"In 1967 in New York City, after weeks of unrest and rioting caused by young people, the news began to run a phrase at the beginning of every broadcast. 'It's 10pm. Do you know where your children are?'"
Jonah

The group feels more fractured than ever when Molly arrives with a devastating message from her parents; the kids must stop their parents before it's too late.

  • All Your Base Are Belong to Us: Jonah has the Church of Gibborim take over security of the construction site from the firm hired by Geoffrey Wilder.
  • Bavarian Fire Drill: Subverted when Karolina tries to use her status to browbeat a Church of Gibborim member into letting the group onto the dig site. He doesn't believe her and calls her father to confirm, resulting in the adults finding out about the group's plan.
  • The Big Damn Kiss: Two of them; one between Chase and Gert (which promptly leads to other things) and another between Karolina and Nico.
  • The Bus Came Back: Darius Davis shows up again, trying to find out what is Geoffrey up to and take it from him.
  • Children Are Innocent: Young Amy is understandably oblivious that her mom's friend who's playing with her at the time is not a good guy.
  • Cliffhanger: The episode ends just before the kids face off with their parents.
  • Continuity Nod: Alex suggests naming themselves the Runaways after the kids they couldn't save and who they "failed to avenge," bringing to mind the Avengers.
  • Dead Man Writing: A video version. The Hernandezes mention that if Molly's watching the video, it means they've failed.
  • Didn't See That Coming: Tina expected Nico to take the Staff, Janet expected Chase to take the Fistigons, Dale and Stacey expected Gert to take Old Lace, Geoffrey expected Alex to take the keycard (though they thought he might take the gun too, which he didn't), and Leslie was aware of the possibility that Karolina had her powers—though she had really hoped she didn't. But no one in PRIDE expected Molly to have powers.
  • The Dog Bites Back: The implication that Graciela knows more than she's letting on is confirmed in this episode where she backstabs the Yorkes by holding off telling them about Molly's disappearance.
  • Fling a Light into the Future: The Hernadezes do this with their video for Molly, hoping that she can stop what they couldn't.
  • High-School Dance: The backdrop of the episode. The kids use the dance as their excuse to go out for the night so they can sneak into PRIDE's dig site and smash up the place, though the plan ultimately falls through.
  • Internal Reveal: PRIDE learns that their children know about their plans, and also about Karolina's powers.
  • It Meant Something to Me: Chase's dejected expression when Gert dismisses their sexual encounter as a one-time fling makes it clear he thought of it as more than that.
  • Jerk Ass Has A Point: Chase admits that this is often the case with Gert.
Chase: Most of the time, I don't even know what the hell she's talking about. Apparently there are a lot of ways to offend someone, but... once in a while, she does make a good point.
  • Non-Answer: When the PRIDE press Jonah for some actual details about this "renewable energy source" he's promised them.
Jonah: Please, huh? Let's not get distracted from this joyous occasion. Everything we've worked for has finally come to fruition!
Stacey: Y'know, he never really answers a question. You ever notice that?
  • Not Me This Time: Geoffrey pointedly looks at Tina when Jonah mentions that one of them came forward about their kids' actions.
    Tina: Don't look at me. I'm not saying I wouldn't, but I didn't.
  • Nothing Is the Same Anymore: With basically all of the secrets, both of the kids and the adults, out in the open by the end of the episode, it's safe to say that the fragile status quo has finally shattered.
  • Now or Never Kiss: Karolina kisses Nico, knowing she might not get another chance after what they're about to do.
  • Oh, Crap!: PRIDE has a few over the course of the episode:
    • Dale and Stacey get one when they realize that Molly has ran away from Graciela's house and that the latter has no intention of helping them find her. And then they get another one when Jonah demands an immediate meeting.
    • The group as a whole then gets one of these when Jonah reveals that the kids know all about what PRIDE has been doing and when they find out the kids have taken the Staff of One, Old Lace, the Fistigons, and Geoffrey's clearance card to the construction site.
    • Two in the closing moments back-to-back: the first when the kids make it clear that they aren't going home without a fight, and the second when Karolina activates her powers and reveals them to the adults.
  • Pre-Climax Climax: Gert and Chase finally act on their Unresolved Sexual Tension while alone at the dance.
  • The Reveal: Leslie killed the Hernandezes.
  • Shame If Something Happened: In the flashback, Jonah not-so-subtly threatens Tina when he's playing with Amy.
  • Skewed Priorities: In the middle of a mission to save the world, Gert decides it's a good time to get mad at Chase for the fact that they haven't discussed their relationship after they just had sex.
  • Summon to Hand: Tina pulls the Staff of One out of Nico's hands from a considerable distance and into her own when PRIDE confronts the group at the dig site. She semi-sarcastically comments that she would've taught the same trick to Nico had their lessons continued.
  • Title Drop: When Gert mentions giving their group a nickname, Alex suggests "Runaways" in honour of the kids sacrificed to Jonah. The other kids consider it too depressing, and time will tell if they come around.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: In the video, Molly's parents relate that whatever Jonah is digging for is not some "energy source" but a dangerous element by a fault line that, if struck, can cause massive earthquakes across the entire state. As they were silenced before they could tell the others, the rest of the Pride is unaware of how Jonah is using them.
