalous trait is a rattling or knocking sound that emanates from its fruit, which grow louder as the drupes reach maturity. While the tree itself is vulnerable to damage, subjects instructed to open, crack, or otherwise damage its coconuts experience significant emotional distress, dying soon after damaging the fruit. The subjects' heads have been found missing from their bodies after death, after which a new coconut will grow on the tree, making the similar rattling/knocking sound as its neighboring fruit.

SCP-1181 - Interactive Kaleidoscope

SCP-1181 is a circular clearing, 2048 meters in diameter, in a game preserve. When a living animal passes through the center of 1181, an impenetrable spherical barrier will activate and surround the clearing. Any objects present on the perimeter when 1181 is activated will be split apart either side of the perimeter. Once the activator moves a random distance between 2 and 8 meters from the center of 1181, 3 exact copies of them will appear around the center, facing outwards and arranged equally separate from each other. If the activator moves away from the center, they and their copies will be copied again at random distances. 1181 will deactivate if the activator either dies or passes through the central point more than once. Should the activator die, they, their copies, and any remains will disappear.

SCP-1182 - Clockwork Octopus

SCP-1182 is a small sculpture of an octopus, constructed from a combination of wire, copper, and titanium alloy. When held by a subject (referred to as SCP-1182-1), 1182 causes an unexplained reaction on 1182-1’s pigmentation, rendering the subject effectively invisible. If 1182 is released, the subject appears to "blink" back into existence. While holding 1182, the subject perceives their surroundings as if they are completely filled with water. The presence of sea life, ranging from fish to coral to aquatic vegetation, has been reported in all cases. Conversation with 1182-1 is impossible as the subject hears only gurgling noises. When 1182-1 moves, they feel as though they are swimming.

SCP-1183 - Piles of Everything

SCP-1183 is a remote island in the south Pacific, 18km long by 8km wide. Every 126 hours and 14 minutes, the island manifests a pile of objects covering up to 85% of its surface. The area covered changes from manifestation to manifestation, and freshly-uncovered areas possess low vegetation. The objects always belong to a single class, the breadth of which varies somewhat, such as a manifestation of laptop computers of all makes and models, and a subsequent manifestation of MacBook Pros. 76% of all manifestations thus far have been man-made objects, whereas the remaining 16% have consisted of human or animal body parts. Objects manifested appear normal in every way while they remain, and man-made objects appear in ready-to-use condition.

SCP-1184 - Truth

SCP-1184 is a gold ring in the style of a wedding band engraved with the word "Veritas" (Latin for "truth") on the inside. 1184 has an unusually high density, higher than almost any terrestrial material. While wearing the ring, everything the wearer says is accepted as the absolute truth by anyone able to understand them. Simple, easily accepted statements are taken at face value without surprise, while statements which are clearly at odds with reality may create a significant amount of cognitive dissonance. 1184's effect only manifests when both the speaker and listeners understand the language being spoken, and listeners are hearing the sound directly from the speaker's lips. Attempts to utilize 1184 for its beneficial effects have been hampered by the fact that it also affects the speaker, who will become equally convinced of the truth of their statements.
  • Mind Manipulation: The SCP is a gold ring that causes anything the wearer says to be accepted as truth by anyone who hears and understands it.
  • The Caligula: The ring was previously worn by a male patient of a psychiatric facility who used the ring to convince his fellow patients and the hospital's faculty that he was their "King" and that he should be waited on hand and foot. When the Foundation finally managed to take the ring, he'd been wearing it for so long that he could no longer remember his real name; all of the hospital's records and nametags had also been altered to refer to him as the "King".

SCP-1185 - Self-Supplying Gasoline Pump

SCP-1185 is a set of gasoline pumps that feature identical manufacturer's marks. When in close proximity to soil, the pumps extend fibrous tendrils from their bases towards the soil. These tendrils are metallic in composition, and are capable of penetrating several inches of concrete or asphalt that should stand between them and soil. Upon contact, the tendrils branch out to form a pseudo-root-system of metallic fibers. These fibers are hollow, allowing them to convey organic molecules to the pump, where a series of chemical reactions convert them into the component molecules of gasoline.

SCP-1186 - Cochlear Cicadas

SCP-1186 is a species of cicada which remain in their nymphal stage for the entirety of their life, and show no signs of metamorphosis typical of other cicada species. 1186’s physiology is optimized for the extraction and consumption of human endolymph, their sole food source, such as an elongated, retractable proboscis. Due to the loss of endolymph, hosts of 1186 regularly experience deafness and balance disorder. After occupying the human ear for a period of one week, 1186 will begin emitting vibrations directly to the skull via bone conduction. These vibrations are then interpreted as the chanting of Mahayana Buddhist sutras, narrated in the respective host's language.

