Earth Mission to Moon
The gang recreates the Apollo 11 mission to the moon.- Accidental Misnaming: Mindy calls Buzz Aldrin "Buzz Oatmeal."
- Casual Interstellar Travel: Lampshaded. It took the Apollo 11 astronauts three days to get to the moon. Jet states that his family's saucer can get to the moon in three minutes.
- Claustrophobia: Sean admits that he feels weird in cramped spaces.
- Historical Figures in Archival Media: This episode shows archival footage of the Apollo 11 launch, as well as Neil Armstrong's famous 'one small step' quote.
- Match Cut: The episode opens with a shot of the Earth, then cuts to a shot of Mindy's soccer ball that is painted to look like Earth.
- Mission Control: Mindy and Carrot serve as mission control while the others recreate the Apollo 11 mission.
- Pinky Swear: Jet pinky promises Mindy that he will return her soccer ball.
- Something We Forgot: Jet accidentally forgot Mindy's soccer ball on the moon. Mindy isn't pleased.
- Stock Footage: Face 9000 shows the real-life Apollo 11 launch, as well as footage of the scientists on Earth.
- Tickertape Parade: The gang throws their own ticker tape parade to celebrate their re-enactment of the Apollo 11 mission.
- The Voice: Jet's cousin, Zerk, calls him on his wrist phone to ask him for help on a school assignment.
Mindy's Moon Bounce House
Jet gives Mindy an anti-gravity bracelet for her birthday.- Ageless Birthday Episode: We don't know what age Mindy became in this episode.
- Binocular Shot: Used when Mitchell uses his binoculars to spy on Mindy and the others.
- Birthday Episode: It's Mindy's birthday.
- Cassandra Truth: Mitchell tried to tell his mom that he saw Mindy floating by on a kite string, but then Mitchell's mom just says that she's glad that he has such a "wonderful imagination."
- Establishing Character Moment: When Mitchell first appears, he is shown spying on Mindy's birthday party. The fact that he wasn't invited to the party shows that he's an outsider to the group, and his spying shows us that he's a wannabe detective. Later, he tells his mom that he saw Mindy floating by on a kite string. His mom doesn't believe him, showing that Mitchell is not taken seriously as a detective.
- "I Am" Song: While jumping in her bounce house, Mindy sings "My Name is Mindy."
- Jet Pack: At the end of the episode, Jet uses his jet pack to retrieve a model rocket stuck in a tree.
- Lack of Imagination: Mitchell's mom thinks that Mitchell has a wonderful imagination, which he protests by saying that he's got a terrible imagination.
- Little Miss Snarker: When Sean attempts to demonstrate gravity to Mindy and fails to catch a ball.Sean: Do you know why that happened?Mindy: Because you can't catch?
