When Dion is taken to the hospital with a mysterious ailment, Nicole and Pat worry his powers may be discovered.

- Cassandra Truth: Nicole desperately tries to convince Kat that Dion has superpowers, but Dion is unable to show them due to his sickness. Only when his powers acccidently activate during his sleep, causing Dion to levitate, does Kat finally believe Nicole.
- Creepy Child: Brayden becomes quite scary when he gets mad at Charlotte, and begins to mentally call her out on leaving him on the farm with his aunt, or that she won't help him while she is helping Dion. Charlotte flees the farm as quickly as she can.
- From Bad to Worse: When Kat finally learns about Dion's powers, she agrees this has to stay secret and agrees to delete his medical files. Unfortunately, she is caught in the act, and since she can't tell the truth about why she deleted those files, she is fired.
- The Reveal: We learn this episode that Walter Mills' son Brayden has telepathic powers.
- Shout-Out: The episode's title is taken from The Joker's famous line "Why So Serious?"
- Sick Episode: For Dion. He gets sick after trying to use his Healing Hands on Pat.
- Two Lines, No Waiting: Besides the A-plot of Dion getting hospitalized, there is a B-plot about Charlotte going to the farm of Walter Mills, only to find he has been killed by the Crooked Man, and that he has a son named Brayden.