SCP-1187 - Stationary ATV

SCP-1187 is a blue 2006 Kazuma 150cc All-Terrain Vehicle. When the accelerator is engaged, 1187 remains stationary while the surface beneath its wheels shifts horizontally. Continued operation will shear an increasing amount of material from below the top layer, eventually excavating a furrow and depositing it towards the vehicle’s rear at an increasing rate of speed. Manipulating the steering column will rotate 1187 and shift the area of influence, whereas pplying the brakes will slow and eventually cease the effect.

SCP-1188 - Matter-Displacing Flashlight

SCP-1188 appears to be a standard black flashlight with unremarkable appearance. 1188 accepts ordinary D batteries and activates via a toggle button. When active, instead of producing a beam of light, 1188 temporarily displaces matter in a truncated cone from its bulb. Matter within the cone appears completely eradicated, leaving a "hole" through whatever 1188 is being pointed at. The flashlight can be freely redirected, causing the "hole" to shift. Matter which is no longer being displaced reappears unharmed, and switching the flashlight off causes all displaced matter to reappear.

SCP-1189 - The Sound

SCP-1189 is a sound measuring forty decibels originally found in an abandoned recording studio. 1189 has no discernible physical source, though it appears to originate from the apparent center of a pale green glow. Subjects that hear it become entirely unresponsive for periods of time ranging from fifteen minutes to two hours. Upon emerging from this state, affected subjects appear frantic and immediately attempt to cause others to hear 1189. Due to these effects, knowledge of the sound produced is limited to meter readings.

SCP-1190 - Universal Simulator

SCP-1190 is a 1973 Hewlett Packard 3000 computer system. Installed on the device is a program that performs physics simulations detailing the origins and activities of the universe. Observation of the simulation suggests that it is capable of simulating physical phenomena beyond humankind’s current understanding. Attempts to decompile the program or to move it to a different device have failed, as it appears corrupt to all observations and actions beyond running it on 1190. Any individual who activates the program will become fascinated with the simulation, being designated SCP-1190-1. They will be compelled to intervene in the development of the virtual universe, causing it to proceed according to the individual's personal ideals.

SCP-1191 - Criminal Past

SCP-1191 is a rotten willow branch with a prominent kink 31 cm from the base. Any physical manipulation of 1191 with the intent of examining, moving, damaging, or otherwise directly affecting the object results in the activation of its anomalous properties. Subjects handling the object report immediate panic and disorientation, beginning to quickly, and without provocation, protest their innocence. Further investigation has revealed that these subjects have born witness to memories of an alternate timeline in which they were accused of committing a particular act of violence. Affected subjects retain these memories indefinitely, although they gradually re-acquire memories of the regular timeline over forty hours after contact.

SCP-1192 - "Timmy"

SCP-1192 is a juvenile male Gang-gang Cockatoo which has been found to be possessed by an entity that refers to itself as "Timmy". As a result, he is sapient, exhibiting intelligence and common knowledge consistent with that of a child between 6 and 8 years old. Timmy appears to show naivety regarding his bird body, as he is unusually disheveled, suggesting that he is unable or unwilling to preen himself, and has difficulty flying despite his being healthy and uninjured. Timmy is capable of drawing and playing video games, as well as communicating with staff through crude sentences when provided a pencil and paper.
  • Creepy Child: More like "Creepy Bird With The Mind of a Child" — he's a good kid, but his circumstances are very unsettling.
  • Forced Transformation: One theory regarding him is that a malevolent entity turned him into a bird and is impersonating him back home.
  • Intellectual Animal: Downplayed because he has a young child's mind, but this still makes him smarter than the average parrot.
  • I Want My Mommy!: A tragic version; on a page, he wrote "i wan my mom" [sic].
  • Madness Mantra: When given paper and pencil to write with, he wrote "mom" 126 times and "home" 76 times on one page.
  • Polly Wants a Microphone: Averted. He communicates in writing.

SCP-1193 - Buried Giant

SCP-1193 is a human arm of unusual length located in a drainage pipe in the basement of a telephone switching station in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ten centimeters below the drainage grate, the arm terminates in a hand of indeterminate gender. SCP-1193-02 is a topaz yellow GPO 746 telephone manufactured in 1971, attached to a conventional twisted-pair line which enters the drainage pipe containing 1193 and descends parallel to it. Between 0838 and 1034 hours Mountain Standard Time each day, the phone will ring five times. If answered, an unidentified voice will willingly engage in conversation. The voice on the other end of the line invariably claims to be a human being, and regularly mistakes the individual on the other end for an authority figure.

