As the Beast Morphers Team scuffle over who should be leader, Evox and his forces begins their plans to steal Morph-X.
Episode Tropes:
- Big Bad Wannabe: Scrozzle. After declaring himself the "king" of the Cyber Dimension, he tries to force Roxy and Blaze to obey him. Then Evox pops up and Scrozzle almost immediately begins begging for mercy.
- No Clear Leader: The whole premise of most of this episode is this trope, with the recently-formed Beast Morphers team attempting to set up a leader, arguing the whole way until it's ultimately Devon who becomes the leader after he calls out the others for letting the feud get the better of them. Ironically, a leader had been chosen by the commander beforehand, but we never find out who it was.
- Only Sane Man: Devon in this episode. Compared to his teammates, who were arguing about being the leader of the Rangers, he knows that it's more important to defeat the bad guys, even telling Ravi and Zoey to stop fighting. It was these qualities that led to Ravi and Zoey deeming him the leader at the end.Devon: "Guys, Stop fighting each other and start fighting them!"
- Pyrrhic Victory: The first battle. The Rangers defeat Cycletron and the Tronics, but Blaze and Scrozzle escape with the Morph-X. Also the Rangers all fall victim to their weakpoints, rendering Zoey and Ravi temporarily incapacitated.
- Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: Scrozzle's reaction upon seeing the Rangers morph.
- Second Episode Introduction: This episode introduces the Beast Bots (Cruise, Smash, and Jax), and the Rangers Zords. On the villain side, we're introduced to Scrozzle and the Tronics.
- Settle It Without Weapons: In the middle of his fight with Devon, Blaze throws aside his sword and fights him hand-to-hand.Blaze: "How about another karate lesson, Devon?"
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Ravi and Zoey spend the first half of the episode arguing over who should be the leader, with Ravi arguing that he was the only one chosen to be a Power Ranger, while Zoey arguing that she has better organization skills. Fortunately, they make up.
- Also applies to Blaze and Scrozzle. It's pretty clear they're only working together out of necessity.
- The Unreveal: Although the commander had her own pick for the leader of the group, Zoey and Ravi interrupt her before she can give her opinion.
- Weaksauce Weakness: This episode reveals that when the Rangers gained their powers, a little bit of Evox's Virus was in the DNA structure, giving them weaknesses such as: Devon freezing up when he sees a dog, Ravi going berserk when he overheats from his Gorilla powers, and Zoey growing fatigue from overexerting herself.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Devon chews out Ravi and Zoey for letting their feud get the better of them, and letting Blaze and Scrozzle get away with some Morph-X. He even goes so far as to point out that Betty and Ben - the show's comic relief duo - had better teamwork.
