The twerps all spend the night at Professor Kukui's house, and some bonding begins to form between him and Professor Burnet. But when Nebby starts to Teleport things again, Lillie ends up having a setback.
This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
- Camera Fiend: Hobbes films Lillie at breakfast, apparently at Lusamine's request. Lillie is not amused.
- Mood Whiplash: After being mostly devoted to lighthearted slumber party antics and moments of bonding, at the end of the episode Lillie has a chance encounter with Gladion and Silvally, which completely undoes all her progress towards overcoming her phobia.
- Reflexive Response: Happens to Kiawe during the Z-Move pose game the group is having. He is very into it until he accidentally uses the Fire-type one and activates Inferno Overdrive on accident.
- Ship Tease: Professors Burnet and Kukui appear to be developing feelings during their trip from the market.
- Slumber Party: The plot for this episode is set during a sleepover at Kukui's house.
- Team Mom: The kids liken Professor Burnet to a mom when she helps out during the sleepover. She also hears Lillie out when she vents out her frustrations about Lusamine.
- Trauma Button: When she sees Silvally, Lillie completely regresses in her progress with Pokémon contact, to the point she can't even be with Snowy.
