The Phantom Ranger manages to find Zordon and contacts the Rangers. However, he's intercepted by Divatox's forces.

- Batman Gambit: Dark Specter orders Divatox to get moving with Zordon, and Astronema to attack the Earth. He knows the Rangers will immediately give up searching for Zordon in order to keep innocent civilians safe.

- Hope Spot: Phantom Ranger is this close to Zordon and successfully contacts the Rangers, but by the time they arrive, Dark Specter's ship is already gone. The trail also vanishes before Alpha can get a signal lock.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: Divatox lamenting how she's gone from Big Bad to ferrying a captured Zordon around.
- Oh, Crap!: Elgar when Divatox starts yelling at him.
- Right in Front of Me: When calling to warn her of the Rangers' impending arrival, Elgar says that Astronema is the smartest boss he ever had. Divatox was standing just out of frame and thus heard every word. She immediately grabs the phone and starts yelling at Elgar.
- Spanner in the Works: Phantom Ranger was shadowing Divatox's forces, but a Piranatron noticed his shimmer effect and warned Divatox just as he was sending a message to the Rangers.
- Villain Ball: Ecliptor prefers to finish Phantom Ranger, so he orders the sizable number of mooks to depart. The Rangers arrive soon afterwards and thus have a numbers advantage.
- Villain: Exit, Stage Left: Ecliptor would nonetheless like to try fighting all the Rangers at once, but Astronema orders him to depart.
- Villainous Demotivator: Dark Specter warns Astronema not to fail him or else he'll crush the Dark Fortress while she sleeps.
- We Will Meet Again: The Phantom Ranger's departing messages to the group and Cassie specifically.
- Wham Episode: The Rangers gain a new Megazord.
- You Are Too Late: By the time the Rangers get to the planet, Dark Specter's ship has escaped with Zordon.
- You Have Failed Me: Dark Specter makes it clear he operates by this. He warns Astronema not to fail him or else he'll crush the Dark Fortress while she sleeps.
