The episode begins with Benson and Skips in a meeting with Mr. Maellard. His son Pops is supposed to give a speech at a park statue dedication, but has ran off. He tells Benson and Skips to go find him or their fired. Next, we see Pops sitting on a swing, crying. Mordecai and Rigby approach him and ask what's wrong. Pops states that he's a no good slop jockey and he's going to strawberry jam the whole thing up. A confused look is shared between the two, but decide to help Pops get over his fear of public speaking. They try having him speak to an invisible crowd, in front of other people, and even imagine Mordecai and Rigby naked. Pops immediately states that he hated the idea.
The pair have one final idea and proposes that Pops spin around in circles. Pops is delighted and feels like he's ready to give the speech. Meanwhile, Benson and Skips are running around the park, frantically searching for Pops. They ask Muscle Man, who, for once, doesn't make a "My Mom" joke. He states that he last saw Pops with Mordecai and Rigby. Back at the pair, Pops is still spinning and manages to trip and fall into some sort of portal, sending him into an alternate universe. Mordecai runs off for help and Rigby watches over unconscious Pops.
In the alternate world, Pops meets a pair of animals named Iacedrom and Ybgir, who are really Mordecai and Rigby's names backwards (and who look much more like an actual blue jay and raccoon). The pair state that it's against the law to give speeches and not enjoy ice cream. Back at the park, Mordecai finally meets with Benson and Skips and shows them where Pops was. They arrive and see that Rigby was drawing on his face. Skips assess the situation and states that the only to save Pops is to go inside of him. Mordecai and Rigby hold hands and spin around, making themselves dizzy and able to get into the world.
Upon entering, they see that Pops is actually okay. Mordecai and Rigby tells Pops that he needs to come back, but he doesn't want to. In the process, he manages to give a speech about not wanting to leave, with no effort. Mordecai and Rigby realizes that when Pops doesn't face a crowd, he can easily give a speech. However, Iacedrom and Ybgir are angry that Pops broke one of their laws and try to attack and punish him. Luckily, the trio make it back to the park, via the rope that Mordecai and Rigby used to connect them to the surface. The group enjoy their victory, but Benson stresses that Pops can't give a speech with marker all over his face. Mordecai has a solution and draws a marker face on the other side of Pops' head. At the ceremony, Pops gives a simple one line sentence, much to the group's dismay.
At the end of the episode, Mordecai and Rigby decide that the party is lame and they try to go back to the Dizzy World.

- Face Doodling: Rigby draws on Pops and claims it's a nervous habit.
- Imagine the Audience Naked: Parodied; Mordecai and Rigby tell Pops to imagine them being naked so he can give his speech to them. The two of them already are naked, but Pops is disgusted nonetheless.
- Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Iacedrom and Ybgir were supposed to have British accents, but it's so horrible, J.G. Quintel and William Salyers should've probably just stuck to speaking normally or getting voice actors who can do a British accent (whether or not they were actually British).
- Sdrawkcab Name: The Dizzy World counterparts to Mordecai and Rigby are named Iacedrom and Ybgir.
- Subverted Catchphrase:Benson: Muscle Man, have you seen Pops at all today?
Muscle Man: Yeah, and you know who else has seen Pops today?
Benson: [dryly] Who, your mom?
Muscle Man: I wasn't gonna say that! Why does everyone always think I'm gonna say "my mom"? - "Well Done, Son" Guy: Pops wants to make his father proud in this episode (and succeeds in the end).