SCP-1194 - Damaged Toy Horse

SCP-1194 is a small device consisting of a speaker attached to a pull-string and a plastic case. Upon being pulled by a female subject, 1194 is activated, causing the manifestation of SCP-1194-2, an organism largely similar in physiology and morphology to an adult horse, advertised on a torn document recovered with 1194 as "Dr. Wondertainment’s Wonder-Pony!". Upon activation, 1194-2 will appear on the nearest suitable flat surface. Instances have displayed various sizes, breeds, and both sexes, but are notable for various biological irregularities. These include the inability to vocalize, an inability to excrete waste, and the presence of pigments not usually found in mammals on their coats. The death of an 1194-2 specimen, that of the relevant subject, or the string of 1194 being pulled during an active state, will cause the current instance to disappear.
  • All Girls Like Ponies: SCP-1194-1, a toy created by Dr. Wondertainment, is a pull string speaker that manifests a living horse for its owner to take care of.
  • Death by Despair: If separated from their human for a long enough period of time, SCP-1194-2 will die within 14 days.
  • Noodle Incident: SCP-1194-1 was first discovered in the house of its previous owner, who committed suicide due to reasons unknown.
  • The Speechless: The horse (known as SCP-1194-2) is incapable of producing any vocalization for some unknown reason.

SCP-1195 - Child's Storybook

SCP-1195 is a book of indeterminate origin and age, bound in leather that matches no known species. 1195's anomalous properties become apparent whenever it is opened. Most often, the first page is blank, but after a moment, the object will attempt to communicate via written text "bleeding" onto the page. Upon being activated, 1195 will make one of various requests, most commonly to be told a story. When a story is directed towards it, 1195 will begin transcription. If allowed pauses during the story, 1195 will offer criticism, encouragement, or other comments depending on the oratory skill, imagination, or interest of the speaker. All attempts to coax 1195 into divulging information about its origins, history, and personal data have met with failure, as 1195 states that it would need "permission" to share these facts.

SCP-1196 - Chairopractors

SCP-1196 is the basement of an abandoned spinal health clinic, with concrete walls and an unfinished floor. 1196’s anomalous properties arise when a chair is introduced to it. As soon as the legs of a chair are allowed contact with the floor, it becomes an instance of SCP-1196-1, gaining sentience and the ability to move independently. 1196-1 are able to speak English through unknown means, consisting of short, clipped sentences spoken in a high-pitched voice. The chairs will vocalize when a human being is inside 1196, usually uttering commands that refer to spinal health and posture of the subject. If a human being spends more than 30 minutes within 1196, all instances of 1196-1 will fixate upon them. After approximately 80 minutes, 1196-1 will begin to assault the subject, ramming, stabbing, and crushing them. The population will repeat these actions until the subject either escapes or is killed. Despite being non-sapient, 1196-1 appear to display remorse for these actions, vocalizing various apologetic phrases.

SCP-1197 - Room For One

SCP-1197 is a hotel suite containing a bedroom, bathroom, and typical furnishings. The windows on the far wall of the bedroom cannot be opened, and the walls, floor, and ceiling cannot be breached by any known means. 1197 can be occupied and freely vacated in any amount of time, provided the occupant does not open SCP-1197-1, a doorway in the western wall of the suite. Although it appears to connect to the adjacent suite, 1197-1 remains locked unless the entrance door is closed. Opening 1197-1 will reveal an identical version of 1197, including its current occupants, who appear to have opened their version of 1197-1 at the same moment. These duplicates exhibit accurate knowledge in response to questions of identity, and act in a similar manner.

SCP-1198 - Endless Echo

SCP-1198 is a wav. sound file lasting 37.2 seconds. To unaided human hearing, it appears to be silent, but audio analysis has revealed it is actually a recording of a high-frequency soundwave beyond the limits of normal human hearing. When transposed to a lower frequency, the soundwave is observed as a complicated, non-repeating sequence of atonal screeches, arrhythmic pauses, and pure tones. Although every subject who hears the file describes it as unsettling, it only displays anomalous properties when played at its original frequency. After being exposed to the entirety of 1198 at any volume between 35 and 65 dB, subjects will begin to hear any sounds directly caused by them starting to echo. This includes speech, their footsteps, and internal bodily sounds such as breathing. These echoes initially fade within a few moments, but over the course of 48 hours, the duration of the echoes increases to the point that they no longer disappear.

SCP-1199 - Fleshtone Paint

SCP-1199 is a can of house paint originating from an unknown manufacturer, filled to 50% of its volume with a beige liquid resembling acrylic paint. Throughout testing, it was noted that this level does not fall unless the item is open and inverted. When spread onto a surface, the liquid takes on a slight red tone, which becomes a pale white when it dries. Within the first hour of drying, painted surfaces will begin to radiate a small amount of heat, and will become slightly glossy due to the secretion of sebaceous oil. Microscopic examination shows that this occurs because the fluid’s structure identical to that of human skin. Treated surfaces will collect environmental debris, "shed" disused layers, and are reactive to ultraviolet light by way of melanin production.
