Ravi secretly follows his passion, but a strange budding artist gets the credit for Ravi's latest work. Ravi must now try to hid his artistic talent while investigating this new painter...
Episode Tropes:
- Alliterative Title: Artist Anonymous
- An Aesop: Always tell the truth, because lying can hurt people. Ravi learns that the hard way.
- A secondary one: let your children embrace their passions, even if it conflicts with your expectations of them. Commander Shaw admits that she should have been less rigid and more open-minded when raising Ravi.
- Big Damn Heroes: After Keytron locks their transporters down, Commander Shaw ends up showing up with the weapons in person.
- Blatant Lies:
- Ravi was totally just checking out the mysterious mural.
- Also "Mayor Daniels" was completely unaware that the French artist he hired was Keytron in disguise.
- Brick Joke: At the beginning of the episode, while checking out the mural, Betty ends up getting stuck on a light pole. At the end of the episode, it's revealed she's still on it, due to enjoying bouncing on the fire department's rescue trampoline.
- Call-Back: Scrozzle upgrades Keydrone with Gamerdrone's Morph X draining dome ability.
- Also, Ravi's love of art and his fear of his mother's disapproval is the main focus of this episode, acting as a follow up to the events of "Gorilla Art".
- Comically Missing the Point: As usual, Steel.Steel: "I'm lost. Who's remodeling?"
- Continuity Nod: Steel makes a reference to Cruise's tendency to forget things.
- Didn't Think This Through: Robo-Blaze and Robo-Roxy had the right idea to have Keytron infiltrate GB headquarters, but as Evox pointed out, simply having him march into the base was hardly the best method.
- Everybody Knew Already: Because Ravi has kept his love of art a secret for so long, it's difficult for him to stop lying about it even to his fellow Rangers who already know his secret.
- Evil Laugh: Initially played straight, then subverted. Evox and Keytron start laughing evilly, only for Evox to glare at Pierre, shutting him up.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: A minor one. The last Tronic accidentally steps into a bucket of Scrozzle's explosive paint, which Steel promptly detonates.
- Hypocrite: Commander Shaw's has no hobbies are a distraction attitude and yet she was out running (she was also not in uniform) when she saw Ravi with paint on his hands.
- Made of Explodium: Scrozzle's special paint is not only highly explosive, it can be detonated remotely.
- Mythology Gag: The concept of a paint-based explosive was previously used in Power Rangers Turbo episode "Shadow Rangers".
- Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: Keytron teleports away when all five Rangers confront him.
- Shoo Out the Clowns: Ben and Betty don't feature that much in this episode. They appear briefly at the beginning and at the very end.
- So Proud of You: Commander Shaw tells Ravi this at the end of the episode after he signs his mural.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Commander Shaw starts to give Ravi this after he admits to her that he's the one who painted the mural. She doesn't get very far, however, because Keytron attacks.
- What Were You Thinking?: Evox and Scrozzle's reactions to Robo-Blaze and Robo-Roxy's failed attempt to have Keytron simply march into Grid Battleforce Headquarters.
