Cheryl has the Pretty Poisons beat up Toni's friends Sweet Pea and Fangs, and Toni is furious. Cheryl then threatens to make Toni homeless again if Toni leaves her, as they live in Cheryl's house. Veronica wants to end her father's criminal empire but is thwarted by Gladys Jones. Polly convinces Alice to do the cult entrance rituals the Farm requires which includes drowning. Betty gets to the Sister's of Quiet Mercy in time to save Alice. Archie takes up boxing for some reason.
Tropes
- All for Nothing: Archie gives up a hefty chunk of cash and an inside track in the local boxing scene, but ends up losing the fight anyway.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Archie may be strong and tough, but he is still a teenager on his first fight whose only previous experience in prizefighting was a very shady bare-knuckle affair... while Ronson is an experienced and far larger professional boxer. Archie gets manhandled early in the bout and his Heroic Second Wind only gets him as far as losing by split decision instead of getting knocked out.
- Throwing the Fight: Elio offers Archie 5,000 dollars to take a dive in his debut boxing match. After initially agreeing, Archie backs out and decides to fight for real... only to lose the bout anyway on a split decision.
