Arriving in Kalos with Alexa, Ash meets up with the Gym Leader Clemont, his little sister Bonnie, and Serena, a forgotten acquaintance of his who has just begun her Pokémon journey and who has a special interest in him.

After foiling the machinations of the evil Team Flare and Serena giving a special good-bye to Ash, the group once again parts way, with Clemont & Bonnie remaining in Kalos, Serena traveling to Hoenn to participate in Pokémon contests, and Ash returning to Kanto once again.
